What do you expect?
This guy is a very good commentator and a very chill streamer.. I've never seen him stream but just watching him and his personality and behavior, he responds with the donations and reader, while it seems like sometimes the runners are just not paying attention to anyone or saying anything. I get that they're focusing, but it's an event for fun for charity and some just aren't charismatic.
I get that this is a 5y old comment, but I have to say as someone who watches Carci on twitch if I have the chance, he’s a great guy, his twitch chat is super nice too, and if he’s able to he will say hi to you too. Overall a really nice guy!
Carci is a really cool guy, his streams are great.
It's actually scarier to see Jill Valentine glitch out than the zombies chasing her.
I can't wait to see the first RE2 Remake speed-run at a GDQ event, and I hope Carcinogen is the one who gets the honor of being the first event runner for the game. Lord knows when that game comes out, his entire life is gonna be about that game, same with the rest of us RE fanatics lol.

I know it's silly but I smiled every single time when Jill was going up/down the stairs. Especially when she passed by the zombie and it puked.
I have to thank GDQ for making me discover a lot of great runners. I love RE and seeing it played like it's the easiest thing ever it's amazing. Thanks to Carcinogen for the great runs in the event and the ones he does on Twitch

resident evil 1 on ps1 is my favorite game of all time. I got it launch day when I was 10 years old. It truly gave me nightmares
I started with re2, except I was too frightened to play it lol

About the same. We played it through with my dad. 32 now and I still have nightmares about it occasionally.
Used this to beat the game in 02:49:00 and got 2 achievements 😀. So if you're looking to beat it in under 3 hours, this was a useful guide as well as a great speed run.

Im on my knife (only) run and I cant believe that its easy for people to do this. I am right out of the first hour, but its definitely giving me more time with a game that I know backwards to forwards and then back again. I never tried dodging before and its actually a pro skill...I am still learning.

Sorry, I never got a notification for this. Yes, I did beat it! It was actually not as tough as I thought once I got going. Best friend is dodging.
I've done knife only and it was actually quite easy, it was one of my quickest runs as I didn't bother running around picking ammo up etc I could just ignore all of it, the part that gave me most trouble was plant 42

because the text scrolls faster to save time. its the us version i guess. he just changed language
I'm fairly sure japanese text contains more info in the same space than english does, probably means less text overall during the game

when one of them said capcom was cutting costs when they were composing the remastered music, i was like no way you said that, those were rearrangements of the original soundtrack, i love to hear them again

Why is enemy AI tied to framerate? That's sounds so weird.
A lot of games essentially run a 'check' for certain things on the frame counts. Like, the game may have a code which runs a check to see if the zombie is close enough to attack, and if it is tied to frames, a higher frame rate means it checks it more frequently. Hopefully I made sense there.
"Why are you playing the Japanese version of the game?" is a great question, but a better question is why are you playing this on a tube tv?

The flamethrower was working when it was in the elevator... The compactor broke open the box & broke the flamethrower. Lol
At 20:59 the "mashing" technique Carcinogen does with his thumb and index finger is unique and rare to see. I'm double jointed in my hands and learned to do that form of mashing by a friend that was also double jointed. I've never seen another person do it outside of the two of us.Once mastered you make turbo control functions look like a joke. I'm not sure if it can be done without being double jointed, but it maybe possible.
Watching this run way too long after it got uploaded but im not double jointed and definitely can do it. I just have to tense up my forearm(?) and my arm like jitters almost and i can mash buttons way faster than alot of people i know can. It definitely hurts though

What happens in the first minute that he starts in the dining room, then just hammers the button by the entrance door so that the first zombie has already entered the room? I thought you had to go through the end door, go to the end of the hall to trigger the first zombie, then run back?
