It’s crazy to think this brand is considered a drugstore brand in the US when here in Europe (or atleast in the Netherlands) it is marketed as a lowkey luxurious brand because they’re only retailed at pretty high end branded stores like Bijenkorf
Guys you don’t have to take his word for everything , pixi’s tonics are the only thing that worked for me and I’ve been struggling to look for a product that doesn’t irritates my pimples
You guys are seriously sleeping on Cerave. They are hands down one of the best skincare brands you can find. Not as a drugstore category, just skincare in general. It’s crazy how I used to discriminate that brand because it is so affordable, now I look at their products on my vanity with so much love lmao.
Airbear !! True! Also I’m afraid to say that perhaps they will never be 100% cruelty free. At the end of the day, they are owned by L’Oreal 🥺! But I can tell you right away that I’d prefer buying a 10$ dollars cleanser by Cerave instead of a Tatcha 40-50$ dollars cleanser, considering that Tatcha is now owned by Unilever and they’re not a cruelty free company
This! I wouldn't class Pixi as a 'drugstore brand' you can just buy them on the high street. The UK equivalent of a drugstore (boots) also stocks Chanel. Does that make Chanel drugstore? 😆
Skincare for dry skin with hormonal acne/teenager acne. Theres alot for oily skin but nothing for the dry skin ppl! And people kinda assume that dry skin=no acne. But it aint truuuuuuuuuu
I used to have acne as a teenager and in my 20s and sahara desert dry skin. First address the acne, with dry skin it seems that all acne is, is a constant infection of your face, since its not oil that clogs pores. For me the only thing that helped was an appointment with my GP and he gave me a 30 day topical antibiotic to wipe out all bacteria for AM use and low percentage benzoylperoxide gel for PM use to exfoliate and further kill bacteria, and I used the Cetaphil moisturizer for my dry angry skin. Now that my acne is wiped out all I have to do to keep up is use a good moisturizer that is non-comedogenic and I use a super gentle face wash and no makeup, this keeps me acne- and dry flakes-free. If you need more help visit the skincare addiction page on reddit, its full of information on skin care ingredients and routines and useful products and people are willing to help. Hope this helps
I have eczema on my body so I have naturally dry skin on my face. I'm 16 and have mild to moderate acne. Personally I can't take rich, oily stuff meant for dry skin and I really hate stickiness because I do my skincare before I sleep (should prolly do it in the morning too lol). My favorite moisturiser is by the brand simple.
I would actually say the opposite, treat your dry skin first! Acne prone skin is usually dehydrated as we throw all these drying lotions at it, use a hydrating cleanser, a good moisturiser and use a hydrating tonic at some stage as well my routine is cerave sa cleanser I use a few of the pixi tonics but I use a HA serum first then my acids/ niacinamide and a good hydrating moisturiser to finish. I still have pimples my skin is not red or tight/ dry anymore. We need to rethink how we work with acne, it’s actually a break in your barrier and drying it out makes your barrier worse causing more dryness and more acne😊
I just bought some too but can't stand the shine. I just pulled out receipt after watching this to see if I can return. I honestly didnt notice the scents and Im usually sensitive to any smell. Its the crazy shine and tacky filmy coating it leaves behind that bothers me. Im also having this weird tingling thing which has to be coming from that too.
As long as it isn’t irritating your skin it’s “okay” but only use one product once or twice a week! I wouldn’t exceed two different ones. Pixi isn’t the best brand and it’s def my guilty pleasure. Use it in moderation don’t waste your money and once you’re done with it you can move on to better things! :)
Hyram oh shit you replied,, thank you for giving us great skincare knowledge and stopping this broke uni student from spending money on overhyped brands!🥺💫
I have never understood the hype Pixi gets. It's fairly expensive and, like you said, they formulate with fragrance. There are so many better alternatives at the drugstore. Side note: the other day I was at Ulta and randomly picked up a moisturizer to look at the ingredients. Guess what the FIRST ingredient was?! FRAGRANCE! I literally just stared at the product dumbfounded for a good 2 minutes and then put it back lol
Summer Powell unfortunately the Glow Tonic is one of the only products that helps “uplift” my ingrown facial hair (long story but basically laser hair removal and the required shaving between sessions made things WORSE for me). I tried the Youth to The People Kombucha toner but it did nothing for me. I only use Glow Tonic every other day (and not on days I wax or the day after), because my actual skin doesn’t need much exfoliation, and I only do it because I’m trying to get the hair situation under control for now. I make sure to moisturize super well. This past week I didn’t use the tonic and I had a bunch of ingrowns. It’s a sad give and take but it’s working for me and I try to stay fragrance free in skincare otherwise.
