You are the FIRST I have heard mention consignment. I find a lot of nice stuff that is under my eBay price minimum (~ $20) but still a decent return. As long as the price is right, I'll pick it up and turn it over to consignment. You can make hundreds of $$ per month moving such tail items through consignment. I take them clean items, they do the rest. Yes, they take 50% of the price they sell it for as their cut. But if I can give them 10 outdoor shirts (Columbia and similar) that I paid $2 each for, I'lll get $10 per shirt for them. So thats a quick $80 profit. A lot of my Goodwill bin items go consignment. I cherry pick the very best that I sell myself, give them the rest. It's also a way to reduce your workload. No writing ads, no taking pictures, no packing and shipping.
Wool can be washed in warm water too, just not agitated. I wash all my handmade wool garments by hand in warm water with Eucalan and never had a problem as long as the piece is not exposed to running water or agitated in any way. Also wrapping the piece in a towel afterwards (rather than wringing it out) can help speed up the drying process. Great video thank you!
don't shake the water or the garment while the garment is wet or immersed in water. Agitate the water with a hand to create foam/bubbles before you put the garment in. @@themoorishwarrior1606
Vintage Coogi beanies are 100% STR with many prices in the $50+ range. I know this because I left one behind recently and looked it up later and kicked myself. Looks to still be holding true. Also, worth knowing your 90s vintage skateboard brand logos (Spitfire, Independent, Shorty's, World Industries, New Deal, Plan B, Stereo, Alien Workshop, H-Street, etc) because there's always someone looking for those in beanie form
beanies are handy all year round if you have long hair... the longer ones also work as the most effective sleep mask ever as they don't slip off like all the purpose built ones do
Ooohh great info thank you!! Just got a new Michael Kors beanie from my daughter that she never wore and I was like ehhh we can try and sell it bc it’s cute! And it was so easy to photograph now seeing this going to look for more beanies now!
I love wearing beanies and my favorite ones are cashmere and alpaca. Alpaca is good for people with allergies as the wool doesn't contain lanolin (cashmere and sheep's wool do). I get eczema on the sides of my face and alpaca is usually the least itchy for me to wear. Cashmere can be okay too though. It depends on the size of the knit they use.
You can 100% Carol 👍 knowledge is power 💪keep learning new brands watching vids . You'll make mistakes along the way i still do ive been doing it 5 years you will always learn every day Best wishes go and smash it ☺
I wear a lot of thrifted clothes. For some reason beanies are a line I won't cross. It just makes my skin crawl to imagine putting one on my head that someone else wore, even if i wash it. Nope that's one dusty old hat that I won't F with. Sell them, however, sure.
TAL, how is WWI and WWII militaria doing on eBay? I tried gleaning the real prices from dozens of eBay posts to no avail, thought you would have a good perspective on this. Cheers.

Where do you take items for consignment?
whats the name of the store you go to?
On average How long does it take the consignment shop to sell your 10 shirts usually
I love selling winter accessories. People lose them a lot, they aren’t size specific, and they are easy to ship. Also people love to gift them.
You have been killing it lately man with these informative super fun videos. Great information. Keep them coming!
Arcteryx is pronounced like ark-terix and is very popular in Canada. If you find the hat with the dino skeleton definitely pick it up!

I love your attention to detail - thanks for taking us along on your research journey!
Thanks 🤩 This is super helpful as I live in a 4-season area of the country and it's getting chilly 🥶

Very very helpful. Thank you! This is why I love watching your channel.
You've broadened my horizons😮

lined beanies are a good option. Wool irritates my skin too, but if its lined with cotton fleece you get the best of both worlds.
Nice video Matt, good topic.
Apropos of your last video, I found a counterfit Rapha jersey today in a Goodwill in CA. Be careful out there folks.
'big special person . . .' love! - oh, and ty for the micro lesson on brick and mortar, very helpful -- ty!
RL Country RRL RL Purple label is great labels to look out for . Carhartt is a resellers best friend :) Superb vid as always Matt 👍
Plus if you wash wool it's easier to double check for moth damage.
Thanks for doing this. You are inspiring me to believe I can do this.

Came across a good beanie brand recently- Bula. Some of the sold comps are around $50.
Love finding them at the Bins!
I’ve been buying them , not selling yet …. Hopefully soon …….
I enjoyed your comment about people who wear Gucci. They really do see themselves as superior. I think they are suckers.

A couple years ago there was a big issue with fake Canadian goose on Amazon
I don't think I've ever seen them at our local thrift stores in TX
Very true. I'm in Texas and never see them.
''nee-sh'' I would say... cause I'm french.
