The news that I learnt is , CM biren Singh is going through penalty and is charged later. But first, the dying lives matter. Between this the resignation or he still being has CM not going to influence the riot in anyway. He has no authority or power over the state due to implication of Art 355. When things get normal, new CM will be elected. It's the constitution.

The central government invoked/imposed Article 355 in Manipur on 4th May 2023. That means central government was responsible for the security of Manipur. That means even Modi government is more responsible than Biren Singh for the collapse of law and order in Manipur.

Meitei has used so many term like indigenous , narco terrorist, illegal immigrants, poppy cultivators, forest laws etc , etc in recent years.

What make the difference is how fast police is taking action on the complaint and bringing the perpetrators to the justice. The two women along with one's father and brother were forcefully taken from police by mob, then killed father and her 19 year old brother who was begging not to undress her have also been killed infront of the police. The mob then made them naked, paraded them on street and taken the young girl to a field and group rpd her. But, even after registering the FIR on 18th May, the double engine BJP government did nothing to arrest the culprits till the video become viral. Have you seen any crime to this level and delay by police to bring culprits to the justice anywhere in India including the rape capital UP?

If the current Manipur issue is between the people vs drug mafias, then the common innocent people would not suffer at all. Some extremist groups are using this idea of people against drug mafias, illegal immigrants as a reason to carry out their vested interests in the name of the people and not only the people fall for it but also believed it. The few extremist groups wanted chaos and we the people gave it. And, on the other hand, the government's inactive to watch over the extremists group from going astray led to a situation we are now in.
Unfortunately, we have reached a point of no return and Peace is far away from home but cessation of violence is viable and it is the need of the hour. And, the only long-lasting solution is Separate Administration and hopefully with it we will learn to live as good neighbours in the future.

The Chief Minister of Manipur has failed miserably in all his duties to uphold, law and order and the safety and security of all the people in his state and under his care and protection. He has allowed the rampaging mindless vicious mob to destroy, burn loot, rape and kill ordinary civilians and residents and the property in his state with impunity. The police themselves were giving up people in their protection to the mob. He failed to issue a Red Alert and call in the army to keep law and order when the riots got out of hand. He delayed and let the capital burn and incur huge damage and loss.
He just sat back and did nothing when the mob stole and emptied the full police arsenal and warehouse and then began a rampage on the Kuki community in the state. The BJP Chief Minister is a Meithei himself and so turned a complete blind eye to the mob rampage because they are people from his own community and he left them have the upper hand in the riots
How can there be any peace process in Manipur with a one sided - Meithi dominated majority with weapons terrorising the full population there?
Manipur needs a neutral fair and honest Chief Minister who originates from neither ethnic group. Is there no one to be found in the BJP experienced, competent and with integrity, to take up this post, then the state should be put under President's rule. Only then peace will return to Manipur.
