In this video it's early Winter but it was a beautiful day with just a slight breeze. We will pass some beach bars and the Steel Pier as well as shops and restaurants including some of my favorite salt water taffy joints! What hotel did you stay at?

A.C.Philly's playground.My family is from A.C.Pleasantville.I remember crabbing off low bridges with cages with my cousins back in the 70's, back when it was safer for kids to be out after dark-BTW.We can make it to A.C. In Under an hour.It takes 90minutes from Philly to New York-

Well, that was awesome! I have never been to Atlantic City, nor have I ever been on the Atlantic coast, although I have flown over it on the way to Europe. I have seen a few photos of AC in the past, and seen the Miss America pageant on TV, but seeing the boardwalk, the famous landmark boardwalk, was interesting. I can only imagine what it is like on a busy Summer day, and even imagine what it was like a century or so ago when there was no air-conditioning, cars, or television. I hope your feet have had enough time to rest up before your next adventure. Thanks!

Great video! Used to frequent AC growing up in the 90s and always had a soft spot for the city and boardwalk. Got to visit this past summer for the first time since 2013 and it was awesome! Yeah AC right now may not be at its former glory but it's still a fun place to visit with a lot to see and do and it was pretty busy this past summer especially with everything opening back up post-2020. Felt like old times.

This is a nice walkthrough of the Atlantic City boardwalk. Have you considered checking out the Wildwood boardwalk? There's a lot of attractions and activity along that boardwalk and tramcars to dodge during the peak summer season.

I GREW UP IN ATLANTIC CITY I WAS THERE LONG BEFORE THERE WERE ANY CASINOS, BUT THEY HAD THE BOARDWALK AND ALL THE SHOPS, THEY HAD TO STEAL PIER THE STEEPLECHASE PIER, THE FAMOUS DIVING HORSE. I LIVED AT OHIO AND MCKINLEY AVENUE ON MCKINLEY STREET, MY MOTHER AND HER FAMILY CAME FROM BARBADOS AND GOT OFF THE SHIP IN ATLANTIC CITY THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE IN NEW YORK BUT THEY STAYED, MY UNCLE HAD HIS OWN TRASH TRUCK AND HAD CONTRACTS WITH DIFFERENT BUSINESSES, ONE OF THEM WAS THE FACTORY OF FRILLINGERS SALTWATER TAFFY SOMETIMES THEY WOULD THROW AWAY BOXES OF GOOD TAFFY ALL KINDS I GUESS YOU KNOW WHAT WE DID WITH THAT, I WAS A YOUNG BOY BUT I REMEMBER WE WOULD GO TO THE DUMP YOU NEVER SEEN SO MANY SEAGULLS IN YOUR LIFE THEY WOULD FOLLOW THE TRUCK ALL THE WAY TO THE DUMP BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THEY WOULD EAT. I've never heard of your channel, but this video came up in my feed. Starting around 14:54, you walked right by the old historic Dennis Hotel, and didn't even mention it. I was surprised. You also walked by the old historic Claridge without mentioning it. Regarding salt water taffy flavors, "There are at least 24, or perhaps even two dozen." 24 is two dozen, lol. I have walked the boardwalk and taken many pictures, but there are things in your video that I completely missed. I enjoy the video. Thanks.

Cool vid. The boardwalk was packed this summer even with Covid. It looks so different in the winter. Are the bars and restaurants inside the casinos open? When I was there this past August, you had to eat/drink outside or in your room. If the bars and restaurants are open, I'm there for the implosion!
Thanks for watching Spunky B! During my last visit a few weeks ago everything was open with limited capacity. However I don't think you can just walk up to a bar and order a drink, your drinks need to be served to you at a table or in the casino. I would check closer to the time of your visit since it's hard to keep up with the ever-changing rules these days! By the way, if you visit the community tab on this channel, you'll see that the implosion has been put of until February for safety reasons. No date or time given yet. Stay tuned!

New York is between 2.5 and 3 hrs north.
You can easily get a comp room at the Ocean Casino Resort. Just get a card and play some games/slot. Comp rooms are for sun-thurs only (for me at least). Otherwise, room rates are low during off peaks months (like $50 - $60 a night).

Are there any books on Atlantic City In the 70's we went there on our family vacations we stayed on the boardwalk motels The Beachfront and then The Lincoln and Roosevelt also there was a hospital at the end wherein the evening they would bring them out on gurneys and wheelchairs any information I would appreciate!

Atlantic City has a lot of potential to shine, but they can't seem to plan it right. I think they should have placed all those outlet shops with some nice restaurants along the boardwalk and gotten rid of those cheap T-shirt shops, psychic stores, etc. It would have encouraged more foot traffic in front of the casino entrances. Building the outlet shops behind the casinos wasn't smart, in my opinion. Atlantic City has the beach, put the focus there, make it nice. Vegas does a great job incorporating shopping stores/malls and casino entrances along the Strip where all the foot traffic is located.

Can someone please give me a for walking distance from Tropicana to Ocean casino do you guys think it’s like a 20 minute walk i’m asking a question just to see if my mom can handle the walk
Its 2 miles. About half an hour depending on how fast you walk. Check out today's video at noon (NYC time). I walk along the beach fron Ocean to Tropicana. (Walking the beach however is a little more strenuous than walking the boatdwalk!)

Best hotel to stay at in AC?
I've been asked that so many times and its a very hard question to answer Lori. It really depends on what your looking for. Boardwalk or Marina? Restaurants and bars or casino? Shopping or entertainment? Is a pool important or location more so? Each hotel is unique and brings something special to the table. Its a question I've asked myself many times but just can't come up with an answer! Thanks for watching and subscribing!

During summer I promise you there’s no room on the boardwalk to walk especially now that u can have open alcohol on the boardwalk

As of right now Jeffrey, there are no marijuana dispensaries in NJ. It has just become legal a few weeks ago in NJ but you won't see any dispensaries for at least another 6 months. Thanks for watching!
