Kevin Hayes was a lot of times invisible in St. Louis. I could be watching nearly a whole game and hardly hear his name and this happened multiple times. He was good on faceoffs and he could hold onto the puck well once he had it, but that's about it.
If any of our young kids make the team sooner than expected we are gonna not be fun to play against. Still prolly not a playoff team, but it will at least be entertaining. Think we can contend for a wildcard spot, especially if binny/hofer play lights out.
They paid a lot to get rid of him. It sometimes takes a player a year to settle into a new team. I don't think the Blues are going anywhere this year, and I would have been all right with keeping Hayes another year to see. I think Bannister didn't like him and told management to get rid of him.

Bedard being the shooter, Terravainen being the playmaker and Bertuzzi being the puck retriever/energy player, it should be one of the most exciting lines in hockey this year.
Winnipeg almost had a ? next to them too, since Chevy also said he wants the young players to step up and earn NHL ice time, but we lost Brossoit and now the 2 goalies we picked up will be fighting for that backup spot over the course of the season. We were so lucky to have both Hellebuyck and Brossoit, but obviously Brossoit deserves a spot on a team where he'll see a lot more ice time rather than being stuck behind a 2-time Vezina winner. I know Comry has struggled, but it's tough to hate on such a nice guy. Go Jets!

Walman.. eventhough his defensive game could lack at times, really showed up for big moments. Didn't he have like 3-4 OT winners this past year? He was definitely an offensive defenseman, but he was average to slightly above average in that role. I was sad when he was traded out of Detroit, especially for I believe just future considerations. He was a fan favorite here and I hope he does find success in SJ.
Good on the Islanders. I was hoping Vegas would take Duclair before the trade deadline during last years regular season and this off season although I was excited when they picked up Hertl. I just hope he stays healthy this season and plays better than he did in the playoffs.

Boston was #7 in the league last year with Zacah as our number 1 C getting only 59 points making 4.75 mil against the cap. I really dont think Lindholm is as big of a risk as you think. Even if he has a 50 point season we have proven that with our team defense we can easily get into the playoffs and have another strong run.
The alternative is that he thrives on Boston and gets 60-75 points and pushes us that extra bit further that we needed last year while remaining defensively responsible and allowing other players to shuffle on the lineup (like zacha to wing) I like this gamble
I absolutely despise boston, but looking at that team, it has a really good chance to win the east. Ive always liked lindholm overall, think he fits in nicely.

Barring major injuries, I think 35 is going to be the minimum for him in Oilers. 30 for Arvidsson. Wouldn't be surprised to see either one hit 40, at least if they get time on the powerplay. The Oilers offence is going to be so potent this coming season, that we could easily see multiple career years up and down the lineup.

