We have come a long way. Crazy to think we are 10+ years in the game. And you are right, we have a bunch of sneakerheads, collectors, and entrepreneurs masquerading as both.
10 years to the day! That's impressive longevity. A lot of shoe reviewers have come and gone since then yet one still remains doing his thing.

I was in middle school when these dropped and first getting into shoes and these were absolutely my grail, a lot of new age sneaker heads were not around for Nike’s golden basketball era, and it was truly one of the best shoe eras for me

Real sneakerheads do want these colorways to GR. The jerks who think sneakers are a way to prove that you're better than someone or have more money than others hate this type of thing. I can't stand people not being able to get a model, colorway of their favorite team, player, memorable game, moment or whatever. These things are supposed to be fun for everyone. Sneakers are not status symbols or tools to prop yourself up on a pedestal. I say release every single "rare" model/colorway for all!
Seeing these reminds me of being an 8th grader wishing I could have them. This was such a good era of sneakers I can’t believe it was 10 years ago
