If you want the true American experience, visit places where it isn’t flooded with tourists (NYC LA DC). Come visit Texas, Georgia, Wisconsin, Washington, or Ohio. All great states with great hospitality, while still having notable attractions, sports teams, and the food that you’re looking for. It’ll also save you lots of money and will be a more authentic experience.
Please do come and experience all of that!! (When things are safe of course) things won't be exactly like the movies I must say, but a good way to see a lot of locations with good ol American history and culture is the famous Route 66 roadtrip

I lived in the USA and I can ensure you that most things are overrated - I been to lesser known parts of the USA to the most popular parts. Most cities are like 3rd world country in appearance- probably worse? It’s only the tourist parts that’s way nicer which it isn’t much - and most national forest lacks wildlife. Hell, I take Canada or Latin America natural forest - since it’s way better - over the USA anytime. Anyway, probably that’s just me and my opinion but many other would disagree usually because of bias. But I’m not saying is all that bad though. Just that people gives it tons of credit and most acts like it’s the best place in existence to live.

I've visited, camped, and driven through 28 US states. Now I go to Europe every year. Everytime I came home (USA) I've always thanked God for letting me being a very lucky and proud US citizen. Compared to world; we, as Americans have so much to thank for. God bless USA.

The thing is, our tourism industry focuses too much on the main cities and not on our natural wonders. Try showing your kids videos of what the US has to offer. The USA is such a beautiful country. As a Canadian, I am always blown away by how much the US has to offer. It has tropics, deserts, basically every climate you can imagine all within its borders. Numerous developed cities with lots of opportunities as well. America gets so much shit from the rest of the world (including by Canadians) but I would love to live in the US.
The reason why we get so much shit in America is because of our horrible political system. Most people and our landscapes are absolutely beautiful and America has so much too offer for travelers. It sucks our so called leaders give its citizens a bad name, but then again I can say the same for many nations around the world.

I feel very lucky to live in Utah. I’ve got easy access to mountains, lakes, forest, desert, 5 national parks, beautiful landscapes.... it’s a very unique place to live. I’d recommend visiting it if you come the USA.
It has taken me over 60 years to travel the USA. Only 4 states to go and I will have been to all 50. Having been fortunate to have traveled in 12 countries in Europe and South Africa, The USA still is number one in my book.

The thing is, our tourism industry focuses too much on the main cities and not on our natural wonders. Try showing your kids videos of what the US has to offer. The USA is such a beautiful country. As a Canadian, I am always blown away by how much the US has to offer. It has tropics, deserts, basically every climate you can imagine all within its borders. Numerous developed cities with lots of opportunities as well.
America gets so much shit from the rest of the world (including by Canadians) but I would love to live in the US.
The reason why we get so much shit in America is because of our horrible political system. Most people and our landscapes are absolutely beautiful and America has so much too offer for travelers.

I feel very lucky to live in Utah. I’ve got easy access to mountains, lakes, forest, desert, 5 national parks, beautiful landscapes.... it’s a very unique place to live. I’d recommend visiting it if you come the USA.
