If the maintenance of an EV is less than an ICE vehicle, perhaps he can explain why a replacement EV battery costs anywhere from 15K to 60K every 8 to 10 years.

The 12V battery in my hybrid lasted 12 yrs because it doesn't crank the engine. No EV could possibly cost less than it has in 13 yrs. One $300 Tesla door handle would be more.

I wish these people would talk about the longevity of the batteries and the cost to replace them.
Also that over time they take less and less of a charge and the total miles available dwindle with the battery capacity. The only thing green about EV'S is the kick backs this mole gets.

The vast vast majority of EV batteries never need to be replaced in the lifetime of the car. Those who do need to be replaced are those rare cases where the battery has a defect but most EV batteries have an 8 year warranty.

The faa computer system failed he did nothing in fact the infrastructure bill 15 billion dollars were allocated to upgrade thier computer system, almost 3 years late NOTHING has been done. Passengers will never see a dollar of the $35 million fine.
No, they will see the other $90m of the fine which the airline is required to distribute to passengers as an extra $75 payment on refunds for cancelled/delayed flights. So three quarters of the fine is designed to go to passengers not the government. It’s a smart and fair way of holding the airline accountable.
Until they increase the price to recuperate their losses.

EV's are no good for long trips. It takes three times to make a long trip via EV than the good old-fashioned fossil fuel burner because of all the wait time charging them in between the short-range distances they are able to make before yet another recharge has to happen.
How many other people will need their cars charged at the same place at the same time ? Fights will result, how much will they charge for that electricity, will there be enough power in that area
Their plan is to limit rapid and long distance deployment of militias or families seeking refuge
@@aaa7189 There are already videos on this and I believe that there is an average waiting time of two hours, in areas that have charging stations, before you can even pull up to start the charging process. Joy abounds for a family who is on vacation for a week and spends 60% or more of that time at the charging station. Better get a lot of games to play in the back seat while the kids drive you crazy.
The cost of electricity will increase exponentially and as time goes on who can't help themselves from price gouging when your charging station is the only one in 50 miles. Making life better, is the Bidenomics way (sourcasm)

I called them for my granny and when a person finally answered after 20 minutes they told me that I had to make an appointment to ask any questions. I said, “you can’t answer my question?” He said “no, the process is going to take about a week and we’ll call you back on your appointment day and time, then you can ask your question.” Government. Thanks a lot.

Predicting the future is always tricky. I remember back in the 1970s they said there would not be any gasoline vehicles by 2000.

Even the environmental argument for EVs doesn't hold up. Before an EV even makes it to a dealer, its manufacturing process (mostly due to the battery) has emitted more carbon into the atmosphere than the fabrication of, and 10 years of exhaust from a conventional vehicle. Combine that with the fact that the vast majority of EVs are charged with electricity from coal plants, the battery only lasting around 10 - 15 years, and there not being a good plan for the disposal of all those highly toxic batteries... Anyone who is serious about protecting the environment should be fighting these things, not mandating them.
E.V.'s aren't about the environment/climate. It's about forcing Americans to adopt something they don't want to.

Well the $10,000-$15,000 you have to pay to replace the battery just about makes up for what you saved in regular maintenance of an ICE vehicle. The government shouldn't be pushing for any type of vehicle; let the market decide what's best.

How about the Hyundai EV that hit a rock on the road, damaged (big scratch) the cover to the battery, the dealer and insurance company decided to total it because they claimed the battery required replacement. The cost of replacement battery was quoted at $60,000, unsubsidized. The subsidized Hyundai was purchased months before for $56k. Total insanity. No more subsidizing private vehicle sales, hey Pete?
The costs of a EV that they never talk about. Increased tire wear. Higher insurance. Higher repair. No infrastructure. Etc.
Consumers do not want electric vehicles. People have discovered they are not prectical and the range of an EV is about 150 miles and it drops off quickly.

And how about motor technolgy that doesn't rely on rare earth minerals? And while you're at it, how about making battery chargers more accessable?
