My father passed away last week . I received a beautiful bouquet that I want to preserve along with the cards of condolence. I want to do this with the flowers project . Thank you Robert, this was so beautifully explained, and I can't wait to do my own project in honor of my father.
+Marie Leonce Sandrine Niyomugabo so sorry to hear that Marie. Hope the project serves as a good touchstone for you to connect with him in spirit. Hugs to you!
So sorry for your loss, what a beautiful idea! You sound like a wonderful daughter and I'm sure your father is very proud of you. Good luck in the future Sister! For my 17th birthday -many years ago-, I was given a handmade card with a pressed carnation by my Grandmother Eilee, I still have it and cherish it.
Best pressed flower art video I’ve seen on UA-cam. It’s so calming watching you explain how to do it and it has encouraged me to try this when other videos does the complete opposite
Robert your kind voice hath charm to soothe the savage beast. The DIY videos are wonderful but your voice is the best. My Mom has passed but she would be a big fan, as I am, were she still here. We all know you as the best and enhanced by your manner and voice. Thank you for all you do. Jim
I love how thoughtful you are to all the mom's and love your creativity. Thanks for this fabulous video. Have a great day and most of all please be safe.
Thank you beautiful soul. This is amazing! I am currently surrounded by dry blooms just dying to be made into something totally different that will last many times their usual lifespan. I’m so excited. Glorious idea thank you so much for sharing!
Love everything about this video. And yes, Robert's voice is wonderful. Elegantly explains all parts of the process without hype and with perfect details. I will certainly look forward to his other videos and craft projects.
Loved that your voice was so soothing, well-paced and clear, but the video was short and simple. I definitely finished the video feeling like I could do this myself.
Robert's videos is the reason why I subscribed to this channel! I absolutely love his ideas and the way he talks to the viewers!! Definitely gonna sub to his channel now!
This is such a great video!! I think im going to use this idea but on small canvases and seal it in with mod podge, and maybe do 1 alphabet on each canvas to spell out "home". Could work as a center piece on a wall in my room!
This is a lovely idea, think it would be a nice present for a new baby too. I struggle to press flowers well, so will look up pre-pressed ones online. Thanks Robert! :)
Thanks for this wonderful idea Robert! I made four of these today :) Took some practice and they didn't come out as beautiful as yours, but, they will be great gifts nonetheless!
Another one of your so elegantly smart projects, love it sooo much! I think I'm going to create a similar one, but with my own special twist and use dried rose petals...
These are really beautiful Robert! Unfortunately its still snowing where I am but my moms birthday is in July so something like this will be perfect! I also really like how you respond to comments! Great Job!!! Love your crafting :)
I didn't quite see anything in the comments. First I wanted to say this is by far the best pressed flower gift idea I've found yet. I'm unfortunately pressed for time, I have a flower from the funeral of my Moms brother, so I would like to get started asap. I had a question though - How long will the pressed flowers last before decaying? Or do you know of a method that's better for preserving a pressed flower? I want these to last considering they're from a funeral. Thank you.
love this video! And the color shouldn't fade as long as I keep out of sunlight? I've heard about mod podg-ing, but I imagine it would give a weird sheen to the flowers (and may look tacky?).
Do you, or anybody else know if you still need to cut the paper if you're only putting the flowers on the matting part of the frame? I'm planning on framing some special flowers for my fathers birthday but I also would like to include a photo. Thank you for your help!
Hi Robert, Thank you for the wonderful video. I have recently taken some flowers from an arrangement I received and pressed them as you illustrate. My problem after pressing them for 3 weeks is that the color is gone from the flowers. Can you comment on what I did wrong? thank you!
