@fardoon - It is refreshing to hear that you wish to discuss and attempt to understand the Ismaili's differing belief system and are simply not dismissing it with no wish to hear what we believe. I believe that more non-Ismaili Muslims should be as willing as you to talk about these different views. There is an article on Wikipedia under the name "Ismailism" which (whether written by an Ismaili or not) is very informative about the early split and divisions in Islam leading to the Ismaili branch

1- so basically you mean Allah is only present in the Holy Kabha?
2-tell me you do not need to tell someone basics it is obvious every human performs wudu before their prayers!
3-if we are suppose to do the prayer given by prophet how come shias follow 12 imams prayers?
4-where in the quran does it mention prayer five times a day?
5-who says we do not keep fast?donot believe in what you hear!
6-who says we do not do hajj? it has the same importance as it is to you!

Similarly, we are told to do Hajj, no Imam has told us Ismaili's NOT to do Hajj, and once again, if the individual decides not to do Hajj that is a personal choice and not representative of the principles of our Tariqah. We also give our dasond equating to 12.5% of our earnings, indeed some also give not only on earning but ANY money which they receive. Is this principle not almost identical to what other Muslims term zakaat?

I have nowhere in the Quran read that we must pray five times a day. Does it not say pray once at daybreak and twice at the going down of the sun? I think so. We are not absolved from fasting, we are told to and if unable for whatever reason to do so, se are to make up the days missed. If certain Ismailis decide not to fast that is their choice, but do not suggest that fasting is not an Ismaili principle.

  • @apy4ever

2- Before Ismailis make there Dua they do not make wudu(washing before prayer).
Ans: Wudu is must before you performing Namaz and Ismailis perform DUA.

Muslims were to pray 3 times a day in the Qur'an ([1]salat al-fajr at dawn; [2] salat al-esha at night [24:58]; [3] al salat al-wusta at midday [Qur'an 2:238]) after the Jewish three-fold pattern of prayers [shakharith, minkah, and arbith]) but the number of prayers was later increased to five (fajr, dhuhr, asr, maghrib, isha'a) to match the number of prayers (gahs) required by the Persian Zoroastrians

  • @soccastar786
    @soccastar786 16 років тому

And just as a counter to one of your points, the Qu'ran never states that all Muslims must pray 5 times a day, in fact it says that prayer should be kept at the two ends of the day and once in the evening. It was the Prophet (may his soul rest in peace), who told some of his most devout followers to stop praying throughout the day in order for them to earn their daily bread. He is then to have said that for those who want to pray extra, they can pray 2 times extra on top of the 3.

As you was kind enough to quote from Al-Kafi, I thought I'd do the same.
    1. All Imams are equal in rank and status to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w). (Al- Kafi, Vol. No. 1, Pg. 270)
    2. Follow the Imam when he is under the state of Taqi'ah. (Al- Kafi, Vol. No. 1, Pg. 40)
    3. Scriptures of God reveled to Imam. (Al- Kafi, Vol. No. 1, Pg. 176)
    4. We are the eyes of the God in his creature and the final authority in all human beings. (Al- Kafi, Vol. No. 1, Pg. 145)
Wouls you like more quotes ?

[Quran; 2:125] We have rendered the shrine (the Ka`aba) a focal point for the people, and a safe sanctuary. You may use Abraham's shrine as a prayer house. We commissioned Abraham and Ismail: "You shall purify My house for those who visit, those who live there, and those who bow and prostrate."
[Quran; 2:127] As Abraham raised the foundations of the shrine, together with Ismail (they prayed): "Our Lord, accept this from us. You are the Hearer, the Omniscient.

    3) There are 49 imams in my faith my friend, and it is not the prayer of Aga Khan, it is a prayer of Allah. There are many different sects of Islam, which is correct and which isnt is up to Allah to decide.
    4) If this isn't a preposterous lie, I don't know what is. A lot of Ismailis do fast, but our faith doesn't make it mandatory for us to do so, the reasons for which are so complex this is not the forum to discuss them.

@DONawshad Prophet Muhammad used to do 2 prayers in the morning, 1 at noon, and 2 in the evening which makes a total of 5.

