April 2020, searched for 45 min to dig this up because it's still the best example of what a truly inspiring AMV is, as well as my hands-down favorite to date. 14 years... In 11 years (25 years after this was created) I will be back to induct it into the AMV Hall of Fame.
this goes back to when I started discovering anime on my own and found this. I was addicted. I love this AMV so freaking much It's a piece of freaking art shit I'm crying.
This shit is a time capsule of anime in 2006, and a damn good one at that. I love the solo segments for Orochimaru and Enel both match their personalities, too. It was just well thought out on top of being superbly edited with software which likely wasn't even remotely as good as what is available to the indie producer nowadays. Skill.
Almost a decade after this vid was created I still look back and feel the power of it. This is as close to perfection as an amv can come in my books. Well timed, well chosen, well done. I hope you see this and are motivated to continue creating excellence.
