me and my husband just listened to this whole video on the drive down to atlantic city! this was soooo helpful and informative. it was put together perfectly:)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video
This is great thanks for making this.
Great job! Thank you. Great info.
Great effort and well researched content....
Could you use at least ONE old photo?
As for things to see, no mention was made of the Aquarium on Gardner's Basin, the Absecon Lighthouse, or riding the rolling chairs. There is also an outlet shopping area and the events at the new convention center.
The Absecon Lighthouse was mentioned
thank you
The Ritz-Carlton is still there today. It has been converted to condos now. They have a plaque with names of famous people who have stayed there including Nucky Johnson and Al Capone.
Good for curious solo travelers?
I’d say so! You can get at least a good day trip out of it walking through the casinos, Steel Peer, the boardwalk and some museums.
@@MrNewJersey would I last 4 days?
@@travelmanMN It depends on your interests. If you enjoy hanging out on the beach or at casinos for a while, it can last 4 days. Otherwise it might be best to mix in visits to nearby towns as well, such as Cape May (a beautiful victorian town), Margate (to see the Lucy the Elephant building) or Wildwood
thinks for the video. they really need to build the city up
Who've . . . .
Not too interesting, no historical photos at all.....
And . . . for those how've become 'down & out,' there's the Atlantic City Rescue Mission . . . a homeless shelter, behind the Convention Center/Train Station. 🤗🇺🇸
Corruption, greed, antiquated laws and misguided creative direction contributed to Atlantic City's decline. If you take nearby Ocean City, Wildwood, Asbury Park, Seaside, etc., they are wildly popular because of low crime and access to diverse attractions and eateries for all (and not solely gaming). Relax restrictions on alcohol and other vices and clean up the blighted areas and turn attention to experiences (beach concerts, amusement parks, diversify culinary options).

Resorts . . . played up by Merv Griffin ! 🇺🇸
Gambling at the saturation point. Much better when it was East v West with NOTHING in between. Too bad for AC & Vegas, no help in sight,
Las Vegas can be sustained by its name alone, it’s the Mecca of gambling and ppl from all over the world recognize it as such. It also has decent weather year round. AC? Not so much. AC has potential but greed is what killed it. They gambled and thought it would last forever. They’ve lost.
I like learning, but you sound so angry...
Trump casinos led the way in bankruptcies in Atlantic City! He set a record in how to open and crash a casino in record time! He has never found a business he could succeed in! Lol!
RIGHT - THREE CASINOS, THREE BANKRUPTCIES ! 💀🇺🇸
