Thank you for this wonderful and informative video!
Glad it was helpful! 🤤
It all looks delicious! :D
Yeeesssss 🤤
Thanks for the recommendations, Sarah! I'm definitely interested in Sushi Itsumi the most. I've been looking to try omakase sushi for the first time on my next trip, so this really helps! 😊
Oh if you're looking for an omakase sushi experience in Tokyo, I would definitely recommend Sushi Itsumi!! 🍣
great video thank you have a wonderful week
Thank you! You too 😊
Thanks Sarah for recommending Sushi Itsumi. On my next visit to Japan, I’m staying at The B Akasaka. The proximity will be an easy dinner choice after arriving in Tokyo in late afternoon.
Oh that's great! Make sure to make a reservation!
I love your channel soooo much. Do you think you could do another sushi buffet again, i loved it soooo much!
Thank you so much! I recently posted an AYCE sushi content on my Instagram so do check it out! 🙌 instagram.com/p/C8J7IuAy7nR/
Thank you for this wonderful map! I will absolutely use this! Will you update it every year? I Plan to visit Japan, but wonder if I should buy access for a later version. ❤
Thank you and yes, I am hoping to update it every year! If possible, I want to release the 2025 updated version at the end of this year or start of last year. So if you're coming to Japan next year, I would recommend you to purchase the 2025 version! If that hasn't been released yet by the time you come here, the 2024 one will be good enough!
Appreciate more helpful info from you about Japan again Sarah!! Hopefully soon I’ll be here and maybe you can help me out more as a great tour guide!! I would like that very much!! 😊😊😊
The restaurant I’m most interested in is the Okinawan one: Haibana. The food is similar but slightly different from the main islands of Japan. It’s definitely a hidden gem foreigners wouldn’t seek out without a recommendation. As for my memorable meal in Japan it was at a Sushi-ya in Tsukiji outer market: Shutoku Ganso (秀徳元祖). It was a random place I stumbled across without any research in a little alley. The chef was very friendly and I got a few extra pieces outside the omakase menu which was very nice of him.
I love Okinawan food especially Okinawa soba. I always have it at the end of the meal (like ramen). I haven't been to Shutoku Ganso, but I've recently been to Shutoku Megumi! I think they're both run by the same group! I booked it in advance, and it was very nice. I wish I got extra pieces too... haha
Sarah
Hi Sarah! Thanks for your videos. I’m watching them all 😊 I’m travelling to Tokyo with 2 kids on my own (2 yo and 10yo). Is Tokyo and restaurants child friendly?
For Okinawan food: have you been to Uminchushubou in Sunshine City? How does it compare to haibana?
No I haven't!
I would be curious to look up all 5 of them personally, but if I am to narrow down to the ones that grabbed my attention the most, it would be number 1 and 5. Personal picks are a bit difficult for me, but I suppose one good example would be the izakaya in Shibuya, I think it's called "Tengu". It is located at the corner of a crossing almost next to the area where railway bridge is (too difficult to explain, but I believe its next/ close to Resona Bank? Somewhere in that building basically). always grab a sizzling steak, grilled squid, assorted sashimi, shark cartilage, edamame, lightly pickled cucumbers and various dried fish snacks + corn tea, flavoured sour or beer (Sapporo classic usually). EDIT: and Bear Papa's in Akihabara under that railway bridge, I am CRAZY about that place XD
I need to check out Tengu! That sounds amazing!
Do you mean Beard Papa - the cream puff pastry place? I LOVE that place too 😆 It's always so tempting when you walk pass that place because of the smell 😂
@@TokyoFoodieSarah Yes, the cream puff shop! I even noticed they expanded flavours during my second trip in May compared to the previous one in Oct when they only had custard. Now they also have matcha and strawberry! Though the pastry/ bread itself slightly changed too. In Oct I think they had a puff with fried pumpkin bits on top of it, but in May they introduced a matcha bread.
Hey Sarah, when's your next video drop?
Hopefully this weekend! :)
When me a Mexican-American watch this video I know a little bit of Spanish but I'm starting to learn a lot takes time Cuando mexico americano y yo miramos este video un poco de español pero estoy empezando un poco mucho tómate un tiempo p

Ehhh…this is not very informative and it’s more of a paid ad than anything else…this is the new business model???
Firstly, none of these restaurants are sponsored, nor have they ever sponsored me in the past. These are all places I personally visited and enjoyed. Secondly, if something is sponsored, it must be disclosed clearly by law. Even without the law, I would always disclose any sponsored or gifted content because I believe in being transparent with my audience. But thanks for stopping by!
And I would still like to book a tour with you as well also!! I’ll be sure to find out more on the website you have!! 🫶🫶🫶
