Actually I damaged a couple sections with the rivet gun so we’re gonna go back to Maaco and have them use touch up paint on all the parts that got chipped
@@SpiritDriven oh gotcha! well if you can get a couple ounces of the paint from maaco, then you can get some hardner from somewhere like oreillys. mix it together and get it pretty thick and it’ll be really good for touch ups.

I'm just wondering why you guys didn't use rivNUTS rather than rivets. You can just insert the thread into the car and then use tiny dress bolts and washers to clamp the fenders down. It will make removing the fenders so much easier.
Also, the car is crazy low! You are probably going to have to make clearance above the front wheels. There's this annoying part of the frame just beneath the strut towers which limits your bump travel and it also features a nasty pinch weld which will cut your tyres. Also the box section at the end of the rocker panel which will limit your steering lock. The box section can just be slit and bashed flat, same with the pinch weld, but I'm not really sure about that bit of frame under the strut tower. I've seen air suspension guys actually cut it back and reweld in a new piece of metal there, but this is really part of the chassis. I'm static, so I can't go any lower :( I've got about 7cm from the top of my tyres to the frame, but I'm on 275 30 19s on a 19x10.5 +7.
Anyway, can't wait to see the finished product!
[Edit] I also forgot that putting a layer of double sided foam tape under the fenders, along the edges, can make a huge difference to appearance and also remove some annoying buzzing on the highway. Just make sure it's fully black foam tape. Or just buy a fender gasket kit.

So we didn’t want to go for the rivnuts because we didn’t want any chances of someone being able to take it off, we kind of live in a sketchy area lol
Aaaaaaall those places you mentioned yes we cut slits and hammered literally EVERYTHING lol
We got 0 issues finally after 7 entire days of clearing all corners
And your size wheels seems way more appealing
The wheels we got were just absurdly too wide lol
And as far as the foam/weatherstripping we used it on the last kit she had on the car but this rallybacker sits so flush there’s almost no need for the gaskets as of right now

My wheels are easier in terms of the width but only because my widebody kit is nowhere near as wide as Rocket bunny or Rallybacker. I think I should've got 18s though, then I could lower the car more without worrying about clearance.

You’re right, that part of the body needs a little contrast. Wrapping a darker color (black/dark gray metallic) to break it up and dial it in seems like a great idea! Hate that I have to wait till Monday to see it finished though 😂😂😂

That’s based all on how unpractical you want to be
We’re running a 11.5 in the front and a 12.5 in the rear with -70 offset so you can get an idea of how big you can go
I’ve seen others run 14s in the rear just all depends on the look you want
