Me and my dad have always had a rocky relationship, but if we ever had anything to share, it was our love for Rush.
Growing up, I’ve seen both him and myself grow in a thousand different ways, and every once in a while you want to freeze the moments, and love and appreciate them even more for what they are while they’re still there.
Thanks for bringing a tear to my eyes, guys, and making those memories even more wholesome and meaningful. You deserve way more views than you already have.

This is so true. IMHO The most impressive cover of this song was recorded this year by Pershings Own. And it was truly dedicated to the memory of Neil Peart.

try to find ' Run For Cover' they did a rush tribute piece ( 5 or 6 man group) but the singinging sounds like what you said.
Yeah that just shows how great melodies are often "buried" beneath layers of instruments and production. This, and "Subdivisions" cover are absolutely beautiful.

Damn, another cover reducing me into a sea of tears, and challenging me to don a reluctant smile to push onward without Neil's artistry in the world. This world is a less happy place now. However, Neil's legacy will shine all on its own, and for that I willingly smile on, wiping the tears away.

Hell's YES. RUSH has been my favorite band for forty years. Time Stand Still likely # 50 of their, what, 1,000 original tunes? Yet, it was pivotal to a major change in me life, son. Incredibly nostalgic, not just now, but in that moment. She's incredibly mellifluous and emotive. LOVE
I've always told my son, " Utilize what you know and the next step shall be given ". Find different ways of doing the same thing and you'll create something new. You took one of my favorite Rush songs to another level, thank you. That was awesome.

Man, I'd almost kill for a karaoke version of this cover. Something with just some guide vocals on the chorus or something. What a great rendition of one of their greatest tracks.
I'm sure it can be done. Finding a karaoke MIDI file of the original version (which is available), dropping it down 3 semi tones from E standard to C# standard and slowing down the veolocity. Not 1:1 but we can get it close enough.

Amazing cover guys-great singing and great guitar sound and melodic.
A lot of my friends say Rush is a “musicians” band. Their only known for their “musicianship “. I am a musician and Rush is my favorite band but I’ve always loved them for their lyrics and the way their songs make me feel. They’re fantastic musicians but their music goes a lot deeper than that if you just listen. This version brings that side of Rush out brilliantly.
