New Patreon member here, not too far away from you in Michigan. I found you via my other YT membership, TrailRecon (Brad), specifically your walk around video. Let me just say that your videos are inspiring, not only to get out and enjoy adventure and Gods’ creation, but to slow life down. Working a hectic schedule in technology, and just letting life get muddied up with nonsense, your videos are refreshing to me. I pray they help me slow my own life down, enjoy the moment, the small things that later become ‘big things’, and family ‘that’ much more. As an avid Jeeper, I hope to get out as our kids get a little older and enjoy a little of what you show us through the lens. I hope my minimal monthly contribution helps to that endeavor. Bless you all, safe travels, and we’ll see you in the next one!
My Dad used to take me on road trips as a kid in the late 80's in his XJ. He passed away this February on Valentines day from covid-19. I was looking for a way to honor him and thought the best thing I could do was find another XJ and travel with it, so that's what I did. I hope he's with me in my future Jeep travels and that they are as Epic as all of yours. Thank you for not only the great content but for the inspiration that you give.
David, I'm sorry for your loss and yes your dad is with you at your side. I'm sure your Jeep adventures will be as Epic as our favorite Epic Family road trips have been. If you ever need any pointers on your XJ (Mods, Fixes....) you can find me on overland bound or the Jeep Mafia.
I absolutely love what y’all as a family are doing ! Makes me jealous honestly lol, I would absolutely 100 % love to do this with my family. But for now for us it’s short trips here and there. Love the way y’all present everything and do it as a family showing other families things they may never get to see ! Thank y’all for sharing your precious memories with us 👍👍
Haha, Suds is my home town. I delivered all over Manitoulin and it is very beautiful...really holds a place in my heart. The people there are 1 of a kind and so welcoming. You should really try to explore more of northern Ontario as it has sooo much to offer. Old mining sites, old damns and bridges, and a huge amount of clear water lakes and rivers. With that being said, Utah is our biggest bucket list for overlanding and offroad destinations. Can't wait and until our day comes, we will keep enjoying your videos! Thanks again :)
I absolutely love what y’all are doing and what you stand for, wholesome family values! I would also like to applaud Caroline for her cinematography, she should definitely be proud of her work because it doesn’t go unnoticed! Safe travels from NW Florida. 🙏🏻
How can anybody put a Thumbs down to this family.... says it how it is.. up for any adventure enjoying life .. Oh how envious am i here in UK wishing i could do this... great work keep it up...
I have to say that your channel is by far my fave! Very inspiring to show what you can do with your family during these crazy times! Thank you so much for sharing part of your lives with us!
If you guys are heading back to Elkford, BC in the next couple of weeks you should also maybe check out some of the country just over the mountains towards Cranbrook. Places like the Bull River, White River, etc. Lots of great places back there like Summer Lake, Monroe Lake. You can even loop back into the Columbia Valley off Bull River FSR, White River, and Whiteswan FSRs and checkout Findlay Creek, Whitetail Lake, Bear Lake (off Lavington FSR). So many places out here. :)
My daughter was wondering where Caroline has to sleep! 😄 Say, you all should get a couple UV style flashlights and at night see if you can find any Yooper Lights. They were originally found in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan off Lake Superior and to-date is the only place found. It would be neat if you found any up that way along those small lakes and rivers.
To think that just a few generations ago the majority of people rarely traveled more than 200 miles ( or 321.8 kilometers ) from their place of birth. If I take anything out of this pandemic it's that it has forced me to rediscover the natural beauty of my home state. Safe travels Perry. PS like the new hat's!!
Just took the family camping! And you'll be pleased to know I was inspired by your culinary skills and moved away from burgers and sausages! Started with a spag bolognese! 👌👍
Great video as usual !! You guys should do a Winter Season at your Cabin this year, skidooing, ice fishing, snowshoeing, staying warm by the fire, snowstorms, etc. It would be an Epic Challenge for any Family ! OffGrid Ont Canada Winter. 🌲🇨🇦❤️
I dont know how you guys cope with moving around all the time. Some of the places you stay the night at like this one I just couldn't bring myself to leave😂...perfect place to just relax and get away from it all! Love the video! Favourite channel to watch on UA-cam by a long way! Thanks guys!!
Hi there. Usually when we’re done filming we stay an extra day and just chill. Thanks for watching and we are super proud to be your favourite channel. Have a wonderful day.
Enjoyed the episode! We are bouncing around inside our Atlantic Bubble this summer, will stay at home in Nova Scotia exploring the 13000+ kms of coastline. We did the Trans Lab Hwy in September of 2018, counterclockwise, and enjoyed all 4200 kms of it it from start to finish. Safe travels to you all.
Can’t wait till things open up again. In the meantime the Atlantic bubble isn’t a bad place to be stuck 😀. Such a beautiful area. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day.
Another epic trip into great country. I’m from Oz and it’s always amused me to hear people from your part of the world avoid the word ‘toilet’. It is replaced with ‘bathroom’ (even though there’s no bath in sight); ‘restroom’ and similar. Sometimes we say ‘dunny’ and ‘loo’ and few others. I have noticed on other UA-camr videos that an interesting site is watermarked with the GPS coordinates. Is that something you could do for your fellow travellers? I look forward to more of your productions. Cheers.