I think they're popular on UA-cam because they send out PR to people. So those who watch YT think that if everyone is using Pixi, it must be good. When in reality it's just because they send out their products all the time. It's this way with a lot of brands actually, skincare and makeup.
It’s so refreshing to see a skin care UA-camr calling out the excessive use of fragrances in skin care. I have eczema and I used to find it so frustrating when you tubers would try new skin care and asses the scent which has 0 benefit to your skin and is really bad for those of us with sensitive skin.
I'm always tempted by the Pixi display whenever I'm at Target because the packaging is just so cute, but fragrance and I don't really get along so thanks for talking me out of it.
I first started watching skincare videos around the time The Ordinary’s initial launch came out, and everyone was like “wow, this 7% glycolic toner has a higher acid content than Pixi Glow Tonic, but for some reason it’s less irritating.” No kidding!
Is it true it is bad to leave it the Vitamin C Tonic on our face overnight? How often would you say is best to use it , because accdg to Pixi it should be day AND night, but I highly doubt that.. :/ not quite sure how to use this product 😭 Would love your advice!
My dark spots, whiteheads and texture cleared up so much after using the Pixi Glow Tonic. It works differently for different people, and if you’re thinking of trying the glow tonic, please do! It may be your worst or best skincare investment. I tend to stay away from Hyram’s videos because I feel like his opinions are too self centred and he doesn’t include the majority opinions of others.
could u do a vid on the french pharmacy brand La Roche Posay? i feel like France has lot of pharmacy or dermatological brands like Avene, Caudalie, Embryolisse n my holly grail brand- La Roche Posay, their EFFACLAR collection does wonder for my acne prone skin n their products have no fragrance, alcohol, dye, paraben. i like to know ur thoughts on their products, thx💕
I think LRP helped control my adult acne. I switched to consonant (a local brand for a more simple cleanse hydrated and moisturizer routine) so I haven’t used it in a while now but I may get reacquainted with the brand for some treatment products.
Hi I am French and all the brands you listed have fragrance and many of their products have drying alcohol. A very few products are fragrance free, usually it is one moisturiser dependindg on the brand rhe micellar water too. As for Caudalie they have fragrance in all their products except in their cleansing oil. I am allergic ro fragrance have sensitive acne prone skin and live in France that s why I am aware of it. I can t have a full skin care routine with those brands.
No no no they have fragrance watch dr dray and one of her videos talks about Clinique and how awful of a brand it is . I broke out soooo bad with it and I have sensitive to dry skin . It is the worst 😣
@@hellokittyjuicy101 I felt so. Their moisture surge 72 hour moisturizer tingles for wayyyy too long on my skin for it to actually be fragrance free. But because they have so many ingredients, I couldn't go through everything. They probably don't include artificial fragrance like many brands that claim to be fragrance free.
I have sensitive skin and I’m fine with Clinique. In the UK and Europe it's one of if not the biggest selling skincare brand because it is formulated to be allergy free. Literally every product they make is fragrance free and always has been. Over here marketing is a lot stricter for example you cannot advertise mascara with false lashes and digital enhancement unless you declare it on the box. So trust me there is no way they could stamp fragrance free on all their products and the brand as a whole and still have fragrance in there, the EU would sue the hell out of them. If you are breaking out there must be an ingredient in there your skin doesn't like, but none of their products contain fragrance so it cannot be that.
Idk, I've had an exceptionally wonderful experience with all of the pixi products I buy. I only started buying when I saw it at Target. Glow tonic actually helped me a lot with my skin too.
Please do a burt’s bees one I have a love hate relationship with their skin care products and tried to see reviews but there isn’t much information on it
I agree. Some of the products are eczema approved on the nationaleczema.org website. But I'm still hesitant to buy. I get a bad feeling they would irritate my skin.
Dayna Jordan my friend who has sensitive skin tried one of their face masks and it dried the hell out of her face. Like, flakes peeling off. The only product I’d buy from them is their lip balm.
Burt’s Bees now uses canola & soybean oils in everything. After Burt sold the company, it became a shell of what it used to be. He passed away but before he did, he was upset at how they changed things. There’s a documentary about him that used to be on Netflix.
Right?! It just looked cheap, and not in a good way. While CeraVe screams "I'm middle-aged," it never gave off the air that it wasn't EFFECTIVE - like it didn't deserve a target audience that'd need more from it in the first place. Pixi, however? Looks like it's trying to trick preteens and no one else that they are a legit, "grown-up company" - it looks like it's trying to rip you off, and then it has the gall to be on the pricier end of the spectrum in the first place. Hard no, thanks.
god you make me feel so much better about not getting certain products that I've been putting off buying and I put off buying a lot of shit. im broke as hell.
