It’s a good anime, it’s a good “only anime”, but I don’t think it’s a good “first anime”. It sets the bar too high and kinda ruin the experience of watching other anime. Not many anime is as good as AoT

For this show specifically, it's really good to remember names. The side characters you never think are important are sometimes super important and it adds to your experience if you do learn their names

Yes, they're titans. And there's anime for kids and for adults, just like with western cartoons too, all with varying degrees of potential gore or nudity. AoT is actually not that graphic overall, at least not the show. Hannes is a guard and family friend. His father, Grisha is a doctor. If you looked at the diagram, each of the walls have outcroppings, which contain the city districts, including Shiganshina that just got its gate breached in episode 1, while in episode 2 the gate on the other end, that of the third and most outer wall was breached, making them basically lose that entire territory. The whole territory that they have is basically the size of a country by the way, with forests, mountains, rivers, little villages, etc. The key is for the basement and "the main guy" is Eren. You heard his name at the beginning of the first episode from Mikasa. "The blonde kid's" (Armin) parents are dead. And right at that moment you asked that they explained that his grandparents, that he lived with, died with the people they sacrificed to ease the food situation.
A couple tips for maximum enjoyment:
- Don't watch the next episode previews. It will just spoil things that you'll see anyway.
- Some episodes have post credits scenes. It's generally advised to watch right until the "To be continued..." screen appears.
- Make sure to watch the OVAs "No Regrets" Part 1 & 2, as well as "Ilse's Notebook" after season 1. Some others should be done later as they contain spoilers. I'd also recommend Gigguk's "Attack on Titan in 9 minutes" here on YT after season 1.
- I would probably also avoid the intro videos, at least the visuals, as some of them can contain spoilers - especially in season 4.
- Do not look anything AoT related up, even if you think it is something mundane. This show is incredibly spoiler heavy with spoilers stretching from the first episode to the very last, 4 seasons down the line.
- Pay good attention. The show has a lot of small and easy to miss details, and every detail in this show is important. (And yes, you missed a lot already.)
- Most of the intermissions contain valuable contextual information.
- Be very careful reading comments. There are people who will, willingly or out of excitement, spoil things for you.
Sorry if some of it comes off a bit rude but if not even knowing the one name that's been thrown around several times throughout two episodes, will make it very hard for you to follow the plot and its details, because there's a lot more important names and details that will completely go over your head.

It will get you to question things. Things that should be questioned. It will get you to think about perspective. Choices. Emotions. Even life it self. Just be open minded and enjoy this story. Believe me when I say this. This story will be different everytime you come back to it. But the 1st watch is so special. Because it is unknown.

This anime in particular is the most realistic, our minds just refuse to believe that there are things this terrible, while today and in the past worse than that is happening to some people.
In the first episode Armin (Blonde kid) explains how his parents would venture beyond the walls. Thats how they died. Also at 24:59 they explain how there is a shortage of food so they send the refugees to die. Armins gramps was part of the group. It shows you Armin holding the gramps hat crying when you ask about his parents.

I have an Asus Tuf F15 it also has the disconnection problems it seems it does that with windows updates usually, mine automatically disconnects from wifi and bluetooth. I just make sure to enable all the services in msconfig and reinstall all the network drivers.

You have asked if every anime like this; no, definetely not every anime like this. But it's not brutal only to be a gory art, the brutality is needed so you can see from Eren's eyes and feel the same rage Eren have against the titans.
There are maybe handful of series in the ocean of anime, that always be remembered and adored by most of people and praised for the story, telling, animation, voice acting, sound design, soundtrack etc. for past decades and will be praised for decades to come. In this ocean, I think only 1/1000 of them are makes you remember them and maybe worth rewatching too. This is one of them. Enjoy the ride!
I just discovered Your channel and I seriously love Attack On Titan as Anime. I always like to give my favorite moments from episodes and I give a little bit of my non-spoilery insight occasionaly.
When it comes to episode 1- 14:20 In this scene we can see that Karla's legs weren't crushed by a rubble. Which makes her death even more tragic.😭
As for episode 2- 20:55 It's not a fire, but a steam. It's a theory of mine that every Titan is very hot from the inside. 😂Especially the biggest, skinless one- he was emitting so much steam!

1:01 Try troubleshooting. If that doesn't work update the wireless and bluetooth drivers in device manager. If neither works reset the network from settings. Hopefully one of those will work.

if you end up liking aot i highly recommend giving Arcane a try! It’s not an anime but it is amazingly animated and the art is incredible!!

This is the first anime show I watched start to finish. It was pretty awesome. Before, I'd only seen like Ghibli movies and random stuff they used to play on Adult Swim. This show really sucks you in. Its hard to watch just one episode.

I am very much a "slice of life" guy..particularly "Iyashikei" anime. To much horror, gore, violence in the world, I don't need that..When I watch anime..I just want to chill, turn off, and relax, de-stress...So I love..adore shows like "Super CUB", "Bocchi The Rock", "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid", "Non Non Biyori" and "Yuru Camp"..Dragon Maid does have some action scenes..but no-one dies....Plus I have recently visited many of the real life locations used in some of these shows...So I have become even more attached to them...I need it to stop the sorrow and grief in my head since losing my partner to cancer...And the characters from these shows have been there when I needed to calm my thoughts.
P.S..I am a sub..do not like dubs..they just don't do it for me...don't have the same feel of emotions I feel.

kudos for going with the sub. if you need to because you think you missed something, pause and rewind or rewatch episodes before you move on. If you are new to subtitled media and/or anime you're naturally going to miss things as you focus on reading the subs. The dub is decent for a dub, but it's not even in the same league of the original voice cast and the directing they got from the manga creator and the animation direction staff. The dub changed quite a number of things that I felt weren't in the spirit/timing of some major moments. Terrible choice for first anime though... I doubt many other shows will ever live up to it.
For the internet, you’re either too far from the router, or you guys don’t have enough bandwidth so it happens to kick your computer out because it’s using the biggest load. If it’s the latter you need to upgrade your internet speed. It could also be a bad WiFi card on your laptop. You can get an external usb WiFi adapter and see how that goes.

Oh Lord, imagine starting your anime journey with Shingeki no Kyojin. You have no idea what you're about to do to yourself. o_O This is beyond any shadow of a doubt the greatest anime of my generation. It is also extremely complex, and every episode will reward multiple viewings with new insights. Enjoy!
one thing i'd recommend doing is to show the subtitles so the viewers can see it clearly and lower the opacity for the rest of the video. that way we can also read the subs

14:19 Carla lied when she told Eren that her legs were crushed. Her legs were complete and she was even moving them while she struggled for the titan to let her go.
So she only said it so they would run and save themselves.