    3. Our Du'a is composed by 6 surat (more than the amount of obligatory surat in the namaaz) and the only thing which is said about Aga Khan in the du'a is that he's our present IMAM (not god, the use of the word "Lord" is not referencing Allah but respect to Aga Khan as every culture did with their own kings or rajas...)
We do our Du'a 3times a day like our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did... (No time to do 5 prayers a day during wartime, so he used to do 2 in the morning, 1 noon, 1 evening)

5- They do not perform Hajj which every muslim must perform at least once if they are well enough and can afford to. instead its more important to them if they have a glimpse of Aga Khan in thier dream.

@AghaKKhan What are you talking about ? Aga Khanis never said that their Imam was a incarnation of anyone. It's true that the first INDIANS (there are more Syrian Ismailis) were Hindu converted to Islam through Ismailism. So the influence is only on the Tariqah (Culture) not in their faith. e.g. : Ginans (kind of Indian qasidas) is musically like Hindu prayers and are in a mix of Gujrati-Kachi. But the lyrics are pure devotion to Allah only. They must respect each 5 pillars as every muslim does.

You follow up your response with "you CLAIM to follow Maula Ali as your Maula.... yet none of the traits of the Maula are found in any of you" - I assume you meant religious rituals/ceremonies. In this case, I believe I have answered your statement with the below responses. If indeed you meant "traits" or 'characteristics' then your supposition is highly generalised and somewhat mis-informed. Mawla Ali was kind, generous, loving, etc.

    3. We also do the sajada (Which is obligatory) 6 times in the du'a !
    4. Ramadan is again, an obligation for every muslims... It's not because some Ismailis don't do it that it's not in the obligations of an Ismaili... (There are alot of other Shia that don't do Ramadan...) Don't generalize !
    5. Same ! Hajj is an obligatory and my ancestors did it (they are Ismailis)

said, My Umma will be fragmented into seventy-three sects, and all of them will
be in Hell fire except one sect. The companions asked Allahs messenger
which group that would be. Where upon he replied, It is the one to which I and

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had warned against "challenger nonsubmitter" but as I know as a Shi'a, the prophet (PBUH) said in Ghadir-e-kum that he was letting the holy Quran and his descendants behind him and Aga Khan is a living descendant of Hazrat Ali which gives him the power to guide us, not to rule us instead of Allah ! and we should all praise such enlightened individuals, not spread false accusations. Also, as another responder pointed out the Quran does not oblige us to pray five times a day, it indicates to pray once at sunrise, and twice in the evenings. If we like to pray more than the prescribed times we should do so without anyone telling us.The more prayers, the more closer we can hope to have a relationship with Allah S.W.T.

Why pointing the finger at them ? Let's take the example of Sufism. Don't you listen to qawali ? In Sufism, they have a spiritual master called Murshad (Sheikh/Pir) who is a link which takes roots in Muhammad (PBUH) and his cousin + son-in-law, Ali, who is held by Sufis to be the foutainhead of mystical knowledge.

    5) How many Muslims are there in this world, your own city that don't go on Hajj? Countless so don't try to claim otherwise. Do you know the reason muslims preform Hajj? It is because they want to get blessings from the prophet (p.b.u.h.) As the direct descendant of the prophet (p.b.u.h.) and hazrat ali (pbuh)...

We can't judge anyone because the judging is only meant to our creater Allah Swt but anyways when it comes to Islam, you can't necessarily claim that title of the being a "muslim" if you don't follow the five pillars that both Sunni & Shia Muslims normally follow.. Ismailis only follow one pillar which is Zakat and that Zakat goes only to there people.. Even based off research Ismailism & Ahmadiasm are attempts by great super powers to end Islam, both sects Islam popped up around the same time during 1800-1900, you can't trace them back further then that, and one of the biggest proofs of this plan is the fact that both sects of Islam forbid the idea of converting people into Islam, they will harm or kill any outsider who steps forth into there Mosques which is only the opposite of Islam, Islam is about peace, love, and equality and our job as Muslims is too spread our religion that's full of love as much as we can

Mazhar means the light (not the manifestation) go check wikipedia. So he said he's the light of Allah as he guides the people who are blind, ignorant or cannot read toward the path of Allah. (Symbolism : Light = guidance)

As salaam u alaikum brothers and sisters.I felt it necessary to respond to a few made by the uploader of this video. The person you are criticizing has spent over fifty years of his life to further the improvement of non-denominational humans across the world. Our hazir Imam believes in Allah as the sole creator and worthy of praise.

