I was there, and I got a pretty crazy story from it!
So, I currently go to college in Worcester, Massachusetts, but I grew up near Hartford, and the weekend of this show was our fall break (really just a four-day weekend; we had Monday and Tuesday off), so my friend and I came down to my parents' house for a couple days so we could spend the night after the show. And on our way to the show, I had to run a couple errands, and while we were there, we saw some MAGAts waving an "f--- Biden" sign on the street corner.
Then, once we got to the show, we gathered in the pit, then we saw Code Orange, but we missed most of Fever 333's set since my friend didn't really care for them as much as the other bands, and I hadn't eaten in hours, so we got some food instead. But we got to see the tail-end of their performance, and by the time we got there, and Killswitch Engage was came on, the pit was overcrowded, because apparently, some morons decided it was a good idea to jump the fence into the pit!
Afterwards, sometime before Slipknot came on (IDR if this was before or after KSE), some guy behind us told my friend to take his mask off, and later on, had the gall to tell us, "hey guys, I jumped the fence and everything, but it's all good! We're all friends!" I wanted to really let him have it for being part of the reason we were all almost suffocating, but I really didn't feel like getting into a fight in the middle of an overcrowded Slipknot pit, so I bit my tongue and waited for Slipknot to come on.
After the show, as we were walking back to the parking lot, we heard some more people yelling, "f--- Biden," so my friend almost showed them his mask to piss them off! And then, I told him, "I don't mind if you say f--- Biden, as long as you say f--- Trump as well. Neither one of them are your friends." Some guy in front of us overheard me and said, "that's a good message."
The moral of the story: hating both Biden and Trump (and our corrupt, decrepit two-party system in general) is a great way to make new friends! Also, the metal community has a lot of morons in it, so be careful!
