Manipur's top cop Thounaojam Brinda was allegedly forced to retract her statement by Meitei groups. One of her audio recordings went viral in which she could be heard accusing Arambai Tenggol and Meitei Leepun for the ongoing violence in the state. Both groups are Meitei-led organizations. She later retracted her statement in front of the media and some local people, claiming that she had been misinformed. Reportedly, FIR has also been registered against her.

I wish Kukis have even one percent of empathy and common sense. I wish they realize what path they have chosen. To demand a separate state being non indigenous is outright devilish and Unforgivable. The main cause of manipur violence:-1) Porous border which led the illegal immigrants to enter Manipur.The kuki leaders allowed them for their vote banks which was opposed by CM. 2)For stopping poppy plantation by illegal immigrants with kuki community. For that CM started "War on Drugs" As CM belongs to meitei they started killing meiteis. 3) Eviction since illegal immigrants enter they evacuated thousands of sq kilometers in the reserve forests areas and started making more than 1000+ villages in the past decades so CM started "Manipur Green Mission" And evicted their illegal houses. Because of so many such incidents the kuki community along with illegal myanmar militants started the violence on 3rd May and started killing burning houses and meitei innocents in Torbung area. They raped and killed many meitei women as we don't have any video we aren't able to expose because of that on 4th May as a reply the naked parade of the two ladies were happened to be done by an angry mob(you can even hear saying "noina toubadi yabra" Meaning "was that acceptable to do by your people to our meitei women? " There is no connection between meitei's ST status demand in this.
