Born in 1950, my dad bought out first TV in 1952 so he could watch Willie Mays in the summer and the Boston Celtics in winter. I feel cheated that there are only 20 questions. Not only did I know the titles, I can hum the theme songs and repeat the voice over intros to most of them.
All but one. Cheyenne. These were the bigger shows of the day but there were plenty of obscure ones that could have fooled more like SkyKing, Highway Patrol, Mr and Mrs Smith and Topper to name a few.
Yeah, that was a bad representation of Cheyenne. I don't remember him being a lawman, and if he was, it was only for one episode. It kind of threw me for a loop when I saw the star on Clint Walker's chest.
This was better than most but what happened with The Cisco Kid, My Little Margie, Queen for a Day, The Bob Cummings Shiw, My Friend Flicka, Sky King, Rin Tin Tin.....all great shows, wholesome, good family entertainment.
You are correct - a lot of great family entertainment during the 50's - We are always researching and planning more fun - we'll add this to the list for future videos - thank you for your comment and thank you for watching .
You are correct - good catch - - it's hard to isolate a lot of the popular TV shows/series to one decade and it's great when they continue for multiple decades.
I thought I got them all, but I said "Make Room for Daddy," rather than "The Danny Thomas Show." I'm going to take it as a win, anyway. Hey, at least I didn't say "Make Room for Grandaddy," the remake!
I don't miss them. They're kind of sappy to watch. What I think we feel is nostalgia for a simpler time and a safer one. We were allowed to go anywhere we wanted, mile away, 2 miles. Can't do that today and everyone is so scared all the time it's a shame.
18/20. Notice that these shows, in addition to being mostly stupid (OK not "Gunsmoke") were often misogynist, patriarchal ("Father knows best" - huh?), racist, classist, and whatever else -ist you care to name. I spent my childhood watching this crap, and believing this was how normal families were.
20 out of 20!
I wish T.V. would make shows like these, and many others, again.
Good wholesome family shows.
Likewise - I watch more online than regular TV. Thanks for watching and playing.
Not only did I watch Howdy Doody show, I was actually on it and sat in the Peanut Gallery!
Lucky you!! Can’t you just hear the kids singing that song - “It’s Howdy Doody time”?! Wonderful memories.
That is cool! Must have been fun.
The Danny Thomas show was I think was originally called Make room for daddy?
Yes it was and after three seasons the name of the show was changed, great memory!
Yes it was.
All 20 , that's how old I am! I remember Zorro was all my friends' favorite. One would shout It's time for zorro! WE would all run back home to watch.
Great score and thanks for sharing your Zorro memory.
Sadly I'm old enough to not only name them, but to have watched all of them at one time or another....some every week.
Thank you for watching and playing
Don't forget reruns.
@@1950Grendel Reruns were the best - no recording devices needed then.
December Bride, My Little Margie, Sky King, Rin Tin Tin, Topper, Ida Lupino and Howard Duff
Got all 20, I've watched every one of them multiple times. Yeah, I'm old.
19/20 The golden age of television!!!!!!
I agree - I never tire of the classics. Thanks for watching!
I join u

That's a cool story - thanks for sharing that memory.
all of them
Boy ami old! I remembered all of them--
Wow! Thank you for playing along.
All but one. Cheyenne. These were the bigger shows of the day but there were plenty of obscure ones that could have fooled more like SkyKing, Highway Patrol, Mr and Mrs Smith and Topper to name a few.
Wow - great score! Cheyenne was a new one for me too. Lot's of great TV came from the 50's and 60's - thanks for playing along.
To this day I eat Peter Pan peanut butter because of Sky King!
Don’t forget Ding Dong School; Merry Mailman; Captain Kangaroo; Kukla, Fran, and Ollie; and so on
Yeah, that was a bad representation of Cheyenne. I don't remember him being a lawman, and if he was, it was only for one episode. It kind of threw me for a loop when I saw the star on Clint Walker's chest.
I was a little perv when I was a kid. Loved to watch Sky King just for Penny and her torpedoes.
This was better than most but what happened with The Cisco Kid, My Little Margie, Queen for a Day, The Bob Cummings Shiw, My Friend Flicka, Sky King, Rin Tin Tin.....all great shows, wholesome, good family entertainment.

@@triviALLfacts No problem, can't do all the shows in one setting. I remembered most of those wholesome shows.
@@jefffrayer8238 thank you for watching!
I loved all those too, esp Sky King & Annie Oakley!
We don't know every TV series from 1950 til 1959. There were too many of them. But let's try TV series from the 1940s.
Got them all. Man I've watched too much television in my life.
Great score - at least you watched great television! Thanks for playing.
I clicked on this video because my grandmother loves the show I Love Lucy and I wanted to see if this had it.
Thanks for watching!
I got almost all of them right except for Cheyenne and Our Mrs Brooks! 😁😁😁

My Filipino-born wife missed only four. I’ve taught her well during our 16 years together. 😂
That's great! Thank you for watching and playing.
I was 18 for 19 (the poster forgot one). I missed "Our Miss Brooks". I never saw that one, but I love Eve Arden. I was surprised that I got Cheyenne.
Hey - great score - I wasn't familiar with "Our Miss Brooks" either and like you I am a fan of Eve Arden.
Hi, I missed two. That proves I watched much too much TV when I was young.
Sped it up 2x. Still easily named them all.
Got 15 out of 20.
That's Super!
All but one, Life of Riley
Nicely done! Thank you for playing and watching1
Some of these shows were more 60s such as Maverick & many spanning 50- 60s. I believe Gunsmokw spanne 50s- early 80s
You are correct - good catch - - it's hard to isolate a lot of the popular TV shows/series to one decade and it's great when they continue for multiple decades.
easy. its good to be old.
LOL! We had great TV!
Missed one (Cheyenne)

In our area, the sponsor for "The Life of Riley" was Schwartz spices and Java Dates. I think this was regional sponsorship.