    1) isn't allah everywhere, dosen't he watch your every move?
2)yes we don't do wazu...we take showers b4 we come to pray, isn't that technically wazu? i mean in the old time ppl didn't have that facility, but now you do.
    3) Do you think allah cares how you are praying to him, as long as you are praying to him? right? and we do pray to allah. how many of you say your namaz 5 times a day? everyday? ok so we pray in the morning and in the evening, because that's when you can focus.

Lets not forget about Aga Khans extramarital affairs. The man committed adultery on numerous occasions. The Holy Quran specifically states to not commit adultery. So, my question is why do Ismailis think of him as a great and spiritual leader?

actually in Surah An- Nur it does say something about women covering their bosoms and such. in various tafseer it explains the reasons behind it; to subjugate women is not the intention of what Islam tries to say. moreso rather that the West has a different concept of what equality actually is. thus making many think that hijab inherently is a bad thing but its rather that people THINK its bad; its just a covering -.- whats more important, her inner qualities, arewhatshouldshow

We don't want you to have to accept Ismaili'ism, but we simply want mutual respect. As followers of the same faith, that's necessary for the world's problems to be solved.
Islam is a faith of questioning, so please ask as many questions about faiths and sects as possible, but unless you understand them fully, please don't base judgements on them.

The prophet said"It is probable that I will be called soon, and I will respond. So I leave behind me two weighty (very worthy and important) things: the Book of Allah (the Qur'an), which is a string stretched from the heaven to the earth; and my progeny, my ahl al-bayt. Verily Allah, the Merciful, the Aware, has informed me that these two will never be separated from each other until they meet me at the Fountain of Abundance. Therefore, be careful how you treat these two in my absence."

Its definiately unfair for people to label us as non-muslims just because we have a slightly different interpretation of the belief system in Islam. It is true that we believe our Beloved Hazar Imam to be the 49th Imam and direct descendant of the first Imam Hazarat Ali (SAS) who was undeniably (as we believe) appointed as the first Imam by the Prophert Muhammed (SAS) at "Ghadir-e-Kum" It was said by the Prophet himself "He whose Mawla I am, Ali is his Mawla" From this we have continued our...

What you're referring to comes from culture and hadith that contradict the Quran and God's true message. especially when it comes to treatment of women.
Furthermore, for Ismailis to say that the Quran is outdated and that the Aga Khan is the living replacement for the Quran is ludicrous. He was CHOSEN by his grand father. He's not God. Or was his Grandfather seen as a god that passed his godliness (estafurallah) to him.

The point isn't whether or not you physically clean yourself. The point that is being discussed, as per your assertion, is whether or not ablution can be done at home or the mosque, but the process in which Muslims are supposed to take in which to clean themselves physically before they proceed towards spiritual cleasing (ie. the prescribed prayers, salat). What Ismailis are doing is an innovation not approved by God.

Are u suggesting that none of the 15 million Ismailis worldwide possess any of these 'traits'? If so, I believe you have come into contact with individuals who believe themselves to be Ismaili but cannot truly be labelled so. And following this, you would seem to imply that Ismaili's do not possess the traits of Mawlana Ali, yet all other Muslims do... If you believe this, then again you are truly mistaken as no religion has followers who are all ideal.

    *********IMPORTANT***************
The Glorious Quran mentions in several verses, Obey Allah and obey His
Messenger. A true Muslim should only follow the Glorious Quran and the
Sahih Hadith. He can agree with the views of any scholar as long as they
conform to the teachings of the Quran and Sahih Hadith. If such views go
against the Word of Allah, or the Sunnah of His Prophet, then they carry no
weight, regardless of how learned the scholar might be.

Whoever leads the prayer, it is up to every individual to know the meaning behind their prayer, and recite it along with the leader.

    1. Ismailis Ka'baa while praying because it's never been an obligation... Ka'baa has become a Muslim symbol after our beloved Prophet (PBUH) made it a symbol... But it wasn't even built by muslims because Islam didn't exist at the time of its construction... But it's not FORBIDDEN to face Ka'baa !
    2. Wuddu is indeed an obligation of every muslim and I as an Ismaili do the wuddu before praying... (Don't generalize when you see Kafars)