As always such great videos and content!!! Carlolin you do an amazing job of editing, and out of the back of a Jeep no less. Peter thumbs up for the Mulletman coffee mug!!!! Lando looked like he had a great time scouting and sleeping on the beach!!
Would love to see a video on your lifestyle with your dog! Would love to understand where he sleeps, and what you guys do when there are areas that don’t allow dogs. 🙃
My wife and I did the trans lab highway last june. Took our tacoma with an rtt. We are leaving in a month to do as much as we can of the lake superior circle tour. Cheers from hensall Ontario.
Loving the channel. Two questions. 1. Will you make a “behind the scenes” episode that shares all the incredible work you do to film your adventure? 2. Who makes the reinforced pants? Thank you!
How do you know, that I had eaten during watching this video? :) It was delicious! I mean both: video and food. Thanks for your mom for cooking. Such shots are looking good in your video! Have a great travel!
Awesome video! Lando is so cute! Bouncing around like a little rabbit like my Jack Russell in the snow 😂 ... filming and audio are great. So is the content. Keep up the good work!!
Fun seeing the Manitoulin Island area; cruised around there by sailboat in the late 90s, having sailed up from SE Wisconsin. Passed under the bridge at Little Current and continued east to Killarney. Surprised you haven't been there for the fish & chips, or is that a thing of the past? Headed west? Feeling like September here in NW Montana; fire in the wood stove this morning.
That’s a beautiful area to sail a boat. We are probably going to Killarney to get fish and chips at Herbert’s this weekend. It’s still there but the old bus is gone and it is now a restaurant. We hope to be heading west within the next couple of weeks. Still hot here in the east. Thanks for watching and hope you have a wonderful day.
GORGEOUS AREA , COLORS , SCENERY , VIDEO VIEWS ! BEAUTIFUL CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER ! SO THE SUMMIT SERIES CVT TENTS ARE MORE FOUR SEASON TENTS ? Wow, I live 5 minutes up the road in Silverwater! I've ridden those trails all of my life with both my dirtbike and my sleds growing up! Beautiful land but unfortunately there is a protected thistle in that park land, and the tree huggers usually chase people off of the land and nobody gets to enjoy it. Nice to see you guys made the best of it! The island has soo many hidden gems to explore.

Interesting video your almost in my back yard. I'm from northern Michigan and its sad I spent 20 ish minutes looking for the island your on to find out your on the other side of the border lol if you ever come back to this side of the lake you should try out Drummond Island. Marble head and fossil ledges are fun places to head out to.
@@OldGriz708 Oh yeah it is from my friend tells me the time I went we just missed it. My friend loves going up to the island he goes two or three times a year. We are planning a trip for next year. He wants to see what my JK can do lol it should be interesting.
If they would just open the border, we would head over there. Drummond Island sounds awesome. Do you take a ferry or is there a bridge? We look forward to exploring more of beautiful Michigan especially the UP.
@@EFRT It's a ferry ride over from De Tour Village. Its a lot of fun lots of different trails some rock crawling some mud lots of water "well when I was up there". And the U.P. has a lot of nice places to go around to.
Careful those colorful toes don't get chewed on by a big pike! Hope you didn't lose any gear. In your closing footage I noticed the gear on the roof rack was loose. Great camera work and editing!
Really enjoying your travels. We’re just about to purchase a truck for conversion to an adventure vehicle and we’re really excited start exploring. Would you consider making a video on how you find such remote trails and how you know whether they’re navigable?

He adapted to travel wonderfully. He started with us when he was a very small pup and got used to it right away. Have fun with your dog. I’m sure he/she will enjoy hitting the road with you. 🐕❤️
Have you considered the James Bay Rd and the Trans-Taiga Rd? You have a good head start to there. We unfortunately, would have to drive an extra 7 hours. Just food for thought.
Until now we hadn’t heard about it but we are seriously looking at doing that before we head west. Thanks for the suggestion. What’s your name? We’ll give you a shoutout in our video if we end up going. 👍🏻
We were out near a place called burnt island. You can find it on Apple Maps, just drive out to the end of the road and you’ll find some nice camp spots along the lake. Have fun.
I truelly love your adventure... Heart heart for this.. From philippines. And my name before is john michael purificacion i change my name so im number 1 fan of yours..
do you( family) have a regular workout routine while on the road ? if so i would love to know what, if any equipment you bring with that aids in your workouts. thanks for the great content look forward to your new videos every week.
Really Beautiful territory there. Thank you for sharing your adventures, I do have a question though. What type of heating do you use if any in the tents when it’s cold and or snowing? thanks and many safe travels.
Epic Family Road Trip Ok thanks! I am going to get a RTT for my Jeep and wonder what would be safe to use in a tent for heat if anything other than just bundling up really good lol. Thank you so much for your reply.
