    Symmetrical jigs usually good for fast jigging. Asymmetrical ones are for slow jigging. Nice sharing of knowledge keep it up! Fish on! Fellow angler from Dubai UAE.

    Great info! I find sliders are very efficient but need some high pitching or a couple of fast pitching then a pause . Should the slider slide backward, in the direction of a chasing fish, or is it a jig design mistake? I think the fish would get scared if suddenly the jig starts to move in its direction. What do you think?

    Pre yung about sa current, paano kung current ng tubig ay malakas anong magandang jig (for slow pitch and fast), ang alam ko lang pag sa slow pitch, kapag malakas ang alon ng tubig yung mga long jig ginagamit nila pero pag walang masyadong alon yung medium at maliit ang ginagamit.

      Sounds about right. But waves and current are different. slim jigs work well in current and in very
      deep water.

    • @TheFishingKit

      Actually quite simple. Fast jigs have action on the way up (when you jig) slow jigs have the action when they fall. the rest are specifics.

    • @TheFishingKit

    Another great video, im getting addicted to them lol. This might be a silly question, Ive started Kayak fishing and I was doing some vertical (parallel) drops with my jig, should I only use fast jigs for this, are fast jigs the same as vertical jigs and can you vertical jig (parallel) with slow jigs? Thanks mate

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Mark, they are all forms of vertical jigging - the difference is the presentation. You can use both on the yak, and they work - I kayak fish a lot too, and use slow and fast jigging + Tai rubber.

    I have light rod 2-18 grams so which line you reccomend and lures that match to my rod

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  9 місяців тому +1

      You know, that greatly depends on what you want to use it for. You can be using it for very light soft plastics and the line is different from when you would be using it for mostly metal jigs....so tell me exactly what type of fishing you are mostly into and we can figure things out.

    what is the name of the longest jig?

  • @megaz01
    @megaz01 2 роки тому

    Do the weight of the lure matters in strong current ? I used 80 grams of slow pitch lure when I want action to fall and move slow, and 200 grams, long and slim jig for fast drop in a strong current and so for its action to maintain. Is this applied right kit?

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  2 роки тому

      the shape and weight of the jig matters as this gets affected by current. this also depends on how deep you are fishing. 80 might be enough if you are fishing under 100m more or less and the wider the jig is, the more it gets affected. So a slim 80g will go down faster than a wider bodied 80g jig.

    Can I use slow jigging jigs with a Trevala rod?

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  4 роки тому +1

      You technically can, but it wont be sensitive enough to detect soft takes, and more importantly, it won't have the flicking action of the rod at the end of each pitch to give it the right action. The system is quite different and is a balancing act - get one out of balance, and it won't be as effective.

    • @wipe23
      @wipe23 4 роки тому +1

      Ok, My fishing is mostly in kayak and looking to use a rod that can be used with both methods. Do you know any rod that can be use it in both ways? I jigging mostly 100' to 300'

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  4 роки тому +1

      @@wipe23 if the rod is long enough, you can stick with the long fall method, it should work - you will need really sharp thin hooks. I have tried this in the past when I was in a bind and it actually worked out quite well. Good enough for some friends in the Philippines to have used it for years before investing on a proper slow jigging set up.
