I’ve been on this planet for 17 years and none of the 20 English classes I’ve taken have explained semi-colons as well as you have.
I was using semicolon wrong throughout my high school
That was so simple. it took me 47 years to learned this in a few seconds 🤦♀️ you are amazing teacher 🙏🏻 (English Second Language) 😉

@@PrepExpert Sir I'm from India and I have my SAT exam next week, could you please tell me how I could get a perfect score.
@@vishrutsharmavlogs2005 one week is not a lot of time to prepare, but if you want a perfect score, I would recommend working with one of our individual tutors on the specific questions you are getting wrong. This assumes that you have already begun practicing on real SAT tests to know your individual weaknesses. Take a look at these tutors, and let me know if you have questions about anyone in particular: prepexpert.com/private-tutoring?id=1&scroll=true
That’s great! Some people speak english their whole lives and never learn this.

Hello. I am a teacher, and since quite a while I have been seeing this problem again and again in my students that though they have read the best SAT Writing books twice, and they can answer most of the questions in book exercises correct, they can't score well in the actual test. What should they do to bridge this gap between books and SAT writing? Would you recommend making notes or cheatsheet?
If you have any advice please let me know.
Superb
nice thanks man
you know this guys smart when he stretches out one sentence to a 10 min video
Please I read this in an SAT writing passage.” One is the birth of a son in 1502; the other is the opening of a new home in 1503. Can I use a colon in place of the semi colon since both clauses are independent? And why?
What if in the options there is a colon and a semicolon, because I have learnt from you that both work for IC:IC
Can you please, answer another question using the semicolon?
Why can't we use an adverb to connect 2 independent clauses?
thaaaaaanks
Pro expert
You mean if it is the same item i should use semicolon because if i used comma it make it more than one item? Did i understand well

I’m taking my SAT tomorrow, top 5 tips for writing section going in?
How did you do
Bruh tell us how did you DO
1. Ignore prepositional phrases
2. Take what the sentences are saying as literally as possible (spoken vs. heard english are two different things)
3. It's okay to have "no change"
4. Simple is better
5. Check out our online courses for more tips ;)
@@PrepExpert lol you commented this 7 months after this dude took the test 😂
Hello 👋 pls I need some assistance in dealing with the writing section and the reading section too ; I need some more tips pls 🙏
Hey Bill, we have several classes starting this week!
Make sure your not walking outside on the wrong side of midnight, you never know when Yandi, The Big Bad Wolf, and the Mailman are creeping
What does the - mean
Can you make a video about rules of comma??
Here you go! ua-cam.com/video/tBGS1DHZzVo/v-deo.html Please note that commas and clauses are very closely connected. A comma can separate an independent clause from a dependent clause, but without a coordinating conjunction, a comma cannot separate two independent clauses.
Once every few 100 years or so..that's good me rolling 😂
For some bizarre, but funny reason, this came to my mind:
Has anyone ever seriously thought about the character, "semi-colon" since "semi" means half, or 50%? _Seriously._ *Why* is it called a "semi-colon" ["half-colon"] anyway? The bottom 'comma' portion clearly uses more space than the the upper, 'colon' [plus SPACE] part therefore *it's MORE than just 'semi' [half]* ? Shouldn't it be more accurate to call it a "comma plus dot," or, a "dotted comma" like we say, "dotted 'i'?"
One of the best teachers ever here on UA-cam. so thankful 🌹
Simple. Nice.
Sure is!

This sexy grammarian has changed my life in 9:41.
How do I replace the "to be"/"be" verbs with strong verbs in the following
paragraph?
The British ocean liner Titanic was a large ship that thought to be unsinkable.
The Titanic made its first in 1912. It was scheduled to sail from England to New
York The ship was about 1,600 miles from New York when it collided with an iceberg
in the North Atlantic. This collision caused a gash 300 feet long in the ship's hull.
It took two hours and forty minutes for the Titanic to sink. The worst part was that
there were not enough lifeboats for everyone. Tragically, about 1,400 people died
that night. Due to many lives lost, the sinking of the Titanic is considered to be the
deadliest peacetime, maritime disaster in modern history. The Titanic has undoubtedly
become one of the most famous ships in history. Their memory is kept alive by numerous
books, folk songs, movies, exhibits, and memorials.
Your typing was like😅