My wife’s dad lives in P.E.I and we weren’t able to go visit him and her family there this summer either. And the family property is in my wife’s name but we don’t live on the property so we had to cancel our 2 week trip to go visit. Hopefully next year things are better for travel to the East Coast.
First of all, I've really enjoyed your videos. I'm inquiring about your cvt roof top tents, whats the weight on the 1 the kids use & the weight of the cvt summit. Keep the videos coming, b safe & happy holidays!🐊😎🍻🤙
Awesome video guys. I have a question that has me worried with my Jeep, What is the weight limit on your rig? I have a RTT and all my stuff but feel like it has slowed down my Jeep but your appears to have more stuff and move alone fast. Is there a limit? Do you fee it on the highway? Feel free to mention it on your next awesome video thanks 😊 🇨🇦
Kind of an obscure question, but I noticed that you have what looks like an SPOD touch screen mounted in the JK low down on the A pillar. Did you use the standard RAM A pillar 1" ball and just sort of force it to screw into that spot? The only one I've found is supposed to go in the upper corner but I have Grab-Bars grab handles up there. I like what you have done so if you could lemme know how you mounted that, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!!
On one of your episodes on your newer jeep you have put on 37" tires with a 4 inch lift did you have to do anything with the gear changing? This is something I would like to do to my 2017 Jeep Wrangler but i am feeling unsure about it would love your advice thanks so much!
Hi there. We actually haven’t changed the gears on the jeep yet and it hasn’t been a problem. If we do stick with the 37 inch tires then we will probably re-gear at some point.
@@EFRT You know, when you've been (mostly) in your house for five months today, the little things count! :-) Hoping to hit the road for a month or so this fall... if state COVID regs allow it...
Is that a GPS collar for Lando? Now while Lando has his own back seat to sleep in, I find myself looking at a camping trailer since I have 3 (100lb Plus) pups that I will be taking out on some road trips. I had Kodiak and White Ducks Canvas Tents in mind, but those HQ Black Series Trailers look really good. Have you ever had the need to setup a Bear Fence around your camp in the past? One more question if you don't mind - this is for the very talented Editor - Caroline - Do you use any Portable Internet Connectivity options for extended off the grid use?
Thanks for answering the commonly asked questions.. I always wonder where Lando and Caroline sleeps esp when your family has a couple, 2 guys and a girl.. 🤔

Takes you to Long Point(I think) on James Bay. I'm not sure but travel to Quebec should be ok?
I love your channel and videos. Where exactly on Manitoulin did you stay? Absolutely gorgeous!
We were out near a place called burnt island. You can find it on Apple Maps, just drive out to the end of the road and you’ll find some nice camp spots along the lake. Have fun.
Thank you for the Q&A. I would like to know more about suspension. How do you build the Jeep to handle the weight and still drive level?
I truelly love your adventure... Heart heart for this.. From philippines. And my name before is john michael purificacion i change my name so im number 1 fan of yours..
Love your channel and watching all your adventures! Just curious if you guys ever fight or get sick of each other? 😂
do you( family) have a regular workout routine while on the road ? if so i would love to know what, if any equipment you bring with that aids in your workouts. thanks for the great content look forward to your new videos every week.
Really Beautiful territory there. Thank you for sharing your adventures, I do have a question though. What type of heating do you use if any in the tents when it’s cold and or snowing? thanks and many safe travels.
We use the little portable propane heaters from “Mr. heater.” 👍🏻
Epic Family Road Trip Ok thanks! I am going to get a RTT for my Jeep and wonder what would be safe to use in a tent for heat if anything other than just bundling up really good lol. Thank you so much for your reply.
It was nice meeting you guys. Where abouts in the west end was that site located? Looking forward to more videos!
Hi Chad, great to meet you too. The camp spot was near Burnt Island and along Burnt Island Bay. Have a great day.
♥️ 👍
My wife’s dad lives in P.E.I and we weren’t able to go visit him and her family there this summer either. And the family property is in my wife’s name but we don’t live on the property so we had to cancel our 2 week trip to go visit. Hopefully next year things are better for travel to the East Coast.
Buen vídeo. Saludos desde Perú
Thanks for watching in Peru 🇵🇪
Thanks!!!
❤
On one of your episodes on your newer jeep you have put on 37" tires with a 4 inch lift did you have to do anything with the gear changing? This is something I would like to do to my 2017 Jeep Wrangler but i am feeling unsure about it would love your advice thanks so much!
Hi there. We actually haven’t changed the gears on the jeep yet and it hasn’t been a problem. If we do stick with the 37 inch tires then we will probably re-gear at some point.
never been first before!
I had no idea what the excitement of being first was all about until I saw the post 1 minute ago, no comments, and thought, "hey, I can be first!" :-)
Awesome! Yes you are the first. High fives from us. 🙌🏼
@@EFRT You know, when you've been (mostly) in your house for five months today, the little things count! :-) Hoping to hit the road for a month or so this fall... if state COVID regs allow it...
Saludos desde Chile amigos
I wish im one of ur family🥺 keep safe💖
