You’ve undoubtedly heard this a million times, but GEORGE BOWLS WHEELS. I couldn’t imagine facing him on a track like the Old Saw Mill. Also outstanding to see a resurgence from the boys and great to see this channel continue to diversify and grow. Keep up the great work
George reminds me of a footballer I’ve played against a few time, a right nasty bastard to play against but an absolute dream to have in your team, great spell of bowing, genuine opening batsmen scared to play against him
George is such a fantastic cricketer! Brilliant bowling - a joy to watch. Hate to say it but Wilson just isn't good enough anymore and shouldn't be playing
Batted Shareef. Sam Owen however ........ every week the worst possible start puts pressure on those to come. 6 balls in this week. Drop him down the order and get the Saffer up higher. Those flicked drives off his pads are sublime
Fantastic spell by George, shame about being forced to be taken off, but that's cricket. If you're looking for beautiful grounds, try Elham Valley CC. amazing setting, and decent groundsman too!
In regards to beautiful ground, Milstead CC in Kent is stunning (I suggest you google it). I cannot promise but if interest is taken I will do my very best to organise a midweek fixture there.
With ten overs to go and the oppo clearly shutting up shop George should have attacked with the field instead of the bowling changes. Wicket to wicket, make the number 10 play and stand in their vision but take the pace off the ball sometimes. Thought the batting was much better (Josh and Alex were on top form) and the team spirit was there. It has to be there when you are struggling too though. Enjoyable match
Good effort boys certainly had them in trouble with the ball and showed resilience with the bat. I think Tricky needs to be told to bowl fuller and give him protection straight. Also why is there rarely a fine leg?
9:49 - lovely on drive there. On another note, it's nice to observe that the Old Saw Mill is much more attractive this year thanks to there not having been such a profound drought.
Dan , someone needs to get into Tricky’s ear and tell him short stuff rarely gets wickets I always bowled with the mindset that you bowl at the stumps if they miss you hit . Keep up the good work love watching your vids, cheers lads . Ps George spoke Italian uno is Italian for one
T just got through his shot a touch early. Better position in the order for Shareef, though - he's a stroke-maker rather than a defensive opener, I think. More of a KP than a Boycott.
I think 90% plus of all club wickets are "given away"... I know mine always were, swinging for the fences, bowled to the straight slower ball every time... :D What's worse, I even knew it but still didn't do anything differently!
Really not intended as criticism but more an observation from someone who played cricket at varying standards for 30 years. When questions are asked why more games are lost than won, I think this is an area that will improve performance. It’s a change of mindset. Sell your wicket dearly, that’s all.
Dammm have a nice holiday I’m planning on coming to the last game of season at Worcester park and then hopefully stay around to watch the Sunday game to
Don’t like them rules to be honest , the Leicestershire league changed ours to straight win / lose and it’s makes the games so much more competitive teams don’t and can’t just bat out for the draw these rules make the better team get a draw which ain’t fair at times
We only play village league where we are, so we are 40/40 win lose, which I think is one of the stronger formats around at the moment. Though wouldn't mind trying a declaration match
@@ffgfhgf5232 Sounds like your 1st got sent to the 3rds team fixture!!! Either that or my school team still out their aiming for that first score over 20
Well that match was a pretty pointless exercise. Actually, calling it a "match" seems inappropriate. Better look for more suitable opposition in future.
Poor captaincy imo, can't complain about a team batting for the draw when every man is on the boundary for the set batsman and everyone in for the new one. You have to encourage the team to go for it, especially when they need 7,8,9+ an over
cupidstunt22 it’s actually quite flat - the telephoto lens foreshortened everything which exaggerates the reality. We had the pitch relaid a few years back - it really was wavy then, and had a noticeable “ridge” on a length! Now we have one of the best tracks around.
How does Wilson get overs in the first team??? The batsman need to have a bit of pride at the top of the order and apply them self better. Great videos but i prefer one fixed position for the game rather than moving around the ground.
The Grumpy Old Gamer under the new laws if any bowler bowls two waist high no balls in an innings they are automatically taken out of the attack for the duration of said innings. We had a spinner at our club bowl two no balls in a row at the start of his spell, both went for boundaries and he was taken out of the attack!
@@benchristmas1686 Unfortunately you're wrong Ben. That was the rule introduced last year, this year it was re-worded by the ECB that it is at the umpire discretion as to whether the delivery is dangerous to the batsman before a warning is issued. I'd say George's first delivery was not dangerous and therefore he should have only been warned for the second one. Hence meaning he should have been allowed to stay on. The rule was changed primarily to prevent exactly what you described happening, and particularly with reference to junior bowlers.
Oh is that right? I live and play out in Australia I hope it’s changed here too. Last thing you want is for the off spinner to get taken off when he’s bowling big full tosses 😂
The whole point of one-day cricket was originally to make the game interesting, by pressurising teams to compete to win...these rules do not achieve this...and frankly as a viewer the last third of this game was a total bore...I'd far rather see games played under rules which make dully playing out for a draw pointless...
Pathetic batting for a draw against the bottom side when you're 3rd in the league... Tricky needs to tighten up a bit, could be a phenomenal bowler! George is a beast, I would just retire hurt before even going out to face him! ;) Lovely team spirit and camaraderie from the Sanderstead boys! Hoping you can get just a bit of luck to get a couple of wins and turn the season around!
Agree on all counts - they should have gone for it as losing to us would cost them nothing other than 1 point. And they might have got there and created a sensation - life’s too short to bat out draws.
Whilst there may be little difference in points gained, there's a satisfaction in not just gifting your opposition a win. The rate was high and there were still fielders out, few catchers. Not exactly incentivising attacking shots which could have yielded an extra wicket or two.
@@SandersteadCCTV That was the tradition of cricket I grew up with. When I was young I did not quite get it. But by the time Slade were chart toppers me and my side whiskers were right in the groove.
What's with pitching the ball in your own half? Pathetic. Need a new skipper with a brain, opposition have shut up shop and you have sweepers out and no slips....!!!
That was some genuinely intimidating stuff from George, rarely see top order batsman jumping around like that.
He's developed massively since last season, IMO.
Chris Bell in the division below next season, George will take wickets for fun
"Tricky Wilson just needs to keep his end up" is my favourite piece of commentary since "the batsman's Holding the bowler's Willey"
Loved that opening spell from Jackson. A genuine quick using his pace to roughen them up and then get them out.
26:00 what a ball