At work the other day, a 21 year old and I (36 years old, only saying to point out your videos help across the board) were talking about The Ordinary and how we love the products---then---at the same time we say "so, there's this guy on youtube I love"...like in sync....and then we pointed at each other, shouted- "skincare by Hyram?!?! Oh my God, yes!!! I love him, he is the best!!!" It was like for a brief moment we were one gushing fan in stereo...you rock, your advice totally changes lives and your fanbase is huge and we love what you're doing! Thank you!!!!!
Same, I’ve never seen anyone really talk about Pixi (admittedly, I don’t really watch too many “Influencers”), and I tried a few products from their line. I like the Glow Tonic and the Milky serum. I also use the Peel and Polish, and really, those three really help my skin.
Amber Dulay excuse me, may I ask how I use the glow tonic? I just got it today and I’m still wondering how to apply it, do I use makeup pads or just my hands? And do I have to rinse it off after putting it on my face or should I just let it sit there? Should I apply it before the make-up or after I removed the make-up? Your skin looks really healthy :D
I love the rose glow mist! It gives my face SO MUCH GLOW and it even gives me some colour. The milk mist is more hydrating than any MOISTURIZER I’ve used and the glow tonic is my everything. But unfortunately I won’t be buying more after I use it all up because it won’t be great for my skin in the long run.
Chemist here. With the Sodium Hydroxide being so high on the ingredient list the scent is probably needed to hide the inhalation irritation people would experience from that much hydroxide. The scent helps to mask it. Sodium Hydroxide is not a beneficial skin care ingredient. For those with sensitive skin like myself I imagine this would just burn.
Do you know if the pixi clarity tonic is good? I’m looking for an exfoliant and I’ve looked at the ingredients and they don’t seem half as bad as the ones he looked at in this video. Although sodium hydroxide is in it, it’s near the bottom
What? Sodium Hydroxide is irritating when inhaled? I have asthma, do you think it can be potentially irritating? Sorry to ask you this here! But now I’m worried🙁
Hii! Just a little note : when they say 'rosemary water' or 'lavender water' in products, this does not mean that essential oils were diluted in water. In the process of extracting the essential oils, there is a lot of condensation happening, and the 'water' is simply the condensation from the process of extraction. Therefore, it's generally much softer for the skin! :)
You guys have to remember that when he breaks it down, ingredient by ingredient, the way people know how it works is due to clinical trials. They are almost never 100%, it is INCREDIBLY rare to find “100% of people who used this saw these same results.” Everyone’s skin is a little different and some things may work for you that don’t for others and vice versa. Your skin also gets acclimated to the products you use so if your routine has been working for you, please think twice about throwing it all away after watching his videos.
Ingredients matters for me "period". I've been robbed by so many hyped cosmetic brands before which only harmed and scarred my skin instead of what they promise 🤮
You're not alone in your confusion about the retinol products! I love mists but this one didn't work for me. Their glow mask is nice on my skin but I remember the first time I talked about it and the price, I was like "this is not an inexpensive mask!" Great review!
My 53 year old self has just tried the Pixi Glow Tonic and it is amazing. I do not smell hardly anything. My skin is not super sensitive though. I only bought the travel size so I'm not committed yet.
Also I think the Pixi Glow Tonic is a fan favorite because Caroline Hirons endorses it and recommends it as an affordable glycolic acid alternative to something like Good Genes, Tarte Knockout, etc.
Exactly. People are unfortunately not aware, that Caroline Hirons, amusing and lovable as she is, doesn't work for the consumer - her clients are skincare companies.
Bree X if you haven’t heard of Caroline Hirons you are not deep into the skincare world. She is a well know UK blogger and skincare “expert”. I say expert loosely because the only person who truly knows their skin is yourself.
It's weird bc the Glow Tonic has improved my skin so much. It's the only product I use that has fragrance in it, so maybe that's why - but for having hormonal acne, it's honestly done me so good.
I have hormonal acne too and it’s so good specially in the night then you wake up with glowy even toned skin and the glycolic acid is not too high in percentage just the right amount to remove scars !
Don't listen to You tubers. On one hand they are slamming one brand's essential oils and in another video hail KBeauty Holy Grail essential oils and fermented fruits Kbeauty is mostly packed with. These videos are pure fun for me. That's it
Eglantine S Yeah, Neutrogena really really mucked up my skin to the point it was constantly peeling and bright red and you could just tell it had been stripped away. As soon as I started using the ordinary my skin cleared up and calmed down, such a good brand and so cheap.
If you think it’s good why stop using it? As far as I know Hyram isn’t a certified dermatologist and his videos are based on opinion. Disappoints me to see so many people like sheep and not have an opinion for themselves
I want to know your thoughts on the brand Caudalie... they’re a “clean” brand but I want to know what you think about their product’s effectiveness. I’ve used a few things by them and have loved them!
