I'm an atheist just trying to get a better understanding of faith by talking openly with people of faith in my home life and a little online. May I just say that this channel, and you yourself Stephan, are very insightful and delightful. Thank you for the great video.
Not saying this is you, but it is so sad often times, often with catholics, that people born in religious families who once had faith say the people in that family are the reason they have no faith, or the church is the reason they have no faith. Hazing, rumors, favoritism, judgment etc seem to be the causes of those people forsaking their faith because of the PEOPLE. Not everyone in church is a Christian. Not every Christian is going to heaven. EVERY Christian is a sinner. Now it is a entirely different situation if your household or church has legitimate grievances toward you behavior and 1st tries to help and change you but if you don't then you are cast out. That is entirely different then what I am talking about. (Ex. Homosexuality, criminality, or you straight up practice a different religion ex. Paganism etc.)

You took my words out of my mouth. I have ner heard of Montanism (or maybe I did when I was a student?), but it sounds like the grandfather of Pentecostalism to me.
The difference between Heresy and Heterodoxy was helpful. Also, I'd never heard of Montanism before. I'm looking forward to the episode on the Theotokos as you mentioned. That tea does indeed sound strange. God Bless you all. ☦
I like how Dr Constantinou say how there’s an element of logic in all heresies, otherwise people wouldn’t follow them. That’s one of the reasons for the importance of apostolic teaching expounded upon by the church fathers, people much better placed to reveal divine truth than most.
Amazing videos.. I recommend your Chanel to all the catechumens and the parishioners in my Church. Please keep the videos coming .. such a blessing for all of us 🙏🏼🕊☦️
This channel is going places, great quality! Just stumbled on it on my recommendation, had me watching even as a non-believer. The history element to it is great, keep it up!

I first knew the word Heresy from the word "Herehe(heh-reh-heh)" which I knew from José Rizal's books (because my country, the Philippines, is a Spanish Colony). Its really funny to see this word be used in humour nowadays, especially in Warhammer 40,000...where theocratic satire is the target.

Arius believed Jesus was God, he just believed he was begotten literally. It was the Neo Arians who believed he wasn’t
