That's a gorgeous kit, Dom! Nicely unboxed, too! I'm sure you'll have this built up in no time, hope you get some good weather for the spraying! All the best, mate! 👌👌😁😁👍👍
Hi there Dom, oh wow! A great looking Kyosho VW Beetle to RC-Dom-UK and I’m sure it’s going to turn out to be a great looker too…happy New Year to you and the family, enjoy a quality Kyosho 😊😉🥳🎉
Dom, I felt the same way when I unboxed the Ultima, Beautifully Presented, Beautifully laid out (in the box) & the blister pack(s), I know, not eco friendly but still a sight to see. Great video man!!!
Wow, what a well put together video, Dom! Nice presentation for a nice buggy! I have one and I like it a lot, I will be looking forward to seeing what you do with yours! That sandy area you got, it's perfect for this buggy, I think. You making it crazy fast or keeping it reasonable? All the best there, buddy!
Did someone get lucky this Christmas? 🤔 Great unboxing video matey. As usual the quality of these Kyosho kits is 'next level',love how comprehensive they are, and all those metal components are devine! Growing up in a time when nearly all kits came with blister packs, I have a real emotional attachment to them, always makes the kit feel so special. Only problem is, it also makes it harder to bring yourself to cut them all up in order to build them! What motor are you thinking of driving this beauty fella? I have a mate who runs the superstock rz in his and its rediculously quick.... but at the same time not too OTT, it seems a great match if you intend to go down the brushed route. And, I must ask..... how do the tires smell mate? 😂 🤣 👍 👍 👍 👍
Thanks buddy 😊 I will be building this in spring hopefully. I’ll check out that motor . Probably keep it around 25t as I have a tamiya esc spare . They really do feel a bit special These kits . Ive done two before and they are very enjoyable. I’d like to Next try a 4wd kit buggy maybr . Thanks for watching buddy 😊👍 tires still in the wrap 😂👍
@@rc-dom-uk Ah cool fella, will be looking forward to seeing what delightful spring time footage you create with this one. The superstock series of motors are 23 turn- they are right on the edge of what the stock Tamiya TBLE series ESC'S can handle, but I've always found them a good match. I run them in my monster beetle, TT02, some of my CWO1's and my Top force - all with TBLE-02 ESC'S. I've yet to have any overheating or thermal cut outs whatsoever! Regarding the 4wd Kyosho buggy's, I'm with you 100% there matey! I'm sooo tempted by some of their legendary series, question is- Which do you go for? Spoilt for choice eh? Currently run out of money, and fast running out of space.... so could be a while before this happens! 😉 👍 👍 👍 👍
@@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC thanks mate. I’ll check those motors out . Sounds good. Yup I’m out of Space atm . Think i Need to sort thst issue out and buy some shelving 😂👍
These kits are so nice, I found the Turbo Optima easier than this one (same as the Turbo Scorpion) but know all my mistakes now lol. I am a bit disappointed they are built as I really fancy building another. So enjoyable.
@@DustyFingersRC 😂👍easy done . The front steering on These buggy is abit weird . And no one seems to be exactly sure what the correct stance is. I come to the conclusion if it works it’s fine 😂👍
This is going to be a great build with lots of nice metal parts. Are you going for box art or a custom paint finish? I suppose the yellow wheels might influence your decision.
Thanks buddy. I think as of today im going box art . I did think of doing it like my Blitzer beetle though . Not sure. Gonna be April I expect before I get painting weather anyway . Might get another body perhaps . It’s very customisable this body i think 👍
Not sure. I usually stick to box art tbh . Then sometimes purchase a new body if an idea arrives. I stuck with the box art for the tomahawk and slightly changed the turbo scorpion.
Hiya Dom. Just having a nosey at what you are up to and this caught my eye. These are such lovely kits and they run really well once complete. Love my Turbo Scorpion and this is mostly the same from what I can see. Those back tyres look like they will be more grippy in the mud and sand than the ones on the Turbo scorpion. Great stuff. Have you started it yet?
Hi mate. Not started it as I’m waiting on better weather for painting . Drive me mad having a finished chassis but not body . I love these Kyosho builds . I have the tomahawk and turbo scorpion and yes you are right . It’s essentially the same gig. I think this beetle will be worth getting an extra body to customise as it fits the Tomahawk wheels which are rather lovely 👍 thanks for watching mate😊👍
@@rc-dom-uk Oh yeah I remember now that you have already got those other buggies. This one does seem to be quite a practical basher with that lexan shell. I always thought that the Sand Scorcher looks the best but in terms of performance and durability this one wins hands down!
@@PeteWylieRC yeah and it’s quite a strange looking beetle really when you actually look at it. No idea why they felt the need to license the body 🤷♂️
Great unboxing Dom. I really like that they still use blister packages to highlight the value parts.
Cheers Dirk, yeah they are lovely kits 😊👍
Awesome kit Dom I love mine really a fun driver
That’s good to hear as I’ve been after this kit for a long time and it’s always oos. Cheers bud 😊👍

Thanks Jeremy. Yeah they are beautiful things . No worries mate . I certainly don’t expect anyone to watch all my videos 😊👍
Wow Dom! Looks amazing dude! I have got to get me some of these Kyosho kits in 2023! Enjoy the build fella. It is going to look cool in the sand 😎🔥