Alex Dingess I bought and tried the caudalie SOS thirst quenching serum and it gave my skin an allergic reaction aka small red bumps literally the next day 😞
I honestly love their glycolic acid toner it really helped to clear my skin. Since I stopped using it and tried a different toner my skin hadn’t really looked the same. It has to be said tho that I have quite resilient and acne prone skin
Same it worked for my skin it even helped with my hyperpigmentation since I stopped using it. I see my spots again and the clogged pores again. But it's expensive a small bottle in Canada is $25 a big bottle is 48.00 and the small ones are always out, I was going to try retinol toner but I'm not sure yet.
Carina Paul yeah I think it’s definitely overpriced. I’ve been trying a lot of different products lately and I think I’ll probably look for a glycolic acid toner which isn’t pixi (preferably unscented and not overpriced lol)
I loved the double cleanse, not long ago I actually found it on sale and bought a few, but after I use up the last one I won't repurchase because it contains polyethylene. I recently learned about its harsh affects on the environment, and I'm trying to make small steps towards positive change in the products I use. For anyone interested the Clinique take the day off balm also includes it (another fav of mine, ugh... oh well), but I learned The Body Shop's camomile butter doesn't so I think I'll try that next.
I’m on a journey to bettering myself, this channel is helping me soooo much!!! I’ve started a workout routine, started using environmentally friendly products that are compatible for my curly hair, I’m trying to eat better, and taking the best possible care of my skin based on my knowledge. I just finished my arm workout and I’m currently using this video and an intermittent school before I start my other exercises. Like QUEEN this is a perfect time to start self care. When I go back to school I’m going to feel much more confident. Start self care as soon as you can, I wish I had sooner.
I knew it was too pretty to be good lol - loving the content! Could you review "classic" skincare? Like Ponds and brands that have been around for ages - I'd love a good tea spill 😂
I only see the video now, so maybe they changed the ingredient list, but in Europe Pixi’s Glow Tonic does not have anything that Hyram was talking about, except the parfume. I truly like this tonic and i feel it helped my skin over the years of using it. 😊
Is it true it is bad to leave it the Vitamin C Tonic on our face overnight? How often would you say is best to use it , because accdg to Pixi it should be day AND night, but I highly doubt that.. :/ not quite sure how to use this product 😭 Would love your advice!
I'm so happy to hear this the pixi toner broke my skin out , I felt like I was a crazy person with how much people raved about the product, but I'm allergic to fragrance so I should have taken a better look at the ingredients list.
I use Pixi and I love them! However, I make sure I find the exact ones I need, I use: - Milky Hydrating Mist - Jasmine Smoothing Cleaner - Overnight Oil Moisturizer and - Botanical Collagen Lip-gloss These have been wonders for me personally, and I've read the ingredients my skin needs! So it's very important to just know your skin personally, and Hyram just made it easier for me to avoid things I don't need for my skincare.
Ughh this makes me so frustrated and sad because I have used and loved pixi for a long time now, but I can’t thank you enough for making this video!!!! I just use the glow tonic last night and the vitamin C serum this morning 🙄 gonna subscribe and keep watching more videos to figure out what to replace it with ❤️
I love a ton of IT Cosmetics products. Specifically their Bye Bye foundation. It has a lot of skincare benefits. But out of all the skin care I've tried from them, I only liked the Confidence in a Cleanser. Literally nothing else
Run away!!!! I have seen the cream cause milia all over the face and the eye cream caused little tiny breakouts around my entire eye area where I have never broken out before
Loving watching this. I tried the Glow Tonic years ago because of the hype and it WRECKED my skin for months. Never again. Have never gone back to Pixi
I actually have used the Double Cleanse, which is amazing. It's a collab with Caroline Hirons, which explains why it's one of the few good products they make. She does work with them, which disappoints me as the majority of their stuff is full of fragrance. Another big thing with them is the Milky Mist.
Ugh, this hurt . Loved my glow tonic, but I’ve been doing so much reading on all these ingredients and why fragrance free is best😩 thanks for educating me a little bit more
Pleaseeeeeeeee do Neutrogena!!!! Especially the hydroboost range and deep clean facial cleanser, extra gentle facial cleanser!!! Also hello! New subscriber and a fan !!! ❤️❤️❤️
i've been using the versed cleanser for a little while now (a few months) and i'm probably not going to continue using it. not because it's not a good cleanser, it just doesn't suit my needs. it's very fresh and not overly drying, so probably good for someone with dry skin, but i have more oily, acne-prone skin and it's not really making a difference in that. hope this helped!
I have used the Glow Tonic and my skin was like "NO sis - this ain't it!". My skin is quite reactive and pretty sensitive so I'm sure that didn't help. Other than that - I would rather spend a bit more and get a product without fragrance or harsh ingredients. My skin has enough issues without me adding more.
