I don't know if you saw, but Encens Mythique was discontinued this year. Guerlain revamped the whole line and changed it from Les Absolus d'Orient to Absolus Allegoria and Encens Mythique didn't cross over. I still see some bottles of the latest batches online, but Guerlain doesn't carry it any longer. I think my bottle is also from the 2020 or 2021 batch, like yours. Guerlain batch codes are easy because they just recycle them every 10 years, and the first digit in the code is the last digit of the year in question, so the 1B01 code corresponds to 2021. I've loved these lists lately! Thanks for sharing them!

Hi Dacob. I'm not sure that I have a dark mood perfume. Maybe the patchouli oil that I have if anything. But instant happy for me is a lemon or grapefruit essential oil, or Oscar de la Renta Volupt. Also, So de la Renta. Anything with vanilla, etc. 😊
My moody ones are Tom Ford - Oud Minérale and Lalique - Encre Noire. But your last example makes me glad. Turns out my skin is too sensetive, or worse, i’m allergic ( the horror ) so wearing a fragrance daily seems to be out of the picture for me.
Not knowing which perfume to wear can be a problem when travelling, that’s always take 3… A smoky amber, an aldehyde and a powdery perfume. I have to be in the mood for Fracas, but I couldn’t stand Encens Mystique, I couldn’t scrub it off quick enough.
Completely off topic (and I'm not sure if you've covered this before) but I'm so sad that Coco Mademoiselle body cream has been discontinued here in the States! 😔
Encens Mythique sounds incredible. I love incense scents on moody at-home days. And natural ambergris! What a treasure! Too bad they discontinued that note in the perfume, but it is probably too rare and prohibitively expensive now, even in a luxury line. I’m surprised it was in there at all. Maybe it was a limited batch. That’s so funny about Germaine Cellier’s formulating Fracas according to her mood of the day. And it’s true that Fracas itself is moody! Even if the current formula is consistent, you never know what it’s going to do on your skin. It can go badly, or really really well. That has been my experience anyway. The perfume channels its creator’s ghost.