Great spells from George there! Good to see Greg back in the fold.
19:07 - lovely delivery from Jackson. Lifted nastily for the batsman.
12:20 - better than most of England's shots so far today (though I must admit to having seen the British GP) ...
Quality Sunday morning content to watch over brunch.
Never thought I’d see the day you boys get over 200😂
Alex's cut shots are literally the best thing after Shareef's on drives. Pure class.
16:33 - every match needs some Benaud.
I love watching you guys. As a Yorkshireman, we know proper cricket and you guys make me love the game more.
Thanks, and great to hear!
Never like to see a beamer without an apology. Detracting from the rest of it which was great

I am really enjoying these sport fixes during the COVID panic. Many congratulations to the camera operator and the commentator.
Thanks! Glad you found us - hopefully we can bring some new cricket before the season ends.

pitch the fucking ball up Tricki!!
23:14 LBW only if the ball was starting to go down methinks?
Is there a 2nd grade? Tricky could do with a spell there. All over the shop
Probably trying to bowl too fast like most youngsters
Good effort boys certainly had them in trouble with the ball and showed resilience with the bat. I think Tricky needs to be told to bowl fuller and give him protection straight. Also why is there rarely a fine leg?

Is that Alex ranger who used to play for south hampstead ?
Did George just shout uno, a little bit of french! It’s Spanish! 😂😂😂
Unlucky draw lads but something to build on!! Up in Northumberland it was a wet one most games rained off :(
August 16th, I'll keep that noted
lovely thriller last over
I love watching shareef bat. (Sorry if I spelt his name wrong)
He’s very easy on the eye - and you spelled his name correctly!
I’m going back and watching all of your footage during quarantine. Love the content.
Ik this comment is very late but did u have a overseas in this season or will u have an over seas
I think sanderstead would have won that if George never got taken off the bowling such a shame a draw feeling like a defeat!
The l/h in the green helmet is pure class.
Who is jallen playing for?
That lbw at 22 mins was appalling. Bet the batsman went off and burnt his kit
I just dont understand how these umpires have no idea about where these deliveries hit the batsmen.
Wilson was most fortunate with that one after some indifferent deliveries.
Just an observation but despite the mid to late order heroics every Sanderstead wicket to fall was given away.
Food for thought.
True enough - I wonder what the % might be in club cricket in general? Genuine question...
I think 90% plus of all club wickets are "given away"... I know mine always were, swinging for the fences, bowled to the straight slower ball every time... :D What's worse, I even knew it but still didn't do anything differently!
My team give their wickets away every week. Rarely out to a genuine jaffa.
This is highlights. You don't see the dots which accumulate pressure to get the release shot. Unfair I think to say they were all giving it away

The LBW at 23:10 horrendous decision.
Keeper needs a long sleeve, should be copping weekly fines for the short sleeves.
20:29 - Longcock's a brilliant fielder in the deep.
4:07 that’s Spanish not french 🤣
Is it me or does it look like that pitch has a big wave in it, high at each end and a dip in the middle?
5 excellent wickets for Jackson.
Is there an upload today
Sam King no - but hopefully tomorrow. Also am on holiday next weekend!
Dammm have a nice holiday I’m planning on coming to the last game of season at Worcester park and then hopefully stay around to watch the Sunday game to
Bloody cricket can be a stupid game! The boys deserved too win that :( keep ya heads up fellas and the results WILL come.
Don't know why but Shareef's batting reminds me of Shai Hope.

Our game was so boring today we got 406-3 off 40 overs and got the other team out for 40
Blimey! You sure you played the right team? At least it wasn't the other way round.....

Not surprised my Tyler was too embarrassed to do a T's teas. I think he needs taking in hand and I know just the person to do it.

Doesn’t seem to affect play much...

Josh Westwood I use a Phantom Dark Edition
Shareef Hassan 👍🏻👍🏻
Umpire again an absolute disgrace. 2 shocking LBW decisions and Georges first no ball wasn't dangerous so why was he brought off.

23:10 terrible lbw decision.
Wonder what George had for breakfast to get him so fired up?
He usually chews on a bit of Tricki’s leg....
Id be embarrassed to claim that lbw in second innings let alone appeal for it was way to high.

Tricky needs week or 2 in the 2nds leaking runs for fun

Who scored more boundaries? I have it on good authority that you can use that to determine the winner :D
Somone tell trickey the idea is to hit the wickets which won't happen while he trys to bounce every ball
Where’s Yogi then not played past few games
Unfortunate for Shareef there. Not his fault.
Chris Bell he was looking great today
Same wearing a short sleeved shirt 🤔🤔🤔
Bank of England drew. Sanderstead lacked enterprise in the field.