The huge thing that annoys me is that you can’t trust so many influencers/skin care ‘experts’. About two years ago I spent a small fortune making sure I had a full Pixi Routine because Caroline Hirons endorses the brand so heavily. My skin didn’t see any benefit from using Pixi and using cheaper brands like Cerave has given my more amazing results. Caroline rants and calls out other brands(drunk elephant etc) but is happy promoting Pixi? I don’t get it. This is just one of many examples, not necessarily a personal rant about Caroline. Thank you for being so honest I guess....it’s refreshing
6:07 I agree; I have dry, sensitive skin and the first toner I ever used was Thayers rose petal and I thought my skin loved it, but then I tried a rose water facial toner from leven rose and I was like, yooooo, thayers was drying out my skin
I've been using baby wipes on my face for YEARS, since my kids were in diapers and I had them around all the time. They're *considerably* cheaper than make-up wipes for essentially the same product, and the texture of the wipes is excellent for gentle exfoliation. My 13 year old son is.... not great about taking care of his skin, because of course he isn't. He's starting to get more breakouts as puberty really kicks in, and its been nearly impossible to get him to care enough about it to commit to a routine that includes actually washing his face before bed every night. Again, 13 year old boy. Unfortunately the combo of teenage hormones and not washing before bed is starting to create clusters of blackheads, concentrated in his T-zone and especially on his nose. Baby wipes to the rescue! They're super quick and easy to use, extremely convenient due to be entirely portable, and again, the exfoliating effect is both remarkably effective and remarkably gentle. The difference in that boy's skin is night and day, just from thoroughly cleaning his face with baby wipes several nights a week when he can't be bothered to put more effort into it. Anyone reading this comment, I highly recommend giving it a try. Of course it will never be better than just washing your face, but its a great way to effectively clean your face on those nights when you're seriously contemplating just sleeping in your make-up. And *SO MUCH CHEAPER* than makeup wipes!
Not only I like the information you shared on skincare... But I also love to hear the way you babbling while explaining your opinions, it's just feel like you're giving advice to your BFF.... Love all your vids ❤️
I found that my skin really improved when I first started using the glow tonic, and then progressively got much worse until I stopped using it so it’s good to know that’s probably down to the fragrance in their products
@@Sophia-bn6qg that's mostly cause serums tend to have a lot of actives in them, vit c, vit a, aha bha etc which you don't technically need if you're a teenager (esp early teens)
Something I’m 15 and use a vitamin c serum to help with my acne scars! It Disney hurt my skin and if u wanna then do it! I just wouldn’t recommend using a retinol bc that’s for wrinkles and whatnot which we as teens don’t need :)
I haven't tried pixi yet. I can understand why artificial fragrances are bad for skins and they also make my skin itchy , but why automatically decline products have essential oils ? If your skin doesn't get irritated essential oils are actually good for your skin and they are used for a lot of skin treatments.
I came across a young profoundly educated online dermatologist providing scientific sources in his videos for each and every issue he addresses. As for the reliability of the ingredient lists also scientifically backed up how unreliable the lists we see/are on the product are unreliable, some of which completely the same as the ingredient list for some food products. The lists compared and presented + explained with scientific papers link delving into the issue. Love him! P. S. Hope smb sees this and pays attention to that amazing dermatologists he genuinely deserves.
I agree with everything you've said about pixi skincare.. tried some out and had to toss half way through because it wasn't doing anything but starting to irritate my skin. Also, their customer service is non-existent.. I emailed them 2-3 times with the same question, weeks apart, and no one ever got back to me 😒
I can confirm that the glow toner did irritate my skin & cause breakouts, my skin isn’t even that sensitive. I was searching what ingredient in the product is to blame, this is the only product in my skin routine that contains perfumes, sooo I guess no more perfumes on my face.
Hey! Thanks for the review. Just a quick correction: I‘ve seen you mention this before, but Rosemary Leaf Water is not something „diluted“ in water, it is a different ingredient obtained by a steam distillation method. It‘s different than extract and oil, two ingredients obtained by different methods that contain different substances from the plant and used for different purposes. :)
Dude I watched this in the morning so I was kinda sleepy and I don’t have the pixi products aside from the facial mist so I was excited you were gonna talk abt it because I have been curious what it does for my skin. And girl I swear when u said it has over TEN fragrance essential oils I WOKE RIGHT UP ahahah
I don't normally comment on skin vids, but hyram has the balls to speak out about a major skincare company endorsed and hyped by thousands of CH, fans, hyram may not have skincare qualifications but as someone that has a few he is absolutely hitting the nail on the head, 99% of skincare reviewers don't have qualifications and and breeding worse information, I would say that hyram really puts in the hard yards for research, in addition, retinol palmitate can be commonly used just as a base antioxidant, without all the fibroblast stimulation and that jazz, but your right, in a toner or cleanser it's so limited in its ability and almost seems just marketing to me. People need to stop coming for his qualifications, and maybe read the walls of comments about users having terrible experiences with these products and put the hype aside for just one moment. Thanks.
