    I watch The Crow once per year each October. It's not a perfect movie by any means, but it is one of my absolute favorites. The atmosphere they create is so immersive, you can almost feel the movie. Thank you for this awesome location video, amazing job on your research to find and present it!

      I absolutely agree with you. It's so well done that its flaws are actually an appreciated part of the artistic outcome. It was so wonderfully stylistic, and Brandon's portrayal, along with all of the other actors felt so authentic.

    RIP Brandon Lee. He left this earth on the tightest and best performance of his life & movie carrier. He's wonderfully happy with his legendary father somewhere in the afterlife. His passing is so tragic because he was a wonderful, handsome & very kind man and did not deserve to get taken so soon.

    I always thought Brandon Lee was such a great actor. He was a good looking actor and a really nice guy. I remember watching TV when they announced his death. It did change how the armorers handled at passed out the weapons for use in TV and Movie productions. Ryan, you ran down a ton of information for doing this show. Great job as I expect from you. The Crow is a beautiful movie, just like Brandons soul. He left this earth on the highest note possible with that performance. Nothing to be sad about. He's probably enjoying a new existence somewhere with his father in another realm. I mean, anything and everything is possible.

    One of my favorite superhero films of all time! I met James O'Barr last week at a comic expo in Memphis, Tennessee and he's an amazing man. I asked him what was like talking to Brandon Lee during the set of The Crow and he said that Lee was like a younger brother to him. there wasnt a bullet in the gun. it was a fragment of a previous blank and the force of the shot propelled that fragment into Brandon and thats what killed him

    • @JonnyMc7
      @JonnyMc7 8 місяців тому +3

      There was a bullet a real one in the barrel that came off the casing after the prop master pulled trigger the firing cap went off no gun powder but the cap was enough to force the bullet out of the casing and into the barrel a couple of weeks earlier then the night of the accident the gun wasn’t checked for an obstruction a blanks were put in the gun and when fired it the bullet basically came out full force like if it were fired out of the bullet casing. They didn’t have any dummy bullets so a prop master got some real bullets that were in his car took bullet tip off emptied gunpowder and replaced the tip but didn’t fire the caps they needed the prop bullets for a forward facing scene to show bullets in the cylinders. The armorer was sent home day before the accident as there wasn’t supposed to be any more gun scenes. It was supposed to be a knife thrown at Brandon by Tintin and not shot

    So happy to finally see this and great drone footage! Great job! I did the tour 2003? , so One Tree Hill set was up and they never mentioned the Crow even did a screening room of movies filmed there and nothing so I asked lol! I was also friends with a guy who worked on this but, passed a couple years ago. He had some crazy stories. That apartment I missed so hopefully I can get there next time and fun boys apartment/fire escape in between the brewery and port city Java. The cost cutting and making of home made blanks resulted in the primer was left in fired so during the close up it popped just enough to dislodge the tip and it was stuck in the barrel So, when they used the powder/blank for his murder scene with Michael Masse it had enough blast to shoot Brandon unfortunately. God bless. Ofcourse, James O' Barr's cameo as the looter outside of Gideon's. ;)

    What happened with the gun was that, specifically with revolvers, they use blanks, when the firearm is pointed away from the camera and when the firearm is pointed towards the camera, they use prop bullet caps. (the front of the bullet) They do this because you can see right into a revolver, from the front and you can see if it's loaded or not. So, one of these caps was left in the revolver. The blank, which is filled with gunpowder, fired the cap into Brandon Lee. Such a tragic loss. RIP.

    • @jasongt1
      @jasongt1 Рік тому +2

      Kind of. I read it differently. It was sort of redone. The scene he was shot in was actually one where he entered the apartment carrying a grocery bag, and he was shot first. In the reshoots, he gets stabbed by Tin Tin, and then Shot by funboy. Maybe that's what you meant, though. The home invasion.

    Remember: it's on the third or 4th shot that Brandon got hit. Michael had fired the gun a couple of times before, and nothing had occurred. This has been documented. My suspicion is that a real gun with actual bullets in it ended up on that set. Coincidence or accident? I don't believe it.

      From Cliffnotes.com: To avenge is to punish a wrong with the idea of seeing justice done. Revenge is harsher and/or less concerned with justice than with retaliating by inflicting harm.
      I see it as revenge but it depends on your definition of justice, I guess. I assume that’s what you’re getting at and not miscorrecting grammar?

      I heard differently. The impact to his spine likely caused him to collapse backwards against a wall and down from spinal shock, and he was reportedly awake but barely responsive. Someone claimed he motioned vaguely to his abdomen. Of course it was all on film but reportedly that film was destroyed by the police department after the investigation. There is an episode of a series called Autopsy: The Last Hours of Brandon Lee that provides an excellent, if predictably overproduced and drawn out, breakdown of events. Arteriosclerosis from smoking may have contributed to how deadly the impact was for him. A tragic end for a very bright up and coming star.

      There's a few sources that have said this whether it's true or not who can say. As for the footage? I have heard that it's still intact and and an investigator actually got to view it. I still say we're not going to find out the truth to this.

    I worked for Rhino staging and Argus staffing. I witnessed two instances I felt lucky to have walked away from. First one was doing security checks at the gates for a broncos game at invesco field. The field had just been bought by sports authority and security policy was changed to help tighten up and reduce weapons being snuck in. We were trained to do full body frisks, all the way around waist, inside and outside of pants and inside and outside of long sleeves. Also hats were to be removed breifly. This resulted in not being able to get all the fans in the stadium before kick off, I was doing checks at the south gate infront of a huge wall extending down the stairs to the parking lot. All of a sudden I heard the national anthem and fans started pushing forward. I almost got knocked over and crushed what they call a crowd crush. I immediately yelled STOP!!! BACK UP!!! which to my amazement actually worked as I'm not a big guy and many of these fans were 6ft+ jocks. Had I not yelled when I did I'd probably be dead or crippled. Another instance was setting up KISS at the pepsi center. I had just got done unloading and hooking up 40+ huge butane cannisters behind the stage for pyrotechnics when a some sparks started a fire on the jumbo tron screen behind the stage directly above the tanks. Luckily a rigger climbed up in less than a minute with a extinguisher and only one hand climbed up there.
