Great question! HDMI 2.1’s full bandwidth would indeed be a fantastic feature for Epson’s lineup at this level. For insights on specific compatibility and performance details, reach out to our team at 877-417-9000 or schedule a free video consultation. We’re here to help!
It's still surprising that the technology is still not capable of providing native 4K with the high light output. From what I've read in terms of sharpness, the Epson is just as good as its native 4K competitors and the extra brightness gives it the wow factor.
Well yeah, The Sony's and JVC's with native 4K only look great in a completely black room. Even the Epson 6050 and LS12000 are brighter than those. I do agree that Epson should release a projector for Darkroom setups with Native 4K and with all the cool Lens shift and lens memory features that make Epson so easy to set up and use for Scope setups.

The ultra short throw lens is the same price as a QL3000? Why not go with HDMI 2.1's full bandwidth of 48GBs at the price point Epson is targeting?

You raise a valid point! The balance between brightness and native 4K resolution is indeed a critical aspect of projector technology.
No 3D, no money.
3D is what kept me from purchasing the LS12000 and will keep me from purchasing these. I will say the auto tone mapping is a well needed upgrade.
@@RicardoGarcia-xz1rz That is unfortunate. It would dissuade me from considering them.

@@jim_herd What exactly do you lose if a projector has 3d capabilities? To me an added feature adds value.
@@xxJudgmentalxx You misunderstand. I said that it’s unfortunate that it doesn’t have 3D and puts me off considering it.
Way to high $$$