I'm starting to think that lavender essential oil in products may be irritating my skin -- thanks for mentioning this, I thought I was crazy to consider lavender as being irritating.
Happy Painted Life I’m allergic to lavender in products, I can’t touch anything that has it as part of the ingredients, everyone talks about sudocream for spots but it would destroy my skin!
It’s crazy to think this brand is considered a drugstore brand in the US when here in Europe (or atleast in the Netherlands) it is marketed as a lowkey luxurious brand because they’re only retailed at pretty high end branded stores like Bijenkorf
in australia its deemed luxury. some of it in australia is pretty expensive and they are stocked in high retail places
In Sweden it’s the same!
Same in Germany!
Same in Estonia
same in norway!
Oooh I'm ready for this. Also I'd love a "truth about" video on Clinique or Neutrogena

Bubble Georges I loooove cerave 😍
they have great products but they’re not cruelty-free ):
Airbear !! True that's the only downside
Airbear !!
Kaylee Elizabeth What’s your favorite Cerave product? I honestly can’t decide haha they’re great top quality !
TALK ABOUT THAYERS. PLEASE. everybody be loving their toner
I just bought one 😬

This! I wouldn't class Pixi as a 'drugstore brand' you can just buy them on the high street. The UK equivalent of a drugstore (boots) also stocks Chanel. Does that make Chanel drugstore? 😆
Same here in Singapore. Rarely can get samples to try first before deciding to purchase the skincare product. It can get quite frustrating. 😔

Dagmar E thank you so much!❤️❤️❤️
Take a walk through a drugstore. There are a LOT of products for dry skin.
*waiting to finish my glow tonic then watching this video because i spent all my money on it and i don t want to feel sorry about it check *
gothgurl clique SAME I BOUGHT 3 😪
I just bought some too but can't stand the shine. I just pulled out receipt after watching this to see if I can return. I honestly didnt notice the scents and Im usually sensitive to any smell. Its the crazy shine and tacky filmy coating it leaves behind that bothers me. Im also having this weird tingling thing which has to be coming from that too.
missdhoops the tingling is what happens when you put acid on your skin, if it’s not too much it’s pretty normal
Same same
As long as it isn’t irritating your skin it’s “okay” but only use one product once or twice a week! I wouldn’t exceed two different ones. Pixi isn’t the best brand and it’s def my guilty pleasure. Use it in moderation don’t waste your money and once you’re done with it you can move on to better things! :)
I have the toxic habits to buy product then look at your review 💀
Mee toooo
That's literally where I am now xD
I can’t afford to spend money on a product that is not Hyram approved 💀
Lol same
the way it’s 1am and i have a lecture this morning,, if this doesn’t show my dedication to hyram’s channel then idk what does lol
Oh my gosh, you are the absolute best 😭❤ Thank you so much ily, good luck during the lecture!
Hyram
oh shit you replied,, thank you for giving us great skincare knowledge and stopping this broke uni student from spending money on overhyped brands!🥺💫
this lol I have a presentation tomorrow. 10% of my slides are done but here I am because I was literally just looking at pixi products this afternoon
Wow! This was sooo informative. Thank you 😊
I have never understood the hype Pixi gets.
I _HATE_ Pixi. I've tried some of their makeup and skincare and it's honestly all garbage. It baffles me that so many people like it
@@kashishgoel8474 Have you tried The Ordinary's Glycolic toner? It's better formulated and cheaper
I think they're popular on UA-cam because they send out PR to people. So those who watch YT think that if everyone is using Pixi, it must be good. When in reality it's just because they send out their products all the time. It's this way with a lot of brands actually, skincare and makeup.
@@kashishgoel8474 you might like The Ordinary Glycolic "tonic"
It’s so refreshing to see a skin care UA-camr calling out the excessive use of fragrances in skin care. I have eczema and I used to find it so frustrating when you tubers would try new skin care and asses the scent which has 0 benefit to your skin and is really bad for those of us with sensitive skin.
I’d really like a review on Garnier and L’Oréal 👀

Same

As an esthetician, I fully enjoy your takes on all these skincare lines. Thank you for all your work!❤️
Of course boo, thank you so much for your support!! 😍☺️
Veronica Foley interesting. I couldn’t use The Ordinary GA it broke my skin out. The Glow Tonic has been a lot gentler on my skin.
And it's cheaper too
I love The Ordinary, been using their products for a year now.
