Yeah they really out did themselves with her this time.They did use her song too but It was slowed down alot but gave more of an impact that way imo.She was always a force for good and they truly showed how badass she can be as well. She was fully ready to just drop the hammer on Ghidorah, never mind the danger to herself. That my friends is why Mothra is the Queen of the Monsters

Motha epitomizes the notion of being a Queen. Kind and benevolent but lethal and threatening if needed. When Ghidora is on the ground, she certainly is intent to use her sharp legs to one shot all the heads.
This version is cute, but imo the old Mothra's voice is way cuter. Plus, the old Mothra is so fluffy and cute, while this version is badass and awesome

This film will never not be underrated. Ghidora's depiction as hellish, satanic and apocalyptic was rivalled only by Mothra's depiction as an angelic redemptive saviour.
He is the main one featured in this movie without wings, (Scylla, Behemoth, MUTO, etc are all featured but in minor roles, none have wings) but let me assure you, fighting winged opponents or ground ones, he generally wins. He can't be bullied. (Sometimes unfortunately. He really needs a reality check.)

@Cristina Banuelos There's no romantic scene amongst Kaiju in any of the scenes. I mean, there was one where Mothra died protecting Godzilla, but not one single part of them being alone and not on each other's throats.
Mothra doesn't fear death, per the KOTM official twitter and director. She represents life, death and rebirth and she knows it. She sacrifices herself knowing that as long as life exists, she will too. She has infinite respawns. She can afford to end her 20th life and starting her 21st a bit early.

I loved Mothra ever since Childhood. I would be sad whenever she died, and her death scene in this movie made me breakdown into tears in the theater. Zilla is the name of the American monster that Toho literally bought the rights to and rebranded, just to have the real Godzilla murder onscreen. They went with the name Zilla because that movie took the "God" out of Godzilla.
At one moment, Rodan tries to attack Ghidora, but they beated the shit out of him. Then he picks a fight with Mothra, but he didn't realize she's strong as fuck and gets stabbed. And after everyone watched Godzilla disintegrate Ghidora, Rodan appears and bows to him. Rodan is the Starscream of this universe.
He was fighting mothra because Ghidorah told him too. He lost to Ghidorah and therefore had to do whatever Ghidorah wanted. I'm sure he would have rather not had to fight mothra if he had the choice.

She didn't even want to fight Rodan. Rodan was just in the way of her helping Godzilla so she had to deal with him. Also, Rodan was stabbed in a non-lethal spot and was most likely paralyzed until the end. The way he screamed when he fell made me think he was dead 😂 he was so dramatic.

I grew up watching the older Godzilla films on VHS. Hearing Mothra’s original theme revamped in the film made me cry like a baby in the movie theatre. She’s a beauty!
Mothra having a stinger and sharp mobile legs add so much to her previous character design. Yeah she was a hurricane-like force of nature before hand in the Toho movies but now she’s an ARMED hurricane-like force of nature.
I’ll never forget the first time I saw Mothra spread her wings at the water fall, or when she appeared as a bright light in the sky like an angel. Truly beautiful and badass at the same time.

I'm a mothra fanboy, always have been, the guys at work who have only known THIS Mothra dont understand and jokingly make fun of her and me, it's all good fun but it was sad to me that Mothra in this one was more of a symbolic character, and I feel they left out quite alot of her power. I mean she only has the stinger, silk, and beautiful god Ray's, when in the past she has had powers like energy beams she can fire from her antennae, acidic silk, stingers she can fire rapidly, incredible strength, high enough to pick up godzilla like a rag doll, the ability to deflect energy attacks like Ghidorahs lightning back at her enemies using mirror like scales from her wings, a suicide attack that is absolutely devastating, reincarnation making truly immortal in a sense, and each time she reincarnated, she comes back stronger and bigger than before. She also can fly at mach 7 like rodan, create gale force winds that can lvl cities like rodan. In other words she should have been able to easily fight rodan off, especially since they left out FIRE RODANS most devastating ability, his Uranium heat Ray's. Still, I will say that Legendary did truly honor her appearance and sound effects, easily the most crisp, most beautiful mothra, and I very much like the minor modifications they did with her legs
i have a theory that every time she gets reborn she has a new skill set which usually makes her stronger. the skills consist of her taking on a new form every time she is reborn (rebirth of moths forms too) but i would like that she can only have one power every lifetime
This was more an introduction to her. I was happy enough to see the God Rays plus they've already teased another egg in the end credits. If she gets her own film (which is probably likely due to the hugely positive reception of her in KOTM), then we'll probably see more of her and what she can do.