Nash & Tam have similar teams so his #'s shouldn't take a significant drop. He will also be motivated by Tam not resigning him. NYr, R.Smit, I see a bit of a resurgence in NYr kinda like Trochk. But, 50 pts would be tops. Edm, Skinnr. 60 to 70 pts is expected. He will get 8 to 10 goals more in Edm playing with either Drasait or McDav. Tam, Guentz, 70 to 75 pts. Can see him getting 35 to 40 pts SJ, Goodrw, 35 - 40 pts would be maximum to be expected. Still a good player. Pit, Beauvili, puts up a respectable 45 pts with more ice time. Others who could do well on new teams Phi, Drysdale, traded mid-season last yr, & was hurt for almost the rest. So, I count this yr as his 1st really, 40 pts? Was, Chychr, 45 pts one would think is reasonable. Also playing for a big contract next summer (UFA) VGk, Holt, 20 goals, 35 - 40 pts would be a good uptick for him this yr. VGk, Samsonv, I can see him doing well in VGk, taking over as #1 G by yrs end. He was good in Tor, I'm sure he can replicate some of that form. Cgy, Manth, 20 goals is possible, 40 - 45 pts also. Buf, McLeo, expected to be #3 C for them. 40 - 45 pts is reasonable as he has good skills Nas, Skje, 40 pts would be a good yr for him Tam, Mosr, alot of pressure to replace Sergach. But he has the skill to put up 35+ pts in Tam NJ, Pesc, 35 pts would be my ceiling for him. Being overrated a bit, although a good Dman Ott, Amadi, 25 - 30 pts. Surprises VGk did not resign him, useful bottom 6 player SJ, Toffol. Could thrive alongside a good fwd group. 50 - 55 pts would be respectable for him this yr Ana, Col, Dal, Flo, Mtl, Min, NYi, haven't really made any additions that will move the needle too too much.
I know everyone is putting Roslovic on the second line with KK and Necas but I would not mind seeing him on the first line with Aho and still unsigned Jarvis. I think playing with Aho and Jarvis could spark Roslovic. Also I really want to see the line of Svech KK and Necas back together. in 22/23 that was the Canes best productive line. However it was not put back together last year for some reason. Not even in the playoffs. Instead you had zero offense Jack Drury at 2C doing nothing to help Necas.
Last season he played great in San Jose as well. The season before he was terrible, but last season the goalies were a big part of why the team was in most of the games they were in. His traditional numbers weren't great, but that's going to happen when you're playing in San Jose behind a defense corpse instead of a defense corps. He did have a handful of bad games and when they were bad they were really bad, but he had a lot of games that he kept things close.

Kuemper has proven that with a good team in front of him, he will not let you down (Colorado 2022 Stanley Cup), but he cannot carry a team much by himself, Lindgren could in WSH. Offense is pretty much the same in LA, the triple A guys are old, but their defense is better than Washington's, so that's a plus for Darcy, he might bounceback just because of that, yes, I said the team who allowed so few goals last season (WSH) didn't have a defense that is all that good, they traded one of their best away for almost nothing (Orlov) and in a manner I still cannot understand, other than saving money because of the money they have to pay Backstrom even if he might never play again and I think they couldn't outright LTIR-NP (puckpedia has a status named similar to this, it means not-playing (ever again), I think, it's what Carey Price had as his status and others as Nolan Patrick. I could be confused though, :shrug:
The top moves are definitely Guentzel, Stamkos, Pesce, and Tanev. The overrated or bad moves are P.L.Whatever and Bertuzzi. An honorable mention goes to the star GM in Pitsburg - one can see that the Penguins are getting faster and faster...
toffoli wouldve been another one for sj, gives them more than just fabian zetterlund as someone whos scored goals at the nhl level. not counting couture here since his status isnt really known and thinking he should focus on getting healthy.

DeBrusk, Van, surely 30+ goals, 60+ pts. I don't see how he can't get that playing with EP40 or even JT9.
Monah, CLb, I predict 50 pts. I don't see as much a resurgence that we saw last yr. Good player, could be there #2 C. But his contract won't age to well I don't think.
Montou, Sea, 40 pts is probable. Instantly becomes their best offensive D & PP1 QB. I think Sea miss the playoffs.

Det, Tarasenk. Gets underrated every yr recently. Still productive. 50 - 55 pts is likely
Duboi, Was, 60 pts I predict. Very good additions this summer - Mangiap, Chychr, Roy, L.Thomps, Duboi actually has more to work with in Wash than LAk.
Uta, Sergach, 45 - 50 pts maximum for him. He was playing with some of some of the most preiminent fwds in the NhL & D - partner Hedmn. So his #'s will take a small hit. Still an excellent Dman but also coming off a injury.
V.Olofss, VGk, 20 goals my guess, 40 - 45 pts. He will get more ice time in Vegas, was underutilized in Buf the last 3 yrs.
Nas, Stamk, 60 - 65 pts. Nash & Tam have similar teams so his #'s shouldn't take a significant drop. He will also be motivated by Tam not resigning him.
NYr, R.Smit, I see a bit of a resurgence in NYr kinda like Trochk. But, 50 pts would be tops.
Edm, Skinnr. 60 to 70 pts is expected. He will get 8 to 10 goals more in Edm playing with either Drasait or McDav.
Tam, Guentz, 70 to 75 pts. I don't see him getting over a pt. per game, will take some time to gel with new team
Car, Roslov, 20+goals, 45 - 50 pts. He will be eager to improve his stock as he just has a 1 yr deal, & will be playing for a better contract next summer. Good middle 6 fwd.

