Check to make sure your rear brake master cylinder isn’t touching the exhaust so it doesn’t ruin that component. I helped assemble a magician last weekend and that component was slightly touching the exhaust.
Great video! Looking for something to teach my not-very-tall wife to ride on. Did you have to re-jet the carb at elevation? I’m at 7,000 ft in northern New Mexico. How long did it take to get once ordered? How much assembly is required? Not too worried about assembly since I would want to lock tight as much as possible, just curious is all.
No jets are good and I'm at 6500 elevation. It took about 5 or 6 weeks but times vary a lot. Assembly was pretty easy. Got it together with my girlfriend in about 3 hrs.
Good points in your video! They call that type of chain adjusters, snail cam adjusters. I'm considering one of these for myself. I have always liked dual sports, and have owned my dare of them. I'm 5'8". You think this bike would be okay for me at that heigth?
I don't understand why people don't add a bolt on spring loaded chain tensioner to the swingarm like old MX bikes and maybe new ones..Keeps the chain taunt..Reduces wear on the chain..output shaft and is safer..🤔
I'm picking mine up Tuesday I bought it couple days ago dmv being restricted got it taking days to get plates but I'll be riding soon enough I'm pretty mechanical but you got right to the point so well and now I got my rachet sizes ready as well
@@HARTLINE310 i noticed you took the kick starter off. i did that with my klr. i live in wv. if the battery dies i just park on as hill and pop the clutch on the way down. but i use lithium batteries. im on my 5th yr on 3 bikes. it starts my 1500 no problem.
@@Denver1976Man Put that kick starter back on. It can save your ass. The KLR is a heavy PIG anyway so another few ounces won't kill it. I miss mine. Overall great dependable bikes but big, tall and heavy. They suck so much ya gotta lov'em. WV is beautiful just like KY where I live.
Works great for a beginner. My girlfriend has only a suzuki drz125 and she rides it with no problem. My son is 13 and has a blast. Winter will be no issues just put lighter weight oil during winter
I have no experience and am afraid of this thing maybe i should have got a used more known brand lol. I got it already assembled and what not, I heard the stock oil isn't good for these is that true?
It is who knows what kind of oil so best if you switch it. A healthy amount of fear is always good on a motorcycle anyways. It keeps you from doing dumb stuff.
I’m having an issue with it idling it starts good but after like 10 seconds it shuts off and sometimes it shuts of while Driving but start back up automatically I’m in Kansas and I’m at 1066 above sea level it says to use a 98 main but if I’m right it has a 100 but I saw a video and it said the air screw was all the way in could that be my issue?
www.vmcchineseparts.com/ this is the place I buy almost all my parts from for my two dual sports. And they work great and cheap on cost plus get there pretty fast.
lots of positive things in this video about the Magician is contrast to LA Hover review called Magician 250 1600 miles. If I only listen to that review, there is no way I’d buy it but my choices are very limited in the chinese enduros cuz I’m 5’5” tall...just want something to ride on dirt trails
MotoCheez’s Magician has over 10,000 miles on it now and still runs like a champ. LA Hover apparently isn’t that familiar with ChinaBikes. We have guys in the Hawk 250 Enduro Facebook group that have @ 20,000 miles on their bikes and they’re still running strong.
You need to know your bike and these China bikes are a good way to do that. Many complaints are people not doing assembly correctly and / or not doing simple things that need to happen to insure problems do not pop up. Many. many videos here and info on the wild, wild, interwebzzz. Good Luck!
On the rear wheel you loosen axle nuts a little then rotate the circular silver metal piece with numbers to higher numbers then tighten the axle nuts back.
Sorry took so long to reply man. Check out this website. They have almost every thing for Chinese bikes and quads you might need. www.vmcchineseparts.com/

Can’t believe I didn’t think to fold up the peg when kickstarting! Lol I thought it was bad design that my kick starter wouldn’t cycle fully
Got me too at first

If the screw you are referring to is the one I believe that's the air fuel mixture screw. Yes that has to be adjusted for your elevation and jets

I'm sorry you have had problems. But that still don't change the fact it's a good bike for what it is and especially the price.
We have had very few minor issues with ours.

How do I tighten the chain on the magician 250?
On the rear wheel you loosen axle nuts a little then rotate the circular silver metal piece with numbers to higher numbers then tighten the axle nuts back.
I keep having an idle issue I’ve messed with the screw an only had it idle for only a few minutes
What do you mean when you say idle issue?
How do I put the forks lower I can’t even get the bearing nut close to being on because they raised up so high
Jack the bike up on a stand and it will give you clearance
which do you like best. the hawk or the magician?
Depends on the type of riding. On road magician most times. Off road the hawk most times. All around the hawk though

12volt and most of us run between 6 and 9 ah

What state are you in
Colorado
Why's the fuel coming out of the Air breather on thisbike
They sometimes have a little blow through. On everyone I've seen. Even My hawk does it.
Went riding on mine and came back inside for 30 min cause of the heat and now it wont start
What elevation are you at? You probably need to rejet the carburetor.
I got it and it won’t turn over, kickstand is up and kill switch is off
In neutral?

The float is most likely sticking or out of alignment.
