- In today's furniture Makeover video, we are giving an old dresser and nightstand an extreme transformation. We are going to strip, sand and bring it back to its natural beauty. Then use some stencils and white wax to give it an extra pop!

Love how they turned out. I’ve used Mod Podge on my stencil prior to the paint color for that exact same reason. I no longer pick up previously painted furniture....now if the piece isn’t with just the original factory finish, I pass it by. I’m trying to work smarter 🤣

Totally. I dont necessarily rule out painted but Im all about solid wood pieces and 'picky' about what to paint/refinish. I was 'flipping' furniture/other items 20 years ago. haha. too bad I never documented it! LOL

Hi Amy this piece came up beautifully I love the natural /light wash look and the stencil was a perfect effect the hardware looks really lovely too, ,great tip too using sealer first, I make wood signs using plastic stencils and struggle with blesd through and puffing or lifting up but using a sealer first is brilliant I'm definitely going to try that forsue, t hhanks for sharing this video, I love your work and have picked up a lot of great tips I use for both furniture painting as well as my signs, take care all the best Mary in Australia 🌻

OK, this is my second time watching this amazing video. I just can’t get over how beautiful it turned out. I have a dresser in my storage area but I think I’m gonna try this process on. Hi Amy, I must say this set is stunning! I've never heard of using sealer with stencils. It just clicked as you explained why it helps. What a brilliant idea. From sand, strip, whitewash, seal, wax, seal, stencil, and seal again, there's an abundance of time, talent and love! I always feel like I can do anything after watching your tutorials. This is my favorite furniture flip of all time ! This natural wood is just so beautiful with the white wash . I did not think such gorgeous wood was underneath all that paint . So shocked 😳 very beautiful end result 🦋
