Oooo just thinking straight first then slow temp...... awesome...much better than gota stop soon👍🇦🇺
Very energetic video- love the human-focused examples. Relatable!! (I practice in our yard at sunset 😆).
Yes! Love that!
My pony always puts his haunches in 😆 at X
Loving your horses: can you make a video on bonding segment (new horses)?
Hi @norabea3552 - thanks so much! When you say a 'bonding segment (new horses)' - are you meaning when you get a new horse how to gain their trust and get a connection with them?
@@YourRidingSuccess …yes! My trainer noticed some students have been buying their horses sight unseen, creating challenges (not all can travel).
Glen, two rails on a train track.
This was excellent!! Hi Alicia!!! (It's Regi 😄❤️🐎) I love how you make this so simple. I am just starting to learn tempi changes so I can practice this! Thank you!
Throughout the lessons, one of the keys has been the 80/20 rule and the ability to stand in the stirrups around the horse. I just got back from the barn and sitting on my saddle on a saddle rack and thinking about all the great things you'd said and I realized something. If I lean slightly forward and simply stand up in the stirrups, it pushes my butt up, which pushes my torso foreward. But if I sit back really well, when I stand up, I simply stand up. I don't go forward because as the force moves upwards from my knees and thighs, it's pushed up underneath me, rather than behind me, forcing my torso forward. Am I right on this? The upshot is that if I fully commit to having my core and hips in front of my torso, I can simply standup for the rising trot or canter or whatever? Am I lost/
You nailed it!!
😂😂 Well the relax my horse does fast and easy 😂 if I have been riding for a while and ask my horse to relax he stops right away no matter what the tempo is 😂 ❤
love it!
This is very helpful and I love your videos! Is there any chance you could do a video about turns on the forehand?
Thanks!! I will add your suggestion to the list for a future video! Watch this space :)
Im gonna try that. Thank you for posting.
We would love to hear how you go :)
Love it! When will be next opportunity to win Luxe of London bridle😅?
There are always opportunities - especially for our members! Watch this space :)
Nice to see you posting again. I enjoyed your content and the training updates with mowgli. When everything went behind a pay wall I unsubscribed.
So glad you are enjoying the new videos!! What would you like to see more of in the future?
@@YourRidingSuccess can we get an update on mowgli? Otherwise any videos on improving the basics are great. Leg yields? Introducing shoulder in?
I will speak to Alicia and see what we can do - but love your suggestions!!
Wonderful question to ask. You explain everything so well
Thank you! :) What was your biggest take away from this video?
@@YourRidingSuccess every video is very important for my riding success
