I call a video like this proof that you know your stuff about phones. Mine has been my spare backup backpack phone, to my Sony Xperia 5, since I bought it when it was new. I still miss the headphone jack and the loudness of the speakers. The battery performance is unbelievably bad now, though and every time you plug in the charger, the charge that it shows (that it thinks it has in it) is different. So the battery is knackered. But the phone is so good at music and media and the screen is so fantastic that I found a video on YT about how to fit a new battery, ordered a battery, and ordered loads of tools, pry bars, glue and sticky foam for inside, etc, with the intention to fit a battery, myself. Or at least try. I haven't got round to it yet but at least, with the age of it and the resale value probably being not much more than 0, now, it won't matter if I can't get it back together but I really want to try and get it working like it did when it was new. I just ordered a Sony Xperia 5 iii, to replace my Xperia 5 and I would honestly rather have a working Axon 7 as my backup 2nd phone, than keep the Xperia 5.
I bought my in November 2017 and still using this phone as my daily, not cause i cant afford a new one, but im so used to it and i love it. Had to replace battery 2 times.
Bro this is my first flagship o could afford when I was 18 this is crazy. Best phone I coulda got for the money at the time. Still crazy. I gotta look for this in ally drawers. Keep it rockin bro
It was great to see a five year review of this awesome phone. It's been my daily driver for over four years now. Replaced the battery almost two years ago and it does alright but depending on usage I still need to plug in once or twice a day to make it last till night. I'm looking at upgrading to something with better battery life, but will definitely be keeping the Axon 7 as a media player. It's just sad nobody makes phones like this anymore. This one literally had everything, barring a not so good battery.

Hey J.! I still have mine, but now I am only using it when I listen music in my home. To this day, only ASUS ROG Phone series speakers can compete with Axon 7 speakers! Battery life holds up - I'm always near a charger, but if I want a night out I make sure it's fully charged before going. The 4K resolution is absolutely OVERKILL - Full HD is enough for a phone, but there is no substitute to the Axon's front-facing stereo speakers. I still have my axon 7 but the battery life is trash and it needs to be replaced. I got the battery replaced on my nexus 6p but it's mediocre at best and the software updates what killed the battery life and performance. Before the update the battery was way better and no lag but software updates is what caused lag and mediocre battery life. With every software the phone gets hot. It's why I no longer update the phone at all not even security patch updates. I hate software updates since they have bugs. I only update apps from the Google play store that way if the apps have bugs I can always revert back to the previous version that is stable and update the apps once they become stable and reliable. To this day my phones last way longer with doing no updates versus phones that I updated. The version of the os is well optimized for the device that the phone came with versus doing an update.I kept the nexus 6p since it was the last nexus device. I bought the HTC nexus 9 tablet but it's slow and laggy and I even bought the pixel c tablet and it runs faster than the nexus 9 tablet. The HTC nexus 9 was the last nexus tablet that's why I bought it plus its my favorite tablet.
Definitely. They have a 4000mh battery that last longer. Only downside is finding a phone repair location that would do the job. I went around this and did it myself. It runs fine for todays task. My daily.

hello mr.Williams,i have it for 2 years. And a problem is that the charging port is stopped working.Do you maybe know how to fix this? Its not dirty or dropped to break.I watched some viedos and they say its common and have to buy a new port?
the ZTE USA website is down. do you happen to have the Oreo update to share for downloading it? I have my Axon 7 and I want to update it too.
MY battery died after 5 years of use.. ordered my new one... I will use Axon 7 till the end of times. What a BOSS of a phone.
Same thing with mines I installed it so easy compared with the new stuff
16:9 rocks
Has the battery degraded?
I miss my Axon 7 Mini!
I don't have this one but i have a phone you recommended back then leeco s3. Running pixel experience custom rom
Oh damn! I forgot about this beast...like the htc m9
I looked for years for a new one but they just aren't out there.
Yeah.
I'll buy another when I find one.
Though this one is still working Great 🤗
I still have my axon 7 but the battery life is trash and it needs to be replaced.
Is it worth it to get replaced the battery of this phone? My cousin gave me this but the battery is dead every time it was not plugged while charging.
Definitely. They have a 4000mh battery that last longer. Only downside is finding a phone repair location that would do the job. I went around this and did it myself. It runs fine for todays task. My daily.
This 5 year review is amazing
Hi J I'm still using the original version without any updates as i couldn't understand how to update by myself. I'm partially sighted so it's difficult. Any help would be appreciated. I can't get over how the speaker is still one of the best to this day. Please help