NJ, Markstr. Could be the largest reason NJ makes the playoffs or gets in as a WC team this yr if he is healthy. A very underrated goalie over the yrs, not that old either. 50 - 60 starts.
Ott, Ullmrk, a bit like Markstr, very underrated goalie. 50 to 60 starts
StL, Texie. Acquired from CLb. Useful middle 6 fwd. Can see him getting 35 to 40 pts
SJ, Goodrw, 35 - 40 pts would be maximum to be expected. Still a good player.
Pit, Beauvili, puts up a respectable 45 pts with more ice time.
Others who could do well on new teams
Phi, Drysdale, traded mid-season last yr, & was hurt for almost the rest. So, I count this yr as his 1st really, 40 pts?
Was, Chychr, 45 pts one would think is reasonable. Also playing for a big contract next summer (UFA)
VGk, Holt, 20 goals, 35 - 40 pts would be a good uptick for him this yr.
VGk, Samsonv, I can see him doing well in VGk, taking over as #1 G by yrs end. He was good in Tor, I'm sure he can replicate some of that form.
Cgy, Manth, 20 goals is possible, 40 - 45 pts also.
Buf, McLeo, expected to be #3 C for them. 40 - 45 pts is reasonable as he has good skills
Nas, Skje, 40 pts would be a good yr for him
Tam, Mosr, alot of pressure to replace Sergach. But he has the skill to put up 35+ pts in Tam
NJ, Pesc, 35 pts would be my ceiling for him. Being overrated a bit, although a good Dman
Ott, Amadi, 25 - 30 pts. Surprises VGk did not resign him, useful bottom 6 player
SJ, Toffol. Could thrive alongside a good fwd group. 50 - 55 pts would be respectable for him this yr
Ana, Col, Dal, Flo, Mtl, Min, NYi, haven't really made any additions that will move the needle too too much.
I know everyone is putting Roslovic on the second line with KK and Necas but I would not mind seeing him on the first line with Aho and still unsigned Jarvis. I think playing with Aho and Jarvis could spark Roslovic. Also I really want to see the line of Svech KK and Necas back together. in 22/23 that was the Canes best productive line. However it was not put back together last year for some reason. Not even in the playoffs. Instead you had zero offense Jack Drury at 2C doing nothing to help Necas.

Last season he played great in San Jose as well. The season before he was terrible, but last season the goalies were a big part of why the team was in most of the games they were in. His traditional numbers weren't great, but that's going to happen when you're playing in San Jose behind a defense corpse instead of a defense corps. He did have a handful of bad games and when they were bad they were really bad, but he had a lot of games that he kept things close.

Kuemper has proven that with a good team in front of him, he will not let you down (Colorado 2022 Stanley Cup), but he cannot carry a team much by himself, Lindgren could in WSH. Offense is pretty much the same in LA, the triple A guys are old, but their defense is better than Washington's, so that's a plus for Darcy, he might bounceback just because of that, yes, I said the team who allowed so few goals last season (WSH) didn't have a defense that is all that good, they traded one of their best away for almost nothing (Orlov) and in a manner I still cannot understand, other than saving money because of the money they have to pay Backstrom even if he might never play again and I think they couldn't outright LTIR-NP (puckpedia has a status named similar to this, it means not-playing (ever again), I think, it's what Carey Price had as his status and others as Nolan Patrick. I could be confused though, :shrug:
