omg, you are about to go down this rabbit hole. Blackpink , if someone hasn't told you, is the biggest girl group on this planet. 1stly if you want to know what they are saying , turn on the captions as all their music videos (denoted as M/V) have English captions. Their music is on another level, so hardcore for K-pop. K-pop m/v are so well produced that they are on another level to the rest of the world.

True, many of their choreos are not overly difficult but are still physically demanding, especially when singing/rapping. Their choreography is designed to be accessible to fans, they learn the choreo and post them online or have "Dance Challenges", it's part of the K-Pop world. After you watch the HOW YOU LIKE THAT music video check out the HOW YOU LIKE THAT DANCE PERFORMANCE, in which the group performs the entire choreo (it actually has more views than the music video, but watch it afterwards, you might want to react to them together idk)
For all BlackPink M/Vs you can turn on the CC to get the English sub-titles. Their lyrics are fire as well. Most of their early stuff is mixture of Korean and English so the CCs are helpful. Many of their newer songs are all English...nevertheless the CC can be helpful. Of course it's not always easy to follow the closed captions with the beauty that is BlackPink is on-screen!

yes that what makes BP different from other GG, generally for kpop group there are only one or two or three of the group who are charming but in Blackpink, all of them shines equally and brightly

Yeah BP snuck up on me too, and then like i learned they were legit the biggest girl group in the world its insane like headlining various shows n festivals, all the records they’ve made and broken and the standards they’ve set like its insane. BP really defined the concept of “girl crush” in a way no other group had done before and all of their MVs just leave you sitting in shock

you should react to other K-pop groups next! I recommend BTS! some song recommendations from them are black swan, mic drop, fake love, and blood sweat & tears. all of their music has really deep meanings so you would definitely want to use captains to capture everything being said. for example, black swan is about their fear of ever loosing their passion for music, and it is based on a quote by Martha Graham which states, “A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and the first one is more painful.” right now, they are on a hiatus because of the Korean mandatory military service, but they will all be back in 2025 as a group again. and before they all went to the military they did some solo songs. if you would like to check out their solo songs here are my recommendations:

Nice. Blackpink is awesome. Glad it caught ya and surprised you. The first time you said you liked the girls voice it was Rosè…her voice is angelic. The second time you commented with the short pink hair I think you thought it was the same girl but that was Jisoo…also a great voice.

K-Pop is a deep deep rabbit hole. BlackPink is something special. If you get to know the girls it just gets better... They are the most followed artists on UA-cam for a reason and the biggest girl groups in the world, so yeah, there are good things waiting for you from them. They are a good entry to K-Pop... but there are many others too you will like. Aespa, Stray Kids (do gods menu first), red velvet, le sserafim, New Jeans, Babymonster, twice, Baby metal, and many more. I will also suggest looking into XG. Not really K-pop since they are all Japanese but based in Korea and they call there music world music, but let's be real here. It's K-Pop and it's good. Enjoy the journey :)
My mentions here are just a few. The list is super long. Individual solos and many more groups. But you will get there step by step. If you enjoyed BlackPink, you have good things waiting with many styles and sounds (K-Pop is not just one thing, as I'm sure you will find out down the road)

The one thing that you will notice about K-pop is that it is a full package when it comes to entertainment. The dancing is a part of the whole experience and to do it while singing even though it is simple is not something that you can just do. They train for years before debuting as a soloist or group in singing, dancing, rapping, language lessons. and some of them even acting. BLACKPINK is no exception. They trained for around 5 years before they debuted in 2016 and right now their UA-cam channel has over 93 Million subscribers and they have 6 videos that are over the 1 Billion views. It is well deserved and I hope that they have continued success since they haven't renewed their individual contracts with the agency that owns the rights to the BLACKPINK name. They still have signed a contract to do group activities as BLACKPINK but the agency is known to not really promote them like they should or give them a lot of songs to put out for an album.
While not exactly K-pop, the other group that you shold llok into is XG. It is an all Japanese member group that trained in the Sourh Korean K-pop industry. They are another group I think that will amaze you with their music. Their singles are done in English so no need for subtitles when watching their music videoes. They have a lot of old school vibes from 90;s to 2K R&B but they also have hard hitting tracks.
Annother group I would look out for is BABYMONSTER whixh is under the same agency as BLACKPINK. The group is new and just debuted but the girls in this has amazing vocals. The group members are young. Their age ranges are from 14 - 21 but most of them are still 18 or under. You would think that with their ages it would be more bubblegum pop type of music but they are the younger sister group to BLACKPINK so they are more toward that Hip Hop type of music. But with their vocals they could do a wide variety of music genres so everyone is looking forward to what they are going to do in the future.

