    This was super helpful and informative! Thank you. I have never gone to PT before and have been experiencing knee pain. I would have showed up to my appt completely unprepared.

    You can spend a fortune going through P. T., the orthopedic, or you can study the Tarahumara and mimic their humble, no frills ultra distance running style. That's what I do and been running for 35 years, thankfully, injury free. I'm 50 yo still clocking 7 minute miles. Actually, didn't even realize i was running like the Tarahumara without even knowing. I'm here, because my teenage daughter doesn't listen to me and has developed runners knee....running too fast and too hard. , but does listen to her coach who doesn't even really run. If you're gonna run, study the Tarahumara. You'll be injury free and have a runner's high. and shoes: look what the Tarahumara use. I've been running on the same shoes now for 7 years...no injuries....trail running all the time.

      @@katpunkyfish trail running shoes or the tarahumara type sandals? I use the cheap new balance trail runner shoes...you can get them at shoe carnival: Men's New Balance MT410 Trail Running Shoes. going out for a 7 mile run right now.

      @@alssupersadgarden I was wondering about the tarahumara ones.

    • @alssupersadgarden
      @alssupersadgarden 3 роки тому

      @@katpunkyfish you can google or amazon search the 'tarahumara sandal' and there are some very similar ones available. If you are having any injury problems, search youtube for 'japanese slow jogging'. Do that type of jogging barefoot or with your socks until your injury heals. i wish you happy running. : )

    Hey guys, just started running again after years of not exercising. Been back in the game for about 3 months and I'm doing about 2.5-3 miles 6 days a week and just started getting horrible knee pain. I went to a local running shoe store (Fleet Feet) and they took a scan of my feet, they are horrifically flat. The lady actually asked if I had broken my right foot because it was so flat (I haven't). I believe my form is pretty good as I watched a lot of your videos on form when I first started back running. They sold me some insoles and also it turns out my shoes were about a full size too big, so I have ordered some in the right size (Saucony Liberty Iso). Do you guys think I'm on the right track?

      Def! It always pays to make sure you're running in proper equipment. I would also recommend checking some of our knee videos out, make sure you're dotting all the I's and crossing the T's in mobilizing and strength training.
