    The history of Ballantine’s goes back as far as 1827 when it started in a grocery store in Edinburgh. The current head office is situated Dumbarton, Scotland.
    Ballantine’s is owned by Chivas Brothers, part of Pernod Ricard group.
    Ballantine’s is the world’s second biggest selling Scotch whisky.

    Ballantines Finest NAS blended Scotch whisky was first produced in 1910 with more than 40 single malts and 4 single grain whiskies

    NOSE
    Soft, sweet grain syrup, honey, caramel, peppered spice, malt, cereal, slight alcohol burn
    TASTE
    Vanilla, caramel, apples, grain sweetness, white chocolate, malt, hint of smoke, cereal, pepper, bitter notes
    FINISH
    Short finish, warm, fresh, dry
    WITH WATER:
    Nose: more sweet grain and vanilla aromas
    Taste: more mellow with less pepper
    SUMMARY: quite full-bodied for a entry level NAS blend
    COMMENT: A decent blended whisky
