Hi. I have Balentine's blended rare edition. Is it worth a lot? I think it began evaporsting. Should I drink it or keep it as a collectible? I could use your advice.
Both Ballantine’s and William Peel are Scotch blends, but there are differences in their composition. Ballantine’s is a mix of malt and grain whiskies, with malt coming from several distilleries, including Glenburgie and Miltonduff. William Peel is also a blended Scotch, combining malt and grain whiskies, though the specific distilleries aren't always disclosed. As for maize, Scotch whisky is typically made from malted barley, but grain whisky in blends can include other cereals like maize.
@@Bespokeunit I know that grain Whisky can include other cereals like rye or wheat, and I'd be eager to discover some single grain whisky with rye malt, but maize is in fact the only cereal that I don't really like..
Have not reviewed Jack Daniels but if it makes a difference, we have done Jim Bean Double Oak (ua-cam.com/video/452bYAl0bys/v-deo.htmlsi=YyhId56GDksAeRIz) which I suppose is a close cousin. Rafael
Thanks for taking the time and your effort making this! Much appreciated!
Glad it was helpful!

I was generally pleased with my samplings of Ballantine's Finest.
Assuming that includes this Scotch as well?
@@Bespokeunit Yes.
Everyone has a different palate but for my money, I really really like this stuff. It's up there with JW Black for me 🤷🏻♂️ and less $
5:49 For those of you who practice yoga, that was a beautifully, as well as a literally executed Down Dog-Up Dog.
😂
Please review Bains whiskey. It is a South African whiskey whith some great awards under the belt
Hey Philipp,
I'll be adding Bains to our list of whiskeys to review in future videos/articles over on Bespokeunit.com.
Best,
Rafael
What is Ballantine made of compared to William Peel ? I hope that there is no maize in both Scotch blends..

@@Bespokeunit I usually just drink it on the rocks. It’s great mixed with ginger ale as well.

Finish is short and bitter for me
This definitely needs a drop of water it's very harsh
Fair enough! Or some ice might achieve the same result.
