Man you don't know wtf you're talking about here.
    1. Nets can't acquire Ayton cause they have Simmons.
    2. Even if they could, Ayton is a MUCH worse asset than Bridges on their contracts and has taken a step back this season. Him on his contract is not huge value.
Bridges is on one of the best value contracts in the NBA that has 4 years on it NBA through his prime, Cam Johnson who's a starting quality player on competitive in his prime, and Jae Crowder they swapped for 5 second round picks.
Taking into consideration contract situations, Bridges is probably worth like 2 unprotected first round picks on his own and Johnson is worth 1 lightly protected pick.
So in essence if you convert the trade in terms of pick value, it's about:
    -6 unprotected first round picks
-1 lightly protected first round pick
    -1 pick swap
    -5 second round picks
In terms of sheer value they got one of the biggest hauls in NBA history other than maybe Paul George, who was traded for so much because it guaranteed the Clippers would get Kawhi as well.

Jaylen Brown is going to be a free agent next season and has made it clear he doesn't want to play for Joe Tsai, so it shouldn't be a surprise that the Nets weren't after him.
Despite clearly regressing and turning 35, the Nets managed to get a potential future all star in Bridges, who is on an incredible contract, an elite role player in Cam Johnson, four unprotected 1sts, and a swap.

Mikal bridges alone Memphis offered 4 firsts & nets said no, he’s that good, I think the suns got robbed kd is 35 & injury prone, the suns traded all there depth , they now have the worst bench in the league

I don’t think they got fleeced here, those picks out of all the places the could have sent him are the most likely to be valuable when they come around. KD and CP3 are old, ina few years it might be an Old KD and injured book with no depth just like the lakers.

Disagree on getting fleeced due to KD stay getting hurt every year. Plus you can't trade picks in back to back drafts. Stay in school. Can't keep who don't wanna be kept. 🤣

They would have had to move Simmons for basically any meaningful young player on a max deal to be allowed to play on the team and his value is incredibly low right now. Just wasn't gonna make sense