I tested the PH. of the Glow Tonic a few years ago. It was 4.2 which I believe is too high to do much if any exfoliation.
I just ordered my first Ordinary product today, I have high hopes for the brand :)
The vitamin c toner does WONDERS on my SKIN my blemishes have lightened dryness is gone. Definitely recommend ❤️
which one did u used??? will suggest for acne prone???
@@kunjalsahu3504 Vitamin-C Juice Cleanser & yes 👍🏼 Drink lots of water !! and you’ll see a huge difference in your skin.
Agree, I recently got a sample and in the few days I started using it (no other changes in my skincare) my skin has cleared and I’m glowing 😍
Is it true it is bad to leave it the Vitamin C Tonic on our face overnight? How often would you say is best to use it , because accdg to Pixi it should be day AND night, but I highly doubt that.. :/ not quite sure how to use this product 😭 Would love your advice!
@@thatonemom1415 do you use it at night too?
My dark spots, whiteheads and texture cleared up so much after using the Pixi Glow Tonic. It works differently for different people, and if you’re thinking of trying the glow tonic, please do! It may be your worst or best skincare investment. I tend to stay away from Hyram’s videos because I feel like his opinions are too self centred and he doesn’t include the majority opinions of others.
For me, it's the best toner I've ever tried, it's better than the ordinary one and the vitamin C Tonic is also my favorite.
It’s cleanser works very well for acne for me, it made my skin a bit dry to.
@@EstefaniaNeira bro is The Ordinary Glyco Acid 7% toning solution any good ?
It’s not just his opinion though. He’s giving you the science behind the ingredients. That’s not really something you can have opinions on.

Why would I ever spend $29 per item when Cerave exists 😬
Geez Louise I know this has been up for a while, but it’s $15 here.

could u do a vid on the french pharmacy brand La Roche Posay? i feel like France has lot of pharmacy or dermatological brands like Avene, Caudalie, Embryolisse n my holly grail brand- La Roche Posay, their EFFACLAR collection does wonder for my acne prone skin n their products have no fragrance, alcohol, dye, paraben. i like to know ur thoughts on their products, thx💕
I think LRP helped control my adult acne. I switched to consonant (a local brand for a more simple cleanse hydrated and moisturizer routine) so I haven’t used it in a while now but I may get reacquainted with the brand for some treatment products.
Yes! Please!
HereDianna what does fragrance do?
@@HereDiianas what about toleriane line?
I'm curious about how you feel about Clinique. They've claimed to be 100% fragrance free since I've known them
They've always been an anti-allergy brand so they've never had fragrance.
There products are full of alcohol and they test on animals
Idk, I've had an exceptionally wonderful experience with all of the pixi products I buy. I only started buying when I saw it at Target. Glow tonic actually helped me a lot with my skin too.
Please do a burt’s bees one
I have a love hate relationship with their skin care products and tried to see reviews but there isn’t much information on it
I heard Burt's Bees has unethical treatment of bees?
@@ipodgirl95 Burt doesn't even own the company anymore, so it's likely the business swelled up but the standards went down with demand.
Burt’s Bees now uses canola & soybean oils in everything. After Burt sold the company, it became a shell of what it used to be. He passed away but before he did, he was upset at how they changed things. There’s a documentary about him that used to be on Netflix.
The packaging alone screams gimmick to me.
Agreed. Ill just stick to their makeup for now when i can afford it 🤣🤣
I think some of the packaging looks cute
I found you randomly in my suggested and now you’ve become one of my favorites! Thanks for feeding my skincare obsession
god you make me feel so much better about not getting certain products that I've been putting off buying
and I put off buying a lot of shit. im broke as hell.
mary honestly me too
I'm honestly so glad my best friend trained me to check the ingredients for a product before I buy it.
I tried the glow tonic without knowing any of the hype and I totally love it
Same, I’ve never seen anyone really talk about Pixi (admittedly, I don’t really watch too many “Influencers”), and I tried a few products from their line.
Saeyoung, I apply a few times a week, after cleansing, with a cotton round. I do it before I use any moisturizer. And thank you!!
me too! i tried it cos my friend recommended it, and it REALLY WORKS.
Beth Schumacher yea I didn’t like it it burned my skin :/
What? Sodium Hydroxide is irritating when inhaled? I have asthma, do you think it can be potentially irritating? Sorry to ask you this here! But now I’m worried🙁
I thought beauty was pain?
I’m so drawn to Pixi’s branding, all the fragrance breaks my heart 😩 Not to mention, the prices are wayyyy out of whack for their formulations.....

Also I think the Pixi Glow Tonic is a fan favorite because Caroline Hirons endorses it and recommends it as an affordable glycolic acid alternative to something like Good Genes, Tarte Knockout, etc.
who?
