Usually out of the back of tape deck. They make a 1/4 inch to rca adapter super easy. This small one I have has a stereo Jack on the front only. Typical double head deck has rca out and in. Sometimes I’ll make a drum beat on an mpc and record it on to tape then back into mpc and make a loop. It’s way too easy.
@@MPCandGuitar I have two Sony tape decks here in the studio. I've thought about using them for saturation (as opposed to plugins), but now seeing you do it makes me wanna give it a go.

Tapes are practically free at thrift stores. There’s some weird cassettes. These ones were Morse code training tapes

Man I finally just got into the chop function on the x. It’s quite amazing how easy it is to make a program out of one simple loop.