It's been stated that Mothra expected there to be twins singing to her when she hatched, and that she was angered when the containment field killed the insects that flocked to her.
Given that lights exploded with a flash of her bioluminescense, it can be assumed that she knowingly and consciously shut down the containment field herself.
And yet, she never killed anyone, just webbed them up.
Though, whether or not the giant spiders around killed anyone is up for debate.

Mothra doesn't fear death, per the KOTM official twitter and director. She represents life, death and rebirth and she knows it. She sacrifices herself knowing that as long as life exists, she will too.

And after everyone watched Godzilla disintegrate Ghidora, Rodan appears and bows to him. Rodan is the Starscream of this universe.

I honestly can't choose a favorite scene of Mothra in the new King of the Monsters, she's an angel in every single one, even in the beginning with her as a larvae with the terrible misunderstanding before the ORCA was used. It still breaks my heart to see her die when she made that blood curdling and high pitched scream when she accepted her fate, but in the end it's always worth it because she's immortal and always bounces back, she may live multiple lives but there will always and forever be only 1 Mothra, also because she possesses the single greatest power that anyone could ever have, the power to sacrifice yourself for someone or something you love. She didn't even want to fight Rodan. Rodan was just in the way of her helping Godzilla so she had to deal with him. Also, Rodan was stabbed in a non-lethal spot and was most likely paralyzed until the end. The way he screamed when he fell made me think he was dead 😂 he was so dramatic.

I grew up watching the older Godzilla films on VHS. Hearing Mothra’s original theme revamped in the film made me cry like a baby in the movie theatre. She’s a beauty!
Mothra having a stinger and sharp mobile legs add so much to her previous character design. Yeah she was a hurricane-like force of nature before hand in the Toho movies but now she’s an ARMED hurricane-like force of nature.

My brother was obsessed with Godzilla as a kid (and still is today), so he introduced me to Mothra. We had quite a few Mothra movies, so naturally, I became OBSESSED with her as a kid! I was so happy to see her in this movie, even if it was only for a little bit

Big props to the team that portrayed Mosura's sounds and looks so feminime and beautiful.
I'm a mothra fanboy, always have been, the guys at work who have only known THIS Mothra dont understand and jokingly make fun of her and me, it's all good fun but it was sad to me that Mothra in this one was more of a symbolic character, and I feel they left out quite alot of her power. I mean she only has the stinger, silk, and beautiful god Ray's, when in the past she has had powers like energy beams she can fire from her antennae, acidic silk, stingers she can fire rapidly, incredible strength, high enough to pick up godzilla like a rag doll, the ability to deflect energy attacks like Ghidorahs lightning back at her enemies using mirror like scales from her wings, a suicide attack that is absolutely devastating, reincarnation making truly immortal in a sense, and each time she reincarnated, she comes back stronger and bigger than before. She also can fly at mach 7 like rodan, create gale force winds that can lvl cities like rodan. In other words she should have been able to easily fight rodan off, especially since they left out FIRE RODANS most devastating ability, his Uranium heat Ray's. Still, I will say that Legendary did truly honor her appearance and sound effects, easily the most crisp, most beautiful mothra, and I very much like the minor modifications they did with her legs
i have a theory that every time she gets reborn she has a new skill set which usually makes her stronger. the skills consist of her taking on a new form every time she is reborn (rebirth of moths forms too) but i would like that she can only have one power every lifetime

This was more an introduction to her. I was happy enough to see the God Rays plus they've already teased another egg in the end credits. If she gets her own film (which is probably likely due to the hugely positive reception of her in KOTM), then we'll probably see more of her and what she can do.
