Nice! There's a handful of these that'd be candidates for my list as well, namely Porcupine Tree, Ok Goodnight, The Dear Hunter, Kyros, and Toehider. Though I'd probably favor I LIKE IT from Toehider over I Have Little To No Memory of These Memories (even though that's a fantastic one as well). I didn't know Nickel Creek. Just gave it a quick listen and that is definitely going on the playlist at work tomorrow. Thank you! :D
I'm surprised Meer isn't connecting with you also...it's hard for me to even communicate why it connects with me so well, but it just hits this sweet spot for me that I recognized right when I first heard 'Playing House'. But, I can see that many people aren't quite as enthusiastic as I am about it (even if many can appreciate it for what it is). I just love the majesty and grandness of the orchestral elements and the passion behind the dual vocals. Something like 'Today, Tonight, Tomorrow' is just stunning to me with how it builds and soars... But, I wonder if it leans a bit too poppy for you and misses that Prog 'quirkiness' that you might be looking for? But, who knows, really...sometimes it just isn't for you and that is ok too...there are a ton of bands that I feel I should like but just haven't connected yet either...
Really enjoyed this one. My tastes also lean towards the pop end of prog, so Meer and Moon Safari were obvious purchases for me, plus a few others. And Dirt Poor Robins also, if it was available on CD. As you like vocal harmony, what do you think of Jacob Collier?
I've loved what I've heard from Jacob Collier, but I admittedly haven't heard a lot of his music yet. Definitely on my list to check out more from him!
Good list, even if I expect mine would look radically different. Bear Ghost was new to me. On a first listen it seems to land somewhere in the middle of the Jellyfish/Mr Bungle venn diagram. This is a good thing.
Fauna is amazing! Don't let anyone try to make you feel bad for liking it. Amazing music. Great list Nathan!
Awesome episode!!!!
Fauna is amazing! definitely my fav prog album of the 2020s!
I'll admit I'm a sucker for this list format, but appreciate hearing your takes given how many great albums I've found from the channel
Great video! I obviously agree with many of your choices - no surprise there 🙂
🔥🔥🔥

Awesome! No problem!
Hey Nathan! No Jon with TRUE? Why? I don't understand??? Please fill me in. Thanks!😎
It's a great one, no doubt! Would be totally worthy on a list like this...just barely missed mine this time around!
Bravo. Pleased to see Celebrants and Antimai on the list. Wish I could figure out Meer! Seems perfect for me on paper but it hasn’t connected yet.

My favorite bands that have released albums in the 2020's are Haken, Dream Theater, Caligula's Horse, Pineapple Thief, and Frost*,
Thanks Nathan!
should i listen to moon safari vol 1 before vol 2, or does it matter?
I don’t think it really matters, they feel like 2 pretty separate albums. And I much prefer vol 2 myself, but definitely both are worth listening to!
