You don’t remember that 2016 series correctly if you’re saying this. The thing that made the KD move so annoying is because Golden state could’ve legit ran it back and probably won without making ANY moves. But they had room to sign another max player so that offseason even if Durant didn’t come the warriors were going to be vastly better than that 73 win team we seen.
@@cheerioss-9121 Yeah, people are forgetting it took a herculean effort for Cleveland to come back in that series. LeBron James and Kyrie Irving each scored 41 points for Cleveland to take Game 5. ****THANK YOU!!! **** FINALLY SOME COMMON SENSE! I've been listening to so many people talking about how KD is a better scorer than MJ. He's 7 feet tall. You can't teach that. Blah, blah, blah. I've said this for years and Pat Bev, for one game, started to show that I was right and it's that if you get physical with KD, he's not the same player. I implore anyone who never watched MJ in his prime to go watch any playoff Pistons/Bulls or Knicks/Bulls games and tell me if KD would be able to stand up to the *BEATING* MJ took night in and night out. Go look at the play where Dennis Rodman shoved Scottie Pippen into the stanchion and tell me if KD gets up from that. FINALLY people are saying what has been obvious to me for years: KD is wonderful, but he's a product of today's NBA, with its softer rules and defenses. I guarantee you if you transported KD back to 1989 and put Dennis Rodman on him, KD wouldn't score 15 points!
The reality is he should have stayed with the Warriors and dominate the league for a decade with Steph. Going to Brooklyn was a mistake. If he really wanted to leave Golden State that bad he should have gone to the Knicks.
It wasn't as much as going to Brooklyn was the mistake, but Kevin Durant's biggest mistake was hooking up with Kyrie Irving. I never understood why did some people think a Durant-Irving duo would work, given Irving's shoot-first, dribble-heavy style, injury history and the toxic chemistry that disrupts teams.
Sorry Antonio Nick is right, it does affect KD's legacy, number one for listening to that fool Kyrie Irving ,two for having being coached by Steve Nash, who he signed off on it. Whose fault is that. Life is nothing but an algebraic equation a + b = C.
Yeahhh i'm shocked. On my ALL TIME list KD just fell back a few spots to right behind Curry. Giannis will pass them both, its just a matter of putting in more years. In this era i have LeBron, and Giannis will be ahead of Curry due to his overall game and playing defense.
Walker drank KD kool-aid and making excuses for him. Stop it. They would have crucified LBJ if this happened with him. KD can't win a championship without Steph Curry. He had to leave a losing team to join a championship team and won two championships with them. It was never his team. He is not a great leader or can carry a team. KD is the best scorer in the NBA and one of the best top 20 guys ever.
To me Doctor J is the second greatest small forward ever, only behind LBJ. His first five ABA seasons from age 21 to 26 was as great a first five seasons for any players in ABA/NBA history ... 3 League MVPs, 3 Scoring Titles, 2 Finals MVPs, 2 League Championships.
Durant was the best player in the league when the Warriors were thumping the league. Steph was arguably just as important offensively, but Durant also played elite help defense and brilliant iso ball in addition to being an excellent cog in their machine. Durant has held his own statistically in his playoff matchups with Bron and Giannis. Durant definitely did not help his case this season, but he has a handful of years to try to tie/pass Bron in terms of championships. If/when that happens, the narrative changes.

He wanted to be the bus driver on a championship team, and now that he’s failed he won’t take accountability for it
It wasn't as much as going to Brooklyn was the mistake, but Kevin Durant's biggest mistake was hooking up with Kyrie Irving. Yeahhh i'm shocked. On my ALL TIME list KD just fell back a few spots to right behind Curry. Giannis will pass them both, its just a matter of putting in more years. In this era i have LeBron, and Giannis will be ahead of Curry due to his overall game and playing defense.
Nick was on point with everything he said.
Man KD hair in the thumbnail is just becoming historical bad😂😂
