i totally did not understand how amazing this was when it came. some good things come with getting older, like a better attention span for things deserve it
I remember when this album came out in 2013 in my sophomore year of high school and thinking it was one of the most boring things I’ve ever listened to this track specifically making me never want to listen to it again. How little did I know being a 16 year old shit head, this album aged like fine ass wine in my adult years and savor every track. Really one of the best Electronic music albums of the decade next to Factory Floor’s self titled LP.
I personally really like this track. I know a lot of people find it boring which is completely understandable, however, I feel if you are able to appreciate it you will find that it is an incredibly somber and haunting soundscape worth your time.
crazy shit is. i went through 8 mins and didnt even notice. i zoned out that long in the embrace of sounds then fast forward is a min up...this would be deep alternative that is saying its missing the outlet to the audience with a more broader approach to music.
this was their last and most political album… the 'old dreams' they refer to are of marxism and feminism and the historical mission of both these ideologies to transform society
Dunno I just took it more at the title value and thought it was about old dreams waiting to be realized in a literal sense, like the dreams and things you wanted as a child and it was visualising the way they would sound, like something old but still active
I love the knife and really like most of this album, usually skip a couple of tracks from it though this being one of them. Maybe if they cut it down ..a 4 minute radio friendly version might get it to number 1 lol

The knife cheers you, they make you euphoric, they get you down and also scares the shit out of you. I mean...fucking genious.

What happened

this was their last and most political album… the 'old dreams' they refer to are of marxism and feminism and the historical mission of both these ideologies to transform society
and this track consists of sounds generated by suffering human nature being confronted by the attempts of bringing these dreams to life
@@Rina-wt8zp or distopía is what we se now
