@Baba Ganush - i did not get 'a ton of research' out of that. What made you think that was the only source for research he might have done? Watch the video again, and see if you can spot the clues.
That murphy bed is a great idea. The two tone wood cabinets are nice too. There's some nice manufactured trailers out there, but nothing beats the quality and design of a hand built trailer.
This is an impressive build. Every time he opened something I became more impressed, the table, the Murphy bed, the toilet storage,, etc. Truly enjoyed watching this video. This gentleman knows what he's doing.
Omg. I've seen thousands of builds. This one actually made me change my plans I have been working on for years. Wow! Great job guy. What an inspiration.
+1 BUMP, etc. between the bed and still be able to put a bike in there this is awesome - let alone the stain/finish work. I, too, have been looking at a project like this for a long time and this is easily the best I've seen.
My only problem with it is the potty placement. I need to go in the middle of the night. I guess I'd leave to bucket in the "hall" before bed. I love your videos because the rig owners are so enthusiastic when they talk about their builds.
If you mostly need the potty at night to just pee, try a urinal bottle. I found one on Amazon for under $12, it’s very compact and I can just dump it out in the morning. I spray it with cleaner/disinfectant, stuff a paper towel in it and store it in handy dedicated “zipper shoe bag” (super handy bags with a loop to hang on anything). Traveled from North of Seattle to Mesa Az last month with my 72 year old mom in my Aliner and she was happily surprised how easy it was to pee (several tines a night, then you may need to dump it, I use a laundry bottle). We didn’t take my porta potty cuz we knew we wouldn’t be wild camping, but have toilets available everywhere.
@@marlenen6130I used a urinal bottle for the first time while on the road with my husband in a tractor-trailer. It was the first time I was ever envious of men. Standing up to pee-a revelation!
Excellent build. Lots of great ideas that we could use in our box truck. When it comes to build outs, it's good to use things like 1 x 1 and 2 x 2 and hollow core doors. Folks sometimes forget that they need to build an aircraft, not a tank.
I had to laugh when I saw the murphy bed setup along with the fold out dining table and they were ideas I suggested to my wife some time ago lol.. I think its a wonderful Idea.
Absolutely brilliant build! Great utilization of space, no frills but everything you need to have a good time camping. And he explains things in a way that helps other people think about what would work for them. Love this video, thanks Patrick & thanks Curt!!
I'm super impressed...and the reverse engineering idea is just brilliant! Very basic designs, cost effective and very helpful and inspirational. Thank you!
Hands up to the guy, he basically built this all himself and worked around problems that he encountered like weight.. TV.. bed.. cabinets etc Great trailer and nice to see your living the life buddy Shazad Bham England
Love to know the load weight on this trailer, definitely the way to go when building movable stuff. Hopefully this will inspire many and start a new trend in light weight construction.
This is this man’s pride and joy. You can tell by how he explains the features. He acts like most things are messy or sorry about that but at the same time he throws out those tech specs and how he made them in depth. He’s proud and should be. It’s an amazing build. Well done.
He did a great job, of course like many good souls he pointed out many of the flaws he sees but few of us would have ever noticed. Really nice job and thank you for the tour, what a great place to stay during his travels. Cheers from Wisconsin.
Fantastic build. The guy has a great analytical mind to figure everything out, including space for the motorcycle, as well as the table to eat and the murphy bed to sleep. (The trailer is almost like one of those "transformer" toys, where it changes into so many different things....bedroom, dining room, bathroom, etc.)
FANTASTIC build...! He uses space in original and smart ways..there's NO waste; and, it's ORIGINAL! Y'ALL are going to enjoy this conversion!! ENJOY!! 👍👍😁😁👍❤👣
Hey Patrick! This guy thought of everything! Smart layout and usage of space. He did good. I love it when folks put in Murphy beds. They just make good sense as they don’t take up space you can use for other things. Really nice camper. Got everything covered. He definitely was clever in the build and use of things. Pretty smart! I wish he and his wife happiness, health and safety on their travels. Enjoyed the video! ❤️💜💚

Thanks for getting an interview with this owner. I would love to see more of these diy builds. Great job once again!
This trailers super cool. It looks like a fun hobby turned investment. There’s also some cool about how your videos are lightly edited. It must not be easy to already get it in one take but when it does, it’s really nice for us (and for you)! Also I feel like that guitar rift into fits your personality 🤙🏽🤟🏽
Wow. Such a well thought out space!!! I have been watching these builds for half a decade or more and this is one of the best I have seen!!! Wow!!! It’s such a TINY space but he didn’t skip on the options!!
This one perhaps the most innovative conversion I've ever seen. This guy is a genius. This is the first time I've seen the murphy bed (with dresser) / dinning table / toilet configuration. I think as more people see this, it will quickly become The standard.
I love the conversion camper. I just halftop buy a 5x8 today and was looking at UA-cam when I ran across this video. I was shocked when I saw the gentleman’s shirt. He was in the Coast Guard just like myself. I’m a 30 year veteran, now retired. I have a Jeep Wrangler unlimited to use as my tow vehicle. So I had to keep the trailer I choose small. Stunning overview, well presented. I like how you engineered solutions from available materials. I've had a 10 x 6 trailer for 3 years and its only now that I have sufficient raw materials to insulate, fit out and finally get it done. I like yur style Sir.
I love that dark wood countertop, so spacious and beautiful. A smart man if he has a Berkey Water Filter, this is the best portable solution for clean water. It even takes out arsenic and fluoride if you add the white filters. I would urge everyone to get the arsenic filters as Los Angeles and other cities have high arsenic levels in tap water. A creative bed solution and all the bedding too. So much space for pillows, sheets, blankets, towels, bulky items like sweaters. Clever to make a second wall. The wood cabinets are lovely and have an artistic look to them, and they are real wood not MDF. The spice rack is spacious and so nice to have! Looks great. The solid roof rack with solar mounted is also good for not overheating solar panels and allowing air flow below. I would add a fairing in front so wind does not lift them up when driving and there is no risk of shearing off or wind damage with time. What an incredible number of skills you need to build out a trailer like this. He made his own cabinets, all that electrical work, plumbing, weight distribution, welding of roof rack, simply amazing. Well done, and I envy your skills. This is a functional, roomy trailer with lovely handmade features. Your wife is a lucky woman! Thanks for the tour.
Sweet. Exactly how I was going to do the Murphy bed I’m the trailer I’m doing. Nice to see how my thinking is gonna work out. I like the storage behind it. The ottoman idea is pretty sweet too, it gives you more room and storage, plus you can use it to sit at the table or kick up your feet while watching tv. 😁👍

I like your setup. Compact but comfy. I agree with you about the electric usage. If we’re paying for it, we’re using it! Our last trip we were turned on to the ice machine! It makes nice little cubes really fast. We had the ac unit (which is the same way we use ours!) going too. Electric frying pan, toaster, fridge, and coffee pot!

Looks great love the ideas for our cargo conversion. 7x12 seems to be a good size with what he did. We have a 6x8 so less space but has good ideas & we’re not hauling motorcycles so its good enuf.
Saw this on Jonnie's Journey (I think that was what she calls her channel), but here I get to see much more. Curt certainly has packed a lot into a small cargo trailer and with so many great ideas here... from a freezer set to not freeze, in addition to one that does. So many ways to keep it lighter, but not detracting from the quality of the cabinetry. Repurposing all the things he did, my way of doing things. Modifying the 25 year old dish rack into a spice rack, beautiful! The only thing I don't like is containers used for gray tanks. It apparently works for them. Best wishes and safe travels.
