thanks man really enjoyed this video , fpv content in general has really gone downhill recently, this type of video really inspires me to get out and fly again. 👍
My man! Youre really an inspiring pilot to me. I'm in the process of building my new apex rn (a clone😏) and it's complicated af. But I took a lot of inspiration from your builds. Thank you!
I bought an Avata 2 Kit to practice Acro mode. My hope is the goggles 3 will be unlocked for 03 in a reasonable time frame. I want to build something like this, so I can start to push further. Clean build! Thanks for the video.
Really great video, well done! Was just wondering if there's an easy tutorial or something to follow to see what else would be required to make that frame into a full working drone? I mean all the parts and so on and so forth? Would love to know how much it would cost to make my own fully working system. Cheers!
Thank you! I have a couple build videos on my channel that go in depth into the building process if you want to check them out. ua-cam.com/video/vilk_83lJ3g/v-deo.html
That is a great video and a great location. I can't figure out what state it is in, it looks like South Dakota a bit but I don't think it has any rivers like that? I have a GEPRC 5 inch long range quad I use 4s 3000 mah li ion batteries and just an O3 and it flies forever and is really fun. Your frame looks awesome as well, I just didn't feel like building from scratch otherwise it would have been at the top of my list.
You can record internal to the O3, it has 20 gig internal storage. Or put an SD card in and it will record on that. Go to settings, camera, Advanced camera settings. Then select to record with goggles, air unit or both. Then go back to camera settings and select your frame rate, resolution and anything else you want to change. if you have the goggles V2 they have a red record button on top of the goggles to start and stop recording. If you have the goggles 2 or integra swipe down or use the 5D joystick button to pull down the menu from the main screen and you will see at the top a little camera icon that says record. Select that and it will start recording. the drone has to be armed for the air unit to recording video but the goggles will record if its not armed yet.
It's been a few days I pretended to build this beautiful frame, it flies very well but I'm not so expert to find perfect PIDs, could you share your PIDs that you used in these flights. Thanks for making this video 😜😎
This is only possible with the dji goggles 2. the older V2 wont do this. Im not sure about the goggles integra or goggles 3. But if you have the DJI goggles 2 there is an option in the goggle menu to record DVR with OSD or clean feed.
i reconize that park do you fly with eric? im a spokane flyer too. im currently living in the valley also i hear alot of dji 03 pilots dont use the eis and but gyroflow. im still learning so i have just kept eis on for now. it be cool i think if you did a side by side on eis vs gyroflow. im currently working on a flyfish atlas 4 lr build. (well i just order only the frame so far lol) i followed you since your a local pilot. i would love to connect if our schedules could align.
I have not flown with Eric, But I've met him a few times to buy and sell some quads. I would be down to fly some time. I still like GoPro footage with Reelsteady, the O3 just doesn't have enough dynamic range. I appreciate the follow. 🤘
I would Highly recommend an M10 GPS and betaflight 4.5 to get the same results as me. That being said here is the set up. -Initial climb 50 meters -Ascend rate 10 meters per second -Return Ground speed 21 meters per second -Max Pitch angle 50 -Decent distance 20 meters -Decent rate 1.5 meters per second -Throttle min 1100 -Throttle max 1700 -Throttle hover 1275 ( depends on drone weight but default setting is ok) -Min distance to home 15 -Min satellites 6 -Allow arm without fix ( for flying at places you dont need gps rescue like a park) Sanity checks = failsafe only. There are a few other little things that improve GPS rescue but thats the main settings. Im going to make a GPS rescue guide pretty soon that will explain everything in depth.
@@andrewmedia3568 cool, I also started from it. But faced some jelly effect on my camera(using analog) so I wonder, maybe i have some vibrations... (flying deadcat version of VD5)
So I put red reflective tape on my drones. I Had a bird get my quad. I thought it knocked it out the sky but after about a minute my controller said signal lost. I couldn’t find it the last place I saw video was. I over flew with another drone to try and find it. I pretty sure the bird carried my 3” off and when it got far away the control link dropped. Beeper made no noise either.
@@andrewmedia3568 The mapping guy had his 5 and 10in knocked out of the sky by birds but not carried off for sure. He says red reflector tape prevents most. It was a brand new quad i just build with an air unit 500$ gone lol
Some of it may come down to my color grading and exposure changes in post, but it was set for 4K 60FPS, ISO limit 6400, color D-cinelike (flat image profile for color grading), super wide FOV, WB 5500, shutter and ISO auto and 16:9 Aspect ratio. Hope this helps. 👍
GoPro has more dynamic range than the O3 so thats what I use to record. GoPro hero 9 or newer, 4K 30FPS 16:9 with an ND 32. Lock shutter at double your frame rate, so for me its 1/60 and limit your ISO to 1600. I also color graded this so that makes a big difference. Hope this helps let me know if you have any other questions.
@@andrewmedia3568 Thanks for replying! I was mainly referring to this video where you can see the OSD in some shots. Do you have the goggles set to 16:9 or 4:3?
@@grahamkeys Oh lol, I have mine set to 16:9 that way it fills the goggle screen more and feels more immersive. I used to fly 4:3 so I could see more top and bottom for skimming the ground but then switched back to 16:9 and just got used to it.
Rock breaks off the edge of cliffs reasonably often, some large and some small; on average, there are four deaths a year doing just what you did to show us you were on the edge, as I witnessed in Ireland. Please do a little research, and then if you feel like going to the edge of a cliff, you know the risk. Just saying. Nice love the build maybe build me one next. Im trying build a 7inch long range now. Any recommendations on motors lol I been going crazy looking lol?

I saw a guy on UA-cam use it. He maps with drones and has lots of bird issues.