Artist N Soul no, I’m not massively into the skincare world. I know more than the average consumer though. She is not the reason it’s so popular.
Yes, I was gonna say that Pixie’s success is partly because of CH. I definitely bought the Glow Tonic because she endorsed the brand so many times.
U should review indian skincare n Indian diys soo much contraversy
Yes yes yes..
Yes!! Please do that! Review Forrest essentials. It’s a lovely brand.
Plzz hyram this is my request too
Absolutely.
Aabha Sharma it’s incredibly harsh and not for sensitive at all. Filled with unnecessary fragrances and made my eczema flare up.

As soon as I started using the ordinary my skin cleared up and calmed down, such a good brand and so cheap.
bruh i dont know anybody iwho ever looked twice at neutrogena
If you think it’s good why stop using it? As far as I know Hyram isn’t a certified dermatologist and his videos are based on opinion. Disappoints me to see so many people like sheep and not have an opinion for themselves
Cerave is amazingggggggg
I want to know your thoughts on the brand Caudalie... they’re a “clean” brand but I want to know what you think about their product’s effectiveness. I’ve used a few things by them and have loved them!
Alex Dingess I bought and tried the caudalie SOS thirst quenching serum and it gave my skin an allergic reaction aka small red bumps literally the next day 😞
I really really really loved the pink moisturizer
Alex Dingess same
I loved their toner but stopped using this brand. Unfortunately, Caudalie is not cruelty free.
i tried this brand and it literally did nothing...The brand the Ordinary is the way to go!
Late to the game, but being honest and stating facts about a brand is NOT being shady!! We appreciate you!
Abby Foxall The Ordinary has a 7% glycolic acid toner!
Helen I used that! It made my skin a irritated though so I had to add a bit of (distilled) water into it to dilute it
Sodium Hydroxide is a pH modifier. When mixed with high pH acids there is really nothing to be alarmed about.
I immediately had to click on this. I love the Glow Tonic but I am excited to hear your thoughts on this.

I loved the double cleanse, not long ago I actually found it on sale and bought a few, but after I use up the last one I won't repurchase because it contains polyethylene. i've been using the versed cleanser for a little while now (a few months) and i'm probably not going to continue using it. not because it's not a good cleanser, it just doesn't suit my needs. it's very fresh and not overly drying, so probably good for someone with dry skin, but i have more oily, acne-prone skin and it's not really making a difference in that. hope this helped!

I have used the Glow Tonic and my skin was like "NO sis - this ain't it!". My skin is quite reactive and pretty sensitive so I'm sure that didn't help. Mine uses that 5 in 1 shampoo conditioner bodywash etc
And *SO MUCH CHEAPER* than makeup wipes!
baby wipes are the best!! hahah
Lmfao one swipe and done ...
They’re soooo abrasive 😭
Not only I like the information you shared on skincare... But I also love to hear the way you babbling while explaining your opinions, it's just feel like you're giving advice to your BFF.... Love all your vids ❤️
I found that my skin really improved when I first started using the glow tonic, and then progressively got much worse until I stopped using it so it’s good to know that’s probably down to the fragrance in their products
For me it’s always a good provduct but it’s best to use only a few times a week not everyday
I wasn’t surprised by this at all.
Can you review First Aid Beauty?
The vitamin c toner by pixi is AMAAAZING my skin loves it so much. Could you review that one?
How old should you be to use it?
bocacolax okay thanks! Someone told me you shouldn’t use serums as a teen.
Can't make me not like the Pixi! I appreciate your opinion though.
Aw thank you for respecting a difference of opinion, I appreciate you!! ❤️
Lol same! I use Pixi products every night and I’ve seen such a major difference in my skin
ImNotCallingYouALiar me too. I love my pixi products tbh. But I appreciate his take on it.
I used to use his brand but it really did nothing for me so I stopped 😂
I agree with everything you've said about pixi skincare.. tried some out and had to toss half way through because it wasn't doing anything but starting to irritate my skin. Also, their customer service is non-existent.. I emailed them 2-3 times with the same question, weeks apart, and no one ever got back to me 😒
me during the entire video losing focus: he's literally glowing omg
I can confirm that the glow toner did irritate my skin & cause breakouts, my skin isn’t even that sensitive. I was searching what ingredient in the product is to blame, this is the only product in my skin routine that contains perfumes, sooo I guess no more perfumes on my face.
How often did you use it?
Elaina Fernando every 3 days
Love hearing your opinions on this brand and have been binge watching all your videos. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the Good Molecules line.
"To bash the brand"
Yas! That's why I'm here 💕😂
Dude I watched this in the morning so I was kinda sleepy and I don’t have the pixi products aside from the facial mist so I was excited you were gonna talk abt it because I have been curious what it does for my skin.
