Nicely worded! I remember trying to learn this one or, "It's been a long time cousin" like 16-17 years ago and i was shocked at how "basic" the licks were. Just really simple, almost beginner rock licks, but played insanely fast and furiously and grouped together in really weird ways.
...and i have to add, few people can make those simple rock licks sound so incredibly ferocious like Zach can.I admire him even more for his ferocity and power than i do for his actual skills. Same for Gabe Serbian. I was really happy reading your comment because you had come to the exact same conclusion that i had and you worded it much better than i could have.
this shit is incredible... you can tell they recorded it in the same room all at the same time cause you can hear the guitar any time zach stops or lets up a bit
could this be done with other tracks, i always wanted to hear what it sounded like. Loved the result, zach's drumming is just fantastic, there's no comparison.
There is a video of just his kick foot for an entire song. "Zach Hill raw footwork" The audio is god-awful but if it doesn't answer your question nothing will.
zach here thanks guys
Can I have your autograph in text form?
This rocks. Also I’m gay
My husbands boyfriend adores you
@@C0nniethat’s gay. also im gay
best single stroke, non jazz/ classical based drummer i've ever heard. he really takes rock technique and pushes it to its absolute limit.
not ALL single strokes, but nothing based heavily in rudiments either
he uses a lot of paradidles and double strokes on his feet
Nicely worded!

*best linear drummer
playing along with this on guitar is so fucking hard
that's so interesting because its actually easier drum to the isolated guitar track
@@nicholasrodriguez1359I think that makes sense the solo guitar part is a lot more sensible what’s going on composition-wise
if your playing along to this and you get lost there is no hope
not when youve heard the song 800 times!
this shit is incredible...

Nah, not really. It’s just how audio separation works mostly, unless this guy got a hold of the original tracks
@@polar8205 i was going off of the assumption that this was the original stem
@@daddy8914 "isolated using izotope rx7"
regardless of the isotope seperation, i do believe that would've at-least tracked scratch takes together.
@@allyemeraart all the duo albums were tracked together, without a click
yea.... gonna sample this
YES
Yeaah
good luck kek
good idea
is there any way to isolate the guitar as well?
Yes.
Now upload it with the St Anger snare.
could this be done with other tracks, i always wanted to hear what it sounded like.

human constructs is a human construct I know I’m late but there’s a tab that exist on 911 tabs go look it up
the right hand looks angrily at the left hand and says "i have to do twice as much work"
it's like a fairly simple pattern, but he's shifting this extra 16th note around everywhere
im working on one
how does he do the kick?
one pedal
There is a video of just his kick foot for an entire song. "Zach Hill raw footwork" The audio is god-awful but if it doesn't answer your question nothing will.
1:02 I heard a piece of guitar. You have no honor.
"Hella"? More like "Hell nah".
i hear the guitar anyway
Seems like they recorded the guitar and drums simultaneously, and Spencer's loud ass guitar got picked up by some of the drum mics
@@michelmarcel7591 andy? spencer seim is the guitarist in this era of hella.
@@spongemanhere thanks for spotting that! Fixed it
@@michelmarcel7591 These were separated using software, so removing the guitar completely is impossible. You just hear residual guitar.
That's good tho i lose track of where we are In the song 😅