Welcome to the world of K pop, Blackpink is my ultimate group, when it comes to the female k pop group they rank 1 in my top list, they simply also my gateway to the world of k POP, you will see a lot of them still, hope you find the journey as exciting and interesting as mine, let me suggest you go try react to their next song called PINK VENOM the MV as well, if your already love this duddudu, which is among my bottom list when it comes to their discrography you will like even some of their other song as well

dont take it the wrong way i hope, its just my personal opinion and taste, music amd beat are subjective depending who listens, if you ask me, i did tried, dududu is not a bad song let alone the mv itself, it just fails to grow on me overtime, there are some songs that i didnt like at first but eventually grows on me, e.g. their song pink venom and as if its your last are among the songs, that grew on me the more i watched and listen to them
By the way this just may helps up in your journey with the k pop world as you discover not just new music, but even groups as well, in the span of 4 years i lsiten to them, i had actively following 14 girl groups in k pop as of the moment, i had rank them each depending on a lot of aspect i personally created for myself in looking for a criteria for them, HERE are some of my own criteria, 1. is BEAT AND MUSIC, essentially it has to have a potential to be on my playlist, as i enjoy listening to music, it is in any case our main point why we follow them, 2. is VISUALS, beautiful grils that some of them can be top models as well, i do like their fashion and mvs aesthetics as well, great production of MV is among the VISUALS criteria, and 3 lastly is DANCE CHOREO, this may help also aas to mine there are some songs that grew on me because of this criteria, one example i can give is the song of DREAMCATCHER Called ODD EYE, this one enttirely grow on me because of me binge watching its live performance and k POP live performance are worthy of a mv Iitself, the way they produce them is also excellent, well that was too much of a words for you to read, again PINK VENOM OF Blackpink i highly recommentd it

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Like the synchronicity. Pause as much as u need. We don't mind. Happy u like the song. 1st rapper was my gal Jennie. 2nd rapper was Lisa. Vocals were Rose red hair here. And last is Jisoo. She the oldest in the group. The pink haired gal was Jisoo wearing a wig. =0p All members have solo songs too. Hope u check them out. After BTS i got into this group. I like a lot of their songs. They don't write much but they can edit a song. They write i think more for their solo work. Stray Kids uses rock more. But a lot of rock fans actually fall into BTS music. Boracity magazine channel did a vid on this. It's really interesting. Hope u give it a watch. BTS likes all types of music and mixes it into their sound. They don't have too many rock songs but they have a few. I love all their songs. The production is chef's kiss for me. I like some rock, metal, etc. and i listen to these groups so maybe check them out too in the future Enhypen, TXT, &Team, Shinee, Taemin(of Shinee, solo), Twice, Itsy, Kard, Le SSERAFIM, New Jeans, IU(solo), Jackson Wang(solo), DPR Ian(solo), etc. The girls can dance and sing at the same time like all the other groups and solo artists. Kpop is not a genre actually, it's an industry because groups can choose whatever genre they want. I know you can listen to like one or two songs from a singer or group and get the gist of their sound but with BTS, their discography is so varied that you need to listen to a variety of the music to get who they are.

"I’m a little careful to talk about K-pop as a genre, because I don’t want to be defining Kpop as a genre. I’m a little bit wary of that, but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content.'
