This is such a beautiful original song from Tim. He is a wonderful songwriter. This song was originally on Tim's solo album before joining Home Free called "The Best That I Could Do". Nice to see it redone with Home Free.
Just saw them live in concert about a week ago ... what a party ! Love them all ... they sound even better in person , if you can believe it ! Such talent !

My favorite, from the first listen on Tim's solo album, then with the boys, but the harmonies on this version are made in heaven. I switch between the 3 versions, but it's on repeat for sure in my playlist 😏 .

Love your reactions, thank you. I’ve seen and So Long Dixie are both in my top ten (what we aint got is another). Tim wrote this with Joe Bilotta I believe, and it was featured on his 2011 solo album “The Best That I could Do”. However, I prefer this most recent version, though it is close to the older Home Free version. Tim’s voice has matured and he’s just gotten better. I feel his singing over the past few years has more personality in it. May your day be blessed.

You are spot on! This would be a great first dance song at a wedding reception! Tim is an excellent songwriter! It’s on of my favorites of his. I actually didn’t care for the lyric video at first, but it’s grown on me. As you said, it allows you to focus on the vocals and lyrics better than a regular video. Maybe if they ever do another video for this one, it could be the guys just sitting in the round in the studio or just them somewhere that doesn’t take away from the music. Maybe, if you and your wife ever decide to renew your vows years down the line, you could use this one. ☺️

Adore this song. Makes me want to sway, dance. HF does have a previous music video of this with clips of them on tour. This version rivals a very young Tim performing this at a radio station, with ChrisC providing guitar and harmony. So pretty and pure...perhaps you'll want to add it to your playlist, as well.
