      I may be wrong, but according to the heading and description, isn't that "their Mluwati father" - assuming that is their sire, but I know that's unnatural in the lion social structure.

      @@dyates6380 The father did not even move. He was chilling in the grass behind those boys, far away from action. Its his sons who are doing all the running around. He has a Dark and bigger mane than his sons

    Mulwati males sons. He about 10 years old and he is very wise to keep his sons with him. He was very proud of them .When lions get about 10 it will be wise to keep your sons. Great video great catch great hunt

      Lions don't keep their sons with them. Sons are chased out the pride about age 2 sometimes a bit earlier or later. It may happens that the pride is soon after taken over by other males forcing the father to flee. Sometimes after fleeing he finds his son or sons that he recently chased out. They will form a bond only if the sons are not mature enough to take over a pride of their own. They stay with dad because he's able to help to defend them as well as hunt.

      @@falanajerido875 Somebody don't agree with your nonsense, they need to wake up uh. It's in it's nature to chase their sons out the pride to prevent in breeding. The only way they meet up again is if the father is removed as head of his own pride and by chance meets up with the sons he kicked out. That's the way of the lion's nature and regardless of what you chooses to think will never change that.

      Yes after so many attempt he/she supposed to runaway from lion coz the was a chance of doing so but overconfidence killed him , how can u remained fighting while u are injured already. Feel pity for him

    Those cape buffalos are enormous and can weigh up to 4000lbs (correct me if I'm wrong)

      They are big, but 4000 is a huge stretch. Adult bulls get to 1600-2300, females around 1000. Hippos and rhinos weigh 4000-8000 lbs

      Its a young buffalo- there is flight or fight response (normally) but if one is young and inexperienced trauma can cause him/her to freeze and in this case become a meal.

    Regarding the strange behavior at the end, the buffalo started hitting the injured buffalo surrounded by male lions. Is he trying to help injured buffalo to stand on his feet or after so many save attempts, Buffalo showing his frustration by hitting him hard?

      Yes they are trying to get other buffalo to get up...they do it all the time when other buffalo goes down like that!! Looks violent but that's what they often do

      1. the buffalo tries to move the injured female away but in the end he checks up that there is no chance for the female because broken leg. So he gives up. This is the hard rules of the nature... sicks, weaks, injured animal get killed.

    Seems it was not just because they could but rather because they needed to eat. Odd how the first buff was rescued by his friend, but in the end a lion distracted one while his companion pounced on the buff.
