That is how crows show love. He is trying to groom your head. And you can hear the frustration in his caw that you are rejecting his love and cuddles. Since they can groom every part of their own feathers except their own head and necks, they need their mates or fellow crows to groom these areas. It mesmerizes them.
Aw I didn’t know that 🥰 He/She was a lovely bird that I miss a lot, he left like a month ago to make his own family but yesterday came back to say “hi” and I knew it was him because their tail feathers have a special shape, he is now 💯 wild. Thanks for such a nice comment 🥰
@@Marlene5018 Did you rehabilitate him? To be fair, I would not enjoy a crow tickling my ears with their beak either. The other thing is...they don't have ears so have no idea how that feels. I can only tell my crows apart by their personalities and the sound of their voices. I have one old male crow who is the crotchety old grandpa who has a raspy loud annoying caw. He is rude and demanding and gets zero treats unless he behaves. Then there is the nice crow who has the lovliest of manners, patiently waits after one soft caw or meow on my deck. He knows I can hear him. Lately he has been playing hide and seek with me. He loves to get me outside after he has eaten and hide in the trees so I can't see him. They say crows are as smart as a 7 year old child. Maybe one day he will let me pet him.

In the beginning he used to sleep in a little cage at night in home and free all day light until he decided to sleep outside and eventually left… When I found him, he was very skinny, almost bones. It was on the ground next to a busy street. I saw him while I was driving my daughter to school so when I saw a tiny thing I new it was a bird, then I stopped to grab him and he didn’t put up any resistance because he was weak. Then I realized that It was a baby crow! 🥰 I also have videos of him in his early age so we can tell that he grew, got fat and more feathers eventually. We, (all the family was involved and in love with this little soul) used to feeding him with pieces of raw meat, fruits (he loved watermelon and cantaloupe) and also cat food. Each one in this family had a name for him to call it, and he understood very smart each name, curiously having preference for female people in the family. When someone visited us he was going, he seemed not to be friendly with strangers 🤣 Now all this became memories … It is wonderful that you don’t have one but a bunch of crows! They are wonderful “feathered people!” 🥰
@@Marlene5018 it was kind of you to help the baby bird. When he was so tiny. What did you feed him? Crows are as smart as a 7 year-old child. The women are more nurturing , they are gentle, and less threatening. Females also typically make and distribute the food. I wonder why they like cat food. Ready source of protein and vitamins in a dish at everyone's house that has a cat. Usually left outside all day. They don't trust strangers, they are warry until they bond with them somehow. What I like noticing is all their different personalities. There are even spousal arguments. The whole crow family around here is very fun. But they don't let me get too close. Maybe one day they will trust me more.

The funny thing is that cat-food has three colors (brown, yellow and orange) and he used to pick only the brown color, if I offered him orange or yellow he wouldn’t accepted but if put it directly on the beak he would spit it out 🤣. Right, they have the intelligence of a 7yo kid and they can also live around 40 years, more than a dog or cat, is not amazing? My husband knows someone that use to feed wild crows in his backyard and he says that crows eat from this persone’s hand but I think that this took two o three generations of crows coming around in order to trust this guy. :)

Hola! Muchísimas gracias por comentar 😆 Los animalitos son maravillosos, especialmente los que muestran cierta inteligencia que divierte! Este cuervito era adorable! Siempre lo mantuvimos libre para cuando estuviera listo para hacerse independiente y así fue. Reconozco su sonido y sé que anda a los alrededores pero ya no se acerca. Lo curioso es que al principio cuando lo traje a mi casa para alimentarlo (lo encontré tirado en la calle muy desnutrido, era casi un bebé) siempre había una pareja de cuervos que lo vigilaba y cuidada desde un punto cercano y cuando pensaban que estaba en peligro llamaban a más cuervos que volaban sobre la casa haciendo un ruido tremendo! 😅 pero eventualmente lo convencieron para unirse a su parvada… por mucho tiempo lo extrañamos hasta que nos tocó acostumbrarnos a estar si el … Aun tienes la urraca? @@Marlene5018 Pues qué bien que tenga ya su propio grupo, seguramente serán familia. La mía la traje a casa porque la mordió un perro a los 2 días de bajar del nido, aún no sabía volar. Conozco a los padres desde hace 9 años porque anidan en un olmo frente a mi ventana (vivo en un 4 piso). La traje, la curé las heridas y le entablillé la patita rota y sus padres venían constantemente para ver cómo estaba. La alimentabamos todos😂 Después de 2 meses, comenzó a salir ratitos cortos, pero pasaba más tiempo en mi salón viendo la tV y jugando, q fuera. Poco a poco pasaba más tiempo fuera, pero venía a dormir y a por cariñitos y finalmente se quedó con su familia, pero al vivir tan cerca, la veía a diario y me contestaba si decía su nombre. Luego me fui 15 días de vacaciones y cuando regresé no estaba con ellos. No sé q habrá pasado, lo más seguro es q la tenga alguien en casa, ya q le gustaba la gente y era super cariñosa. Si se acercó a alguna terraza, estando la mía cerrada esos días, pues seguro q alguien se encariñô. La extraño un montón, no he visto animal más dulce e inteligente q ella. Su familia me visita a diario, pero la relación q tenia con ella era única. Ojalá esté bien, pero me da mucha pena q después del esfuerzo no pueda estar libre y con su familia.

No soy activista ni nada...pero siento mucho respeto y admiración a nivel íntimo. No te creas q la mayoría entiende esto, de hecho muchos ni se fijan en lo hermoso q está el árbol frente a su casa o q animales conviven a su alrededor. Yo lo tengo difícil por vivir en una ciudad, pero disfruto lo q veo a diario. De hecho, esos pequeños detalles me hacen muy feliz.
