Here in Arizona those bales go between 8-10 dollars depending how much and how long the rancher has had them and the market conditions. I could never afford to buy these bales when they weigh about 60-70 lbs and I can buy 110-120 lb bales for 14-16 dollars depending on market conditions. They are way too expensive and one bale feeds my two horses for a day. That's not very economical for me. I know people who buy them because they can't stack or lift the heavier ones. I like that walk behind fork lift. That would be neat in my barn with the breezeway braces being in the way of using a tractor to stack hay.

@@iowANFarmer you have to use wire the size of jumper cables from the battery to the receiver and and from the receiver to the pump motor with a disconnect at the receiver like a pig tail. Then everytime you hook up to the trailer you have a steady supply coming from the battery and alternator. This works for my uncle's tandem axle 20ft dump trailer.

It will probably not be worth running heavy gauge wire directly from the truck. Just use it as designed and put something there to protect the battery. You could run a small trickle charger to the battery off of the truck's pigtail wiring harness if it already is not set up that way.
